Paradise By The Sea RV Resort in Oceanside includes full hookups on concrete pads with picnic tables separating sites, though spaces are tightly arranged. Anaheim RV Park - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Disney Camping - Clean, Pool, Very Nice Restrooms/Showers

Anaheim RV Resort is close to Disney and is on the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route. They have full hook up sites and room for large rigs - back-in and pull through. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog walking/feeding service (for an extra fee). There is a small pool and hot tub. The restrooms/showers and newly remodeled and very nice! Sites are all level and fairly large. We've stayed here 4 times and will be back again!

    Hidden Gem

I loved this place, this hidden gem is located in the in the middle of the city, with the feel of the outdoor. Lots of trees, biking and hiking trails, fishing area, beautiful views, very peaceful, family friendly, pet friendly, the C9 RV spot was very spacious, I also liked the A & B area. Not every site has a fire pit. Definitely coming back again.

    Pechanga RV Resort

This Is A Resort With All Amenities

I spent a few nights using my Passport America discount at Pechanga RV Resort. I really liked it there. This is now one of my favorite RV resorts in California except for the showers. It is clean, well-maintained, concrete, level pads, full hookups, 168 site spaces, 20-30-50 amp power, 5 luxury spaces that The park itself is clean, well-maintained, concrete, level pads, full hookups, 168 site spaces, 20-30-50 amp power, 5 luxury spaces that is fenced in with gazebo, and picnic tables. First of all, it is part of the Casino with entertainment and restaurants. This casino reminds me of the Vegas casinos and now is under construction to make it a real Vegas Style Resort. It’s going to be finished sometimes in 2017.

The RV resort itself has a nice heated pool, Jacuzzi, ping pong table. They also have a golf club which could be important for some. One thing I hated is the showers. The RV resort shower has a timer set to 25 seconds and the showerhead is not able to stand upright. So you basically have to hold the shower in one hand and keep pressing the timer every 25 seconds. It’s December, it’s cold in the shower, especially because the water keeps shutting off. You end up standing soaking wet putting soap on yourself in the cold.

I wonder if the hotel rooms have timer on the showers as well. The person who came up with this idea should take showers in there each night. It pet-friendly resort, they also have an area for dogs. If you heading to the casino, they have a shuttle service 24/7 which picks ups from and drop-offs to and from your space. You have to call a number and they are there to pick you up in minutes.

About the WiFi! It’s the best WiFi ever in any parks I’ve so far visited! I wasn’t even close to the main building and had a great reception. I am able to use my Roku to watch Netflix and can use my laptop as well for work. I didn’t even need my Sprint or Verizon, but both work fine. Across the street, there is a 2-mile bike/walk trail. Using this and riding around the nice neighborhoods it was a fun way to get some exercise.

    Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground

    Bolsa Chica State Beach

The 4 stars is primarily for location. This is essentially a parking lot with power and water. We had a beach front space (B035) with a decent sized palm tree. The only one I really saw. The spaces aren’t huge so if you have a big rig or large trailer it will be tight. Most trailers parked their tow vehicle perpendicular to the space and some barely fit. There is no privacy, the small concrete area is shared with your neighbors as is the entrance to the beach side. People watching at the boardwalk is amazing. There is live music at the beach bars nearby which was cool. Definitely bring bike. There isn’t a lot within walking distance but downtown Huntington Beach and the pier is just a couple miles away.

    Waterfront RV Park

    Great place by the beach

Your not on the beach but literally on the other side of pacific coast highway you are there. They have smaller options for travel trailers with power hook ups only and pull through and back in sites available with full hook ups. They have a great pool, maintained laundry rooms bathrooms and showers separated by men and woman for that privacy you need. Overall an incredible rv park and very impressed by it being well kept and clean. Not to mention close to the beach

Paradise By The Sea RV Resort

    Amazing RV Resort Near Beach

A nicely appointed RV resort in downtown Oceanside with an awesome staff. Pull-through and back-in, full hookup spots available. Cable, wi-fi, a clubhouse with TV and PlayStation for the kids, pool table, games to check out, and a small swimming pool and hot tub. There are also outdoor community areas with ping-pong, bean-bag toss, grills, and other activities.

The resort is only a 5- minute walk to the beach and not far from Oceanside restaurants and shops. While it’s a tad spendy, you really do get a lot for your money with a great near beach location.

    Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park

One of the Best County Parks you will find

This is a great park in Southern Orange County. I have tent camped here for years with my kids in the Live Oak campground and never had a bad experience. There are hiking trails everywhere with lots of wildlife to watch. I switched to a travel trailer several years ago and now use Ortega Flats campground. The sites are big and well spaced, with 30 amp electric. The water is off for the time being. The dump station is very close by and easy to access.

Guide to San Clemente

RV camping near San Clemente offers diverse options beyond the immediate coastline, with sites available in surrounding communities like Vista, Oceanside, and Huntington Beach. Most campgrounds in the region experience mild temperatures year-round with average highs of 70-75°F, though inland locations can reach the 90s during summer months. Sites throughout North County San Diego and south Orange County typically see less crowding during mid-week stays, even in peak seasons.

What to do

Explore Lake Elsinore activities: Launch Pointe Recreation Destination and RV Park offers waterfront recreation with amenities for families. "My family loves this place we were here before the remodeling and we are still faithful returners every year for the past 20 + years we absolutely love it here and the family fun is always amazing," notes camper Ametra J. The site includes a splash pad, playground, and organized activities for children.

Visit nearby historic sites: Rancho Jurupa RV Park provides a convenient base for exploring local history. "We drove over to the Mission Inn (8 min drive) enjoyed lunch. Their is a pedestrian only shopping area with a Saturday farmer's market plus lots of restaurants," shares Jody R. The park offers both natural and paved camping areas with full hookups.

Enjoy beach activities with easy access: Camping near the coast allows for convenient beach days. "Just spent two weeks here including thanksgiving holiday... go out the locked gate at the back of the grounds, walk thru a park and across a (not too busy) street and there is the Pacific Ocean," explains a visitor to Paradise By The Sea RV Resort. Many coastal sites provide direct beach access paths or are within walking distance of popular beaches.

What campers like

Clean, well-maintained facilities: Escondido RV Resort receives praise for its upkeep. "It's a beautiful place and its kept immaculate. Staff is kind and professional. The grounds are layed out great. Its located close to alot of attractions," writes Michael H. Many campers note the cleanliness of restrooms and shower facilities throughout area campgrounds.

Family-oriented amenities: Launch Pointe Recreation Destination and RV Park offers extensive recreational options. "Great campground for families. Lots of activities for the kids to do, like smores by the fire, art, splash pad, and play ground. Facility was clean," notes Jeff E. Many parks provide specialized areas for children with organized activities during peak seasons.

Convenient locations: Sites in north San Diego County provide strategic positioning for multiple attractions. "Great North County location... Close to Legoland and the beach," comments Tony B. about Olive Avenue RV Resort. Many campgrounds serve as effective base camps for exploring both coastal and inland attractions within a 30-60 minute drive.

What you should know

Site spacing varies significantly: Many coastal RV parks have limited space between sites. "We aren't used to staying at RV resorts like the Newport Dunes, but it was a fun change of pace... The site itself is fairly tight," notes Zach R. about Waterfront RV Park in Huntington Beach. Space constraints are most common at premium coastal locations.

Noise considerations: Environmental sounds affect some campgrounds more than others. "I hope you like cozy. Neighbor in campsite next to us yapped his belligerent drunken mouth all weekend," reports Theresa S. about Newport Dunes. Train tracks near coastal campgrounds can create intermittent noise, while inland locations may experience less disruption.

Reservation planning: Popular sites fill quickly, especially during peak seasons. "We arrived in the middle of Dec. It's a beautiful place and its kept immaculate," notes Michael H. about winter camping at Escondido RV Resort. Most regional campgrounds accept reservations 3-6 months in advance, with some premium coastal locations booking up to a year ahead for summer weekends.

Tips for camping with families

Look for dedicated children's activities: Newport Dunes RV Resort provides organized programming for younger campers. "We stay here every year. They have activities for the kids like arts and crafts, an inflatable obstacle course or you can rent paddle boards or watch a movie on the beach," shares Karissa J. Several parks offer seasonal recreation programs during summer months.

Consider campgrounds with swimming options: Pools provide alternatives when ocean conditions aren't ideal. "This campground has small sites like most RV parks do, but there was a lot of fun things to do with the kids. They had a movie on the beach when we were there, and fun water toys out," mentions Kimberly A. about Newport Dunes.

Seek out secure environments: Gated campgrounds provide additional safety. "Great sense of community and great placement of the gates for safety purposes. Lots of food spots within 10 minutes. Spaces are one of the cleanest I seen. Ranger is on constant patrol," notes Troy A. about Rancho Jurupa Park.

Tips from RVers

Prepare for site leveling challenges: Some campgrounds require extra equipment for proper setup. "We had a pull through site with full hook ups; it was on a cement pad that was nice, but the city made them slope all the pads for water drainage … a huge amount! We maxed our our tongue on multiple boards to level off," explains Michael about Olive Avenue RV Resort.

Verify utility connections before arrival: Available hookups vary between parks. "There's a dump station, but a couple spots with dump but they were always booked. I will book ahead next time. 50⚡️ 💧👍," advises Kaitlynn B. about Rancho Jurupa Park. Not all sites provide full hookups, and some state beaches offer electric and water without sewer connections.

Check age restrictions for your RV: Some parks limit older vehicles. "Beautiful RV resort with short drives to the beach, San Diego, and casinos. Full hook ups, pool, dog walk. Little pricey and has RV age restrictions but I sent pics and was allowed eveen though I was outside the age," reports Paul N. about Escondido RV Resort. Several premium RV parks enforce 10-15 year age limits for rigs, though exceptions may be granted with photo approval.
