Cactus River Ranch RV & Campground

      Peaceful buy the river

A great find. Very nice individual full bathrooms, washer and dryer, and coffee pot. I'll be looking to stay here next year.

Birch Creek Camp on Eight Mile Canyon Road

      Slept near the creek

Very quiet with mountain views. Tent setup right next to the stream. Plenty of open spaces along Birch Creek Rec area, some with bathrooms near by.

      Beaverhead Campground

      Room for dogs to run

Towing a 30 foot toy hauler. Easy in and out and just off of Hwy 15. Free camping at its best. No water, power or dump here but worth staying a night or if you fish stay here and enjoy. The boat launch near the closed snack shack is a great place for dogs to run around and there is a service road to jog/walk around the east and south side of the lake.

      Mountains Hideaway Campground

      Simple but nice

Great for a spot to camp overnight.  Passing through and just needed a place to camp for the night.  Simple but did the job.  Host is very nice and accommodating.

      Challis Hot Springs

      A Crowded Mess

Don't go. This is a crowded mess of campsites all packed in together. The stream that runs by campsites is smelly and evidently polluted with run off from surrounding cattle ranches. Instead, there are many usforest campsites along the salmon river on hwy 75. Cheap, clean and nearly empty with just as good bathrooms at challis

      Pennal Gulch

      Pennal Gulch

Very remote campsite far away from the highway. Dirt roads all the way and two gates that must be opened and closed to get through to BLM land. Beautiful scenic, but remote.

Salmon Creek Camp on Loening Road

      Dugout

Beautiful little site on BLM land right next to the Salmon river. Fairly easy access, one lane bridge off Highway 93 and a short drive on dirt road to the site.

Friendly and clean. I would have no issue staying here again if I was back in the area.
