Best RV Parks & Resorts near Payette, ID

This RV park is home to some super nice Idaho people.  Lots of long term tenants, lots of nice open social spaces.  Just a friendly place to be.  Everything you need is here, pool, market, open space!

We stayed at the Ambassador RV Resort in Caldwell, Idaho in July and September 2021. This is one of the nicest, cleanest, well-maintained parks we have stayed at. This RV resort is a short drive off I84 and when you pull through the front gate, you become immediately aware that you are in for a great stay. The park is impeccably maintained. Huge pull-thru sites on level river rock pads. Directly beside the rock pad is a wide concrete patio area followed by another wide grassy area. Tons of room to set-up and relax outside. The pool, hot tub, and steam room are centrally located and are clean and inviting. The office and maintenance staff are top notch. You can even drop your garbage bag at the back of your camper in the morning and they pick it up and dump it for you. If you need propane, they will pick up your tank and bring it back to you. The resort also has the nicest gated dog run area we have ever seen. The WiFi worked great and they have cable. A lot of resident long term camping here. Not my favorite.

From the start we felt welcomed at this park. Friendly neighbors, both long term and short term, staff and owner.

This was also a convenient location as we are visiting friends, places, events while here. Showed our son around where we use to live.

We stayed at Snake River RV Park in Idaho Falls, Idaho in September 2021. This park is a FHU pull-thru site and also has back-in sites. Our site was flat and level and a snap to set up our fifth wheel. It was windy and dusty during our stay. There was a nice pool and lots of grassy areas to walk our dogs. We stayed at this park in Sept 2022.  We decided to make a reservation again in 2023 because the best part of this park is you are right next to the green belt.  Unfortunately, This place is run with a "like it or not, we don't care" attitude.  Toni, who runs the place, has terrible customer service skills and there is no room for negotiation.  We made a reservation on Mar 17, 2023 for 8 days in August, 5 months in advance and we cancelled on April 2, 2023, within 2 weeks of making the reservation in the first place.  We were required to pay a $300 deposit which is non-refundable.  Their non-refundable policy, is to make up for money lost because a site was tied up, but for this reservation it was tied up for only 2 weeks, so I'm pretty certain they didn't lose money.  We have tried to reach out to Toni by phone at least 10 times.  Once, we even got her husband and he promised us he would have her call us.  Nope.  Never happened.  The customer service rating is because Toni will not return a call and refuses to negotiate.  She won't give the common courtesy to work something out with her.  She really doesn't care what you think or even your side of the problem.   Not a good way to run a business. Like I said, if you ride bikes and like the greenbelt its a okay place to stay but make sure you don't put a $300 deposit down.  The entire park is gravel/dirt roads except for some lawn that a few small campspots are on.  There are lots of residents staying long term in very old and run down trailers.  Kind of junky.  Be careful if you decide to stay here and for sure don't make a reservation for more than a couple of days so you don't lose your deposit.

Fairly quiet RV park near many of Boise’s attractions. Bath house is minimalist but always clean. Small grass area for day camp sites. A little dusty as all roads and sites are gravel/dirt.

Nice little place to pull off for the night. It's just a gravel parking lot right next to an RV park. Beautiful view of the snake river and rolling hills. The bathroom was clean. The amount of bugs at sunset was BIBLICAL!

This motel/rv site is a great jumping off point for rafting, hunting and fishing!  It has a pool which is great because it gets really hot in the summer.  The RV parking is in back of the motel so its not very scenic right there, but the surrounding area makes up for it.

6th RV park in 2 weeks and Ambassador is primo. I was so excited to get some pool time. The park is meticulous. The sites are big with gravel pads with concrete patio area and a very nice round picnic table with attached benches. You can't go wrong staying here.

Well, guess the review below should have been posted after we checked out. Why? We went for a walk and upon our return at 9pm we were greeted by the management advising us we needed to immediately depart. If we didn't we were told we'd be trespassing and.... This is a first for us. A bit surprising as we are both retired health care professionals(surgeon and MPH). Plus, we have volunteered as camp hosts in both state parks and a KOA. Not a good experience. We are in a 38' Class A, and we're assigned site 17. The"guide' took us to our site. He had the people in the next site move their car so we could pull through and back in. Then he directed my husband pull through an area where there was a dead tree with the branches cut off, but still with the trunk and large limbs present. The top of our RV got caught under a protruding branch, scraping the top edge of the coach. The guide shared this was his first week and he didn't understand why they assigned us this site. He got his manager to come look at our coach and the site. The manager said he would have parked us differently, and they are not responsible for the damage. We asked for a different site, and the approach was better. Still very tight. Not a great way to start the visit and very disappointed in the management. Leaving early and likely won't be back or recommend this park to others. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome

We stayed here because it was convenient to the freeway. They gave us a site near the dog walk so our dog could use it. It is right in the city so you have traffic noise. If you are looking for a cannabis shop there are 2 visible from the RV park!

They have a club house with games, a pickle ball court and a basketball court.Family friendly.

This RV park is clean and very well maintained.  There are many full-time RV residents here.  There are also spots for short stays.  There are picnic tables interspersed through out the park with small grassy areas between parking spots. It has propane, horse shoe pits and a large meeting room.  The location is near the the central part of Meridian, there is no open land, rivers or other natural attractions within walking distance.  It is near the Roaring Springs Water Park, shopping and I-84.

Our first camping trip for 2022. Rivers Edge RV park was available and made a no hassle, easy on line reservations.  

I enjoyed the fact that you can kayak from the camp area on the Snake River, and within just a couple miles, you officially kayaked to Oregon. 

We found a local vineyard that is a pleasure to visit. Good food, good wine and a great view of the vineyard while eating. 

The owners (Megan/Turk), made the camping trip wonderful. Full time RV for them, they seem to have a way of making you feel like family at the camp fire. Very down to earth and easy going.

This is our 2nd time here. It's not ideal if you want true camping but for an RV Park, it's top notch. Everything is so well maintained from the grounds to the pools to the laundry room and bathrooms & showers. Hookup is easy and all in good shape. The entire staff is So nice, friendly & helpful. Teddy is the night pool man & a real sweetheart. I gave it 4 stars because the one downside is lack of shade. They have trees but at the back end of the site & are useless for keeping you or the RV cool. Because there is no shade at all, sitting outside on the patio & tiny table is pointless. 98% of the people stay inside. We had to run the AC all day, but there was pretty much always a really nice breeze and would be pleasant to sit outside but in direct sun and that's a hard no. They should invest in sun shades over the patios and it would cut down on AC use. The laundry & showers were immaculate. The pool and jacuzzis were the nicest I've used. We'll stay there again when we're in the Boise area.
