TravelerMy grandson and I spent 23-25 June camping at Father Adamz campground. All of the sites in the campground are level and have adequate shade. The water available in the parking lot is either from a water fountain or the bathroom sink. I am glad we brought along our water filtration system as it was only a short hike down to the river to fill up.
The hike in is pretty steep in parts and very rocky. Definitely a good workout! The hiking trails are well maintained and the scenery is great.

Fall Creek Falls is an hour’s drive. Ideal for a rejuvenating escape. Highly recommended.

GuideThe good: fantastic views of a canyon, and the electric/ RV sites are very nice. They also have EV charging at 35 cents Kwh. A couple of good places to eat nearby.
The not so good: The tent only sites get very muddy when it rains so it's best to watch the weather. The next time I stay here I will book an electric6y/RV site.
GuideGreat campground in the woods lots of shade right on the lake. Our littles loved the beach and all the little rascally squirrels were fun to watch. There was no phone service and no WiFi so unless you bring your own this is a great place to figure out why a weather radio would come in handy! Very peaceful and serene.

GuideFantastic, recently renovated area for camping. Right next to a spring-fed creek, with a camp host and ranger keeping people in check and safe. Toilets only and no hookups. No generators at night (yeay!) Great to test dry camping for newbies.

LegendClosest campground to downtown. Very close to everything that's great about Chattanooga. Caverns and tour are awesome! Campground is meh, nothing spectacular but not terrible, kind of average. The pool is decent, playgrounds are old but still fun. Not much in the way of shade, so kinda hot in July lol. Views are pleasant being on the side of a hill. Chattanooga is so great and this is so close that it makes the rating higher than it would be. Caverns also help. We would stay here again.
