A Great Place to Camp

Southern hospitality! Has horse camping with covered stalls. Great trails on Green River Lake State Park for hiking, biking & horses. Located close to boat ramps. You’ll be glad you chose Green River Stables!

Entrance into dark sky zone

Camped here a few years ago and got wonderful night sky shots. Definitely worth a stay if you're visiting Big South Fork.Great campers and great scenery

Secluded hike in

One of the only dark sky zones in TN. Great for milky way/ night sky pictures. Quite a bit of elevation change so take that into account

Wow...what a nice little find

So we were unlucky with one campground due to space and knew we wanted to go to Cummins falls so we stumbled upon this while waiting for space. Very unique…it is literally right across the street from the state park entrance. Limited sites but offered primitive and RV spaces so it is perfect. Sites were plenty big but not many trees so your neighbors are gonna talk to you. You can’t be unneighborly here as it’s meant to be a community. General store was closed but it does look to have it all from ice, firewood, candy and ice cream. Can’t wait to come back to here!

The sites are nice and mostly level which is a bonus for the big rvs and there are some in the back that sit up against the forest so you have a bigger player ground. They did have a little area for a stage and playground for the kiddos so that makes it happy for everyone. Does have a locked gate so not everyone can get in which is nice as well.

A little surprised...

So this campground is obviously for those who want to stay longer than a few days and who live some fish. It sits adjacent to a catfish farm where you can fish and eat all in the same breath. The sites have electrical, water, and sewer so they are meant for the long haul camper. It was basic…gravel drive and a picnic table with a fire ring. Can’t get any more simple than that. No reason for amenities when you have the catfish farm right next door.

Unique but very interested! It is perfectly located in between some state parks that are popular and right along the highway.

Doesn't Pay Workers!

As a courtesy, since you both have decided to ignore the court judgement, I am informing you that a 'judgement lien' has been placed against Tn40Rv Campground. This will show on your credit reports, and will have to be paid before you sell the property or apply for loans with property attached as collateral. I will redo this every 10 years as ordered by law. If you want this lien removed, you must send payment in full to my address. I know you have it since you have been to our home. But here it is again in case you wish to pay what you owe me.

The total of judgement and court costs is: $2749.36 I will not accept any other amount. If you send less, it will be returned to you. Leonard Harrison & Mike Boosalis dba: Tn40Rv Campground

Nice getaway!

Spacious sites, very level, and a very clean park. Enjoyed our opening weekend. Great views, lots of playgrounds for the kids. I’m sure this place is hopping during the summer, but it was very relaxed and quiet on the cool, rainy weekend. As others have mentioned, not much cell service, but it was enjoyable. Only downfall for us was no where to “park” when traveling to the different play areas (basketball court, playgrounds etc). Warmer weather would make that better though. Hope to be back during the summer soon!

this is an amazing place to go camping

its a wonder full place to go have fun with kids and family and pets and good for fishing

Fish!

The Barren River Tailwater is a hidden treasure. On the far side of the dam from the main park. Right across the road is Port Oliver and the Twisted Oliver Trail. And fishing ALL around! The campground is partially shaded the sites level and several are right on the water. Several of the sites are close together and would work well for a group. There is a playground and picnic area nearby. In the winter months it is almost empty. In the summer fisher folk and kayakers abound.

Five Star Campers Paradise

If you are considering this site, just go book it now! Our absolute favorite camp site! We visited this paradise for my fiancé’s best friends wedding. They got married at the base of Cummins Falls just across the street. The park rangers and general store staff were the nicest people to work with while arranging their big day. We had two tent sites ($20 a night) and the brides parents had a cabin ($79 a night). The restrooms/showers were immaculate. Showers are set to a timer for lights and have a small area for your things. Bathrooms are also opened by a door code which you get when you purchase a site. They have a playground, and even ice cream in the general store! Camp sites are roomy, with a table and fire pit. We had spots 26&27 and couldn’t have been happier! The parents cabin was adorable and spacious, with a nice grill and fire pit out front. They even had chairs and lights. This location is beautiful and just a short drive from town. Definitely make time while staying here to hike Cummins Falls, it’s worth every second. If we could give this site twenty stars we would! Will definitely be returning!
