13 acres of Upper Peninsula in Michigan's Northwoods pine, birch & maple forest. Completely secluded campsite with 1,000 feet of private Lake Superior shoreline. Our campsite is in an incredibly beautiful location only 50 feet from the water surrounded by towering trees, birds, wildlife and plant life. Large gravel clearing for parking and a great access road that leads you to the site. Fantastic sunset views from the beach, which faces North West and fantastic stargazing on clear nights. Look for Morel mushrooms in April & May also wild blueberries grow in Summer. Many butterflies, hummingbirds and bats at night (they eat the mosquitos).
Our campsite is located only a short drive some popular destinations such as Marquette (30 minutes), Rock River Township (15 minutes), and Onota Township (less than 10mins). Head to the town of Marquette for some great dining spots like Iron Bay Restaurant & Drinkery or Aubree's Pizza and Grill and hiking trails! Noquemanon North Trails Trailhead has some beautiful scenic views of lakes and rivers.
Please see the extras offered for information on firewood and kayaks. Do bring your dog but don't let them wander off there are bears and wolves. There are bugs so bring mosquito repellent and check yourselves for ticks. Also keep the campfires under control as there is dry ground cover and dead trees nearby. You are welcome to open the umbrellas that are in the tables nearby and there is a swing under the platform you can set up and use. Please close umbrellas and secure with bungee cord and return swing & canopy to under platform when finished. My personal camper is located onsite but I won't be staying there when campers are visiting. My Camp Keeper, Tony lives 20 minutes away and he will remove the trash from the can when you are done, just tie the bag and secure the lid so the critters don't get into it . . .
