Great Spot

Easy to get to. No service for TMobile or Verizon, but still a great secluded spot.

Excellent new campground

Open, level gravel sites and some concrete pads scattered throughout this pretty new campground. A few baby trees in the open meadow are trying to get started, but other than those there is no shade. We stayed in a full hook up 50 amp site, and experienced no power issues despite 2 days of…

Professionally Done!

Located just off the highway but out of earshot of the major noise, this campground is awesome!

The sites are well maintained and we required no additional leveling. Sturdy and maintained picnic table at each site. Electric at our site -39- was error free. Water pressure is excellent. Wonderful…

Best campground in Marquette

This is by far the best campground in Marquette. Rustic sites only, this is the trail head to a network of snowshoeing, biking, and hiking trails. There are 19 sites, three of which line the field the other 16 are tucked in the woods. The campsites are first come first served and have a self…

  • view of the firepit
  • sunrise from sugarloaf mountain, short drive from the campground
  • View of Blackrocks trail, close to the campground

We love this campground!

We love Tourist Park, and will definitely be coming back! It’s on the back side of the city of Gwinn, which is a smaller more run down little town, 18 miles from Marquette. But this little campground is well kempt! Quiet and relaxing, tucked in the woods with a nice hiking trail, picnic tables,…

Rowdy Campground, Unprofessional Management.

The campground itself was kinda trashed + kids toys everywhere. The bathrooms were dirty and “out of order” like feces on the floor dirty. They had live music every night during the summer, which started at 7 and went well past midnight. We stayed for a couple hours before packing up and leaving…

Bad vibe, didn't stay

It was super crowded when we got there... All sites are practically on top of each other with little privacy. You can't build a fire without a fire ring but not all sites have them. We tried to build our own with rocks around and a woman watching us, camping across from us, came up to tell us that…

Beautiful spot to camp

We got one of the spots closer to the road but turned out great! These spots don't have quite the lake view but seem to feel more quiet and secluded. The lake views were gorgeous, amenities fine. We found this after leaving another spot closer to Marquette that felt uninviting despite all the…

Very nice- good service

Very nice - we were in site 31. Plenty of space and we did not feel like we were too close to others. They had lots of hiking trails near and a bar and pizza place. Nice store, nice staff, pool/ hot tub, and right on the river. You are also able to take a nearby ski lift up the mountain for some…

Newer Campground and Well Laid Out

My family stayer here for five night this past June. Reservations and deposit was easy to do online. Their reservation system was easy to use, able to pick out site and was also able to do some more extensive search criteria on it as well to check availability. The office is a small building as you…

My Go-To campground in Marquette.

Part of the Noquemanon Trail Network for mountain biking.

First come, first serve and only rustic sites.

Some sites don’t have fire pits and are kind of a tight squeeze with precarious tree placement.

Not all sites are like this. Just get there early so you have better selection. There are…

Our favorite place to camp

If you love mountain biking or hiking you stay here. Period. You are right on the trails. Bathrooms and showers are nice. If you have little ones the grom trail rims next to the top camp site. We love going here.

One with Nature

This is one of the favorites. Peaceful, quiet with an adventure that brings it in just under the radar. Very rustic - boat in, hike up, carry out what you carry in. Also, sunrise on your east and sunset on your west. Really is a great spot.

Great area wind tunnel

This was a pretty area but very windy and when it rained it flooded. It also was a long reach to the water hookups. We had to connect a 25 and 50 foot water hoses. Very odd set ups. But great area esp the full hookup water front sites.

Wide Open RV Park

Nice RV park but just not our cup of tea. Sites are really open to one another although the lakefront sites have great beach access to Lake Superior. Even at the “rustic tent sites”, you will see your neighbor clearly. Bathrooms and showers were clean, friendly staff. Just wish there were more…
