    Cedar Creek RV Park

    Not bad

We stated here one night arriving without a reservation. The office was closed and no one was answering the phone but we were able to register for a site online. That worked reasonably well and we had a quiet relaxing evening. The RV sites are all on gravel but there is a large grassy area near the office. The site is on the edge of town but was fairly quiet.

Nice clean laundry and restrooms. Good base for exploring Black Canyon NP.

    Good Location

Great location for area activities, nice pretty green grass for dogs, bathroom and showers are clean but definitely need an over haul. Positive and negatives are livestock are cute walking around, down sides are poop paddies every where gets annoying.

    The Views and BBQ

Location is all I can Say. Every direction you look is beautiful, onsite restaurant is great, drinks are good, sites level, might need a little updated showers and bathroom to match price. While area is a 10 of 10. Wish we would’ve stayed much longer.

    Very nice

Nice campground with spacious sites. Concrete pads under the picnic table and fire pits. Water access nearby. Bathrooms were super clean and the showers were nice and hot. Laundry facilities available. We stayed on D-183 and had a nice view of the mountains and the lake. Definitely one of the best state park campgrounds in Colorado.

    Ok for over night stop

Mid week after Labor Day. Site d92. Quiet. Flush restrooms are clean. Water spigots close. Power in site. Close to 550 for easy stop. However sites are small and close together. Somewhat level paved driveway. But site is terraced into the hill. 1 bar lte for T mobile If you were here for the lake it would rate higher.

    Riverbend Montrose Colorado

Book it Now! This RV park will fill up quickly. Riverbend is a beautiful park in a fantastic location. What sets this park apart from others is the owners and camp hosts. The park's owners are exceptional; everything they do is done for the benefit of their guests.

     A few examples include oversized RV sites, WiFi, and they even love dogs because they have an off-lease dog park. The camp hosts here are fantastic;

Rob and Becky and Kirby and Robin are two couples that truely went above and beyond. They are simply the best!

We had such a great time we invited several of our friends to come down and rent a cabin, which they all did, and we had an absolute blast! The most amazing trip ever!

Grand mesa is a special place

Grand mesa is the largest mesa in the world. For over 150 years cattle have roamed here. They need to go. It is time. The diversity and wildlife will slowly be destroyed and it is exponential. The climate is changing and places like this need to to be protected they are our arks. No atvs no generators no cattle. Would improve.the place.ten fold. And absolutely no logging. Ban all fires! We are about to lose it all including Grand mesa. Wake up.

Dakota Terraces Campground — Ridgway State Park

Love this area and Campground was lovely!

I've. been visiting this area of Colorado since childhood so it has special meaning for me. We remember the area BEFORE there was a reservoir!  This campground doesn't disappoint!  Our site had a view of Courthouse Peak.  The area feels natural and sites are spaced out. We had water and electric.  There's a dump station on site.

We only had one night here, it was the last night of the season for our area and the next nights were full.

Popular campground likely requires advance reservations for peak season.

Dakota Terraces Campground — Ridgway State Park

Great state park campground, great area!

This is a large state park campground with a lot of activity. The sites are mostly spaced out from each other but not much for trees for privacy. The loops are great for bike riding and walking. The restrooms were clean during our visit, however, there was a water leak problem on our day of departure so the bathrooms were all closed. We had one encounter with the host who made a rude comment at !2:05 when we were still hooking up our trailer for departure. I know, we were a few minutes late, but rude comments are not necessary.

This is a beautiful area for exploring, we always head down and explore Ouray. The reservoir is nice, just super windy so we couldn't paddle board during our visit.

    Beautiful Mountain Views

We stayed at this campground for 3 nights over the 4th of July holiday.  The location is excellent and has beautiful views of the mountains surrounding it.  Town is close by and you can walk to it via the river walk that runs alongside the RV park.  You can watch the fireworks right from the campground.  The staff were extremely kind and helpful.  The bathrooms were clean and the showers looked ok but we never used them so I can't say anymore about them. The campground is dog friendly.  The downside is the sites are very close together.  Some of  the sites are a little larger so you would have a little more space.  We had a picnic table and electric, sewer and water hookups.  We had a river side site but we couldn't actually see the river due to the large berm behind the camper.  We were able to use our gas fire pit so it was no big deal that they don't allow wood fires.  They do rent gas firepits if you don't have one.  All in all this was a nice campground.  I would recommend it.

    Great cozy place for families

We had a great stay in a cabin for our little family and a tent for our other family party. Near each other and close to the bathrooms and playground. Kids loved the playground and jump pad! Close by to Ouray for great SXS and off-road trails. Must tow there with trailer. Beautiful scenery.

    Dry forest

First come, first serve. About 15 sites, close together. 16 USD fee (honor system). Fire pits, picknick tables, bear box (saw black bear cub hanging around one afternoon). Lots of yellowjackets which was an annoyance. Chasm trail starts from camp site with amazing canyon views. Stargazing at night. Water available in summer.

    Sapinero Village Campground

Great Views of Blue Mesa Lake

The owners and family are great.  Very friendly, helpful and area information. Seems to be a community stopping place as there are so few places to get supplies.  The campground is very convenient location for the lake and rivers.  Nice service of coffee and a few microwaved food options. It has a nice game room also.  The views are great as the layout of the campground is terraced on a hillside.  The sites are all parallel park so your door can have a view of the lake.  The owner helps you get situated into the spot.  The parking is gravel and level.  But there is not much space between nose to tail other campers.

    Uncompahgre National Forest Thistledown Campground

    Pure Colorado

A lot of people say this campground contains 9 sites.  That is incorrect.  There are 12 sites!  There are 4 additional sites up the road from Sites 1-8.  Sites 10-12 are walk in camping.  You must haul all of your stuff up the hill but the pluses are: no trailers/rvs and headlights shining into your tent as people depart in the early mornings, very isolated and only fellow tent campers allowed. I enjoyed hearing the sound of the creek every night as I fell asleep.  We camped in site #12 and it was the farthest up the hill.  We hauled all of our stuff up and down every day because there is a lot of bear activity in the area.  My husband got a peek at him our second night and the campers at site 9 (down the hill) also were visited by him.  Sites 10 and 11 share a bear box.  Site 12 has their own box up the hill from the campsite.  The biggest negative is that the walk to the vault toilet is 20 minutes round trip from Site 12.  Cheap camping and a very unique experience.  Highly recommend!

    Clean and close!

A great eat location to call home while exploring the area. Nice views at camp. Clean restrooms and showers! We spent a lot of time in Telluride, Ouray, and Silverton so we did not take advantage of the park. However, there was access to kayak, paddle board, and boat rentals. Great pad area and fire pit. Accommodated our tent well. Close to your neighbors, but not too crazy.

Camping here was nice. Limited trees so summer can be rough in direct sunlight. Sites are okay size wise. Bathroom and shower facilities were clean. Very pretty area. Park staff were super friendly. 5 min from Ridgeway, 25 from Ouray, 45 from Telluride.

Don’t count on Wi-Fi and cell service!!

We work from home, so wifi and cell service are mandatory. I thought we would be good here since Dyrt said Verizon and wifi were good, but we were pulling our hair out at work. Internet barely worked and Verizon, T-Mobile and at&t had 1 bar and barely worked to hot spot.
