From its humble beginning as a 940-acre park atop Double Oak Mountain established by the Alabama State Lands Act of 1927, Oak Mountain State Park has grown to 9,940 acres making it Alabama’s largest state park. With the largest land-area, one of the widest varieties of outdoor activities of any state park, and its proximity to Birmingham, Oak Mountain is a perfect stop while traveling to and from the state’s largest city. Welcome to Greensport RV Park located at Historic Greensport on Neely Henry Lake in Ashville, AL. Bring your RV or Camper to enjoy fishing, boating, camping, picnicking, and swimming. All sites have full hook-ups, 30/50 amp electric, water, and sewer, picnic tables, fire pits, and high speed Wi-Fi. Other amenities include a bath house, laundry, playground, jumping pillow, walking/biking/hiking trails, and a General Store on site. Come check out what our peaceful retreat has to offer you and your family!

We hope to utilize the beautiful scenery steeped in rich family history, delivering all guests an unrivaled camping experience with the right amount of activities and amenities, developing continued, loyal customers.



Greensport RV Park and Campground

Set up your campsite in a field near the road (for easy unloading of gear) or go part way back into the woods for a little more privacy. If you REALLY want to be alone you can Hike 10 to 15 minutes down towards the creek and set up in a much more remote location where the local deer may be the only ones to visit you in the morning. There are even some cows that come over to visit during the day . Duck river is just minutes away and has some great fishing and boating. There are hiking and mountain biking trails around the river. The side roads have nice views of the local farms and would also be a great place to bike. The town is about 10 minutes away and the city is 20 minutes away.  There is room for a couple of small tear-drop trailers and vans too. I can fit one or two RVs in also. Please no loud radios .  There is a full bathroom with hot shower too !

Tomahawk  Campground

The closest privately owned RV Park to the Talladega Superspeedway(TSS), only 200 yard from the stands. Grandstand RV Park is under new ownership and we are now OPEN YEAR-ROUND.

We are a very clean and quiet campground only 3 miles off the highway. Owners are on site to assist 24/7 so come in at any hour and you will have help! VERY large (45'x75') pull through sites. You wont even need to unhook while you are staying. Full hook up sites available. We have a convenient store on the property and sell beer, ice, firewood, snacks and other camping essentials. **Pets are welcome!** We have a double dog park, horseshoes, basketball court and a kids play area at the front of the campground. Firepits are available upon request.
