What to do
Disc golf course access: Breezy Hill Campground features an 18-hole disc golf course near the camping area. "Family friendly campground. Plenty for the kids to do. Theres a fishing pond (catch and release) arcade, jumping pillow etc," notes Matthew J., who visited in August.
Outdoor movie nights: Apple Creek Campground hosts regular outdoor movie screenings during summer weekends. "Nice place for kids and anyone who likes calm quiet camping," shares Josh U. The campground maintains a family-friendly atmosphere with structured activities throughout the camping season.
Tower observation: Visit the observation tower at Broughton Sheboygan Marsh Park Campground for panoramic views of the surrounding marshland. "This was the strangest camping experience I've ever had... I might of enjoyed it more if I had time to explore the area and the tower," mentions Emily M., suggesting visitors allocate time specifically for the tower.

Private campsites: Devils River Campground offers more secluded spots for those seeking quieter glamping near Forest Junction. What you should know
Seasonal availability: Most glamping accommodations close to Forest Junction, Wisconsin remain available only from mid-April through mid-October. According to one camper at Plymouth Rock Camping Resort, "We were there Labor Day weekend huge campground of course it was very crowded. I didn't like our site no tress I felt like I was in my front yard."
Water conditions vary: Lake access points may have changing water quality. "It was really inconvenient for none of the amenities to be open. The campsites were ON TOP of each other... the lake view was less than amazing," notes Christopher S. about waterfront camping at S'Mores Campground.
Reservation requirements: Premium glamping sites fill quickly, particularly for summer weekends. "We didn't have a reservation and showed up on a Tuesday and camped for a few nights. If you plan to camp for a weekend, you must make a reservation way in advance," advises Shanon P. about camping at Kohler-Andrae State Park.
Tips for camping with families
Playground proximity: Request sites near playground facilities for easier supervision. "The kids enjoyed the pool and playground area. The set up is great, a little confusing the first time but easy to learn," shares Annabelle G. about S'Mores Campground.
Specialty programs: Kewaunee RV & Campground offers special attention to younger campers. "Stayed there for our daughters birthday weekend. The owners overheard us talking as we checked in and brought her campfire colors as a gift all wrapped," reports Mark, highlighting the family-friendly atmosphere.
Water activities: Most family-oriented campgrounds maintain dedicated swimming areas separate from fishing zones. "The swimming is pretty good and there is now plenty of space. The only possible downside with small children, as there is no fence around the pond, and there are sites that border the pond," explains Jimmy P. about Devils River Campground.
Tips from RVers
Site leveling: Many RV sites in the area require minimal leveling. "We stayed 6 nights in our 36 fr motor home with tow. Even though we were on a hill the campsight was level. We had plenty of room for rv and tow," notes Robert O. at Apple Creek Campground.
Hookup access: Blue Top Resort offers partial hookups with additional services. "It offers RV pull through sites with electric and water... I only gave it 4 stars because we prefer full hookup but they did offer pump out service for a small fee," explains Marge.
Road conditions: Some campgrounds feature narrow access roads that challenge larger rigs. "This is a small campground... I can't say I'd recommend it as a vacation spot. But it's decent for a place to pass sometime if you are full time or need a place to stay in the area," advises Ross C. about navigating Apple Creek Campground with larger RVs.
