Situated along the Texas Gulf Coast, the Sabine Pass area contains several full-hookup RV parks with varying amenities. Gulf Coast RV Resort features concrete pads with full hookups including 50-amp electric service across its pull-through sites. Boomtown USA RV Resort, located in Vidor, accommodates big rigs with level concrete pads and complete water, sewer, and electrical connections. "The sites are fairly close together, cannot have a fire at all unless it's in your grill. All sites are pull through, with full hookups," noted one camper about Gulf Coast RV Resort. Bolivar Peninsula RV Park offers 130 sites with similar hookup options, while Hidden Lake RV Park provides concrete pads large enough for substantial motorhomes, with one reviewer mentioning "site 30, which is a pull through large enough to accommodate big rigs."

Most RV parks in the region remain open year-round, though reservations are recommended during winter months when snowbirds migrate to the Texas coast. Highway noise affects several parks, particularly those near Interstate 10. One reviewer noted that Rio RV Park at Turtle Bayou is "literally right next to interstate 10 and VERY NOISY!" Cell service varies throughout the region, with parks reporting between 1-4 bars depending on carrier. Dump stations are available at most parks, though reviews indicate some have inconveniently positioned sewer connections requiring extended hoses. Several parks including Boomtown USA RV Resort and Gulf Coast RV Resort maintain shower facilities and laundry rooms. Pet policies generally allow dogs with designated pet areas at larger facilities. Beach access remains a notable feature for coastal parks, though salt air can affect motorhome exteriors.

      Hidden Lake RV Park

      Quiet

We stayed here as an easy close spot to Ford Arena Softball Fields. Literally 3 minutes there. It's a small quiet park that has a few full-time campers. A small lake with free use of canoes and peddle boat available. A laundromat, bathroom and showers are on site; all very clean. Some of the sites are quite close with little shade. Most all have level concrete pads and full hookups. We stayed in site 30, which is a pull through large enough to accommodate big rigs.

      Holly Beach RV Park

Great RV park and a Great Beach

This review is about the Holly Beach RV park that you pay to stay at. There is free camping on the beach. but we stayed at the Holly Beach RV Park located on Mallard street

We stayed 3 nights at the Holly Beach RV Resort and we were the only one here. The park is a large concrete slab in the middle of the Holly Beach community. It has 6-8 back-in, full hook-up sites that can fit any big rig. The beach on the Gulf of Mexico is a very short walk away. Our stay was very quiet and enjoyable. There is free camping on the beach should you want to boondock on the beach. We saw very few locals due to the time of year. All of our hooks-up worked perfectly. The sites are all 50 amp so bring a 30 to 50 amp adapter. I recommend this RV park highly and would stay here again. There is no shower or bath house or laundry. Overall we really loved this place.

Grand Pines of Texas RV Resort

Three Years New Campground with a Great Staff and Extra Amenities

I was surprised this campground had not been reviewed.  We stayed here in Jan '24 on the way to Houston for business.  Grand Pines is located on I-10 southeast of Beaumont TX.  Sites are all full hook-up, back-in concrete 60' x 20' leaving room for us to park our tow car. Grand Pines has high speed WIFI and free laundry facilities.  Grounds were well kept when we were there. Sites are a bit close together. They may now have more long term usage than transient. Still, it is a great stop over to catch up on domestic duties.

      Alligator Parish Park Campground

      Clean and quiet

Stayed one night in 30 ft travel trailer (May 2,2022) and we were the only campers. There were other visitors/fisherman but quiet and peaceful. Restrooms clean and spacious. Shower was separate and locked but host would unlock as needed. All 7 pads are gravel, level, elevated above grass—helpful after hard rain— and would accommodate large rigs. Lake or old river course 100 plus feet from campsites. May bring kayaks next time. Road access is good and signs to guide you. One bar cell service. Each site has sewer but not conveniently located—near entrance to site and would require very long hose or require rigs to block access road when dumping This park happened to be along our route to another campground and not along major highway. Nice place to relax overnight or for few days.

      Vinton RV Park

Easy to Access, Great for Overnight Stop or Long Term

Only $375/mo for Long Term, All Utilities Included, Free Wi-Fi and Free Laundry!

We were heading back to Texas after Spring Break and needed a quiet, easy stop for the night. Vinton RV Park ended up being a perfect fit for our family. It’s right off I-10, super easy to find and book, and felt peaceful the moment we pulled in. At first, we had looked at a few other parks online that looked a bit more“luxury” in the photos, but when we got here, we were honestly surprised—in a good way. The amenity center here is actually really nice and has more of a resort feel than some of the other places nearby. Our boys had a blast riding their bikes around the park. It’s a big property, and we felt totally comfortable letting them run around since it’s well off the main road. There's even a gate at the entrance, which adds an extra layer of peace of mind(it was open when we arrived, but I imagine it gets closed later on). All in all, it was a great family-friendly stop, and we’ll definitely keep it on our list for future trips.

Trinity Bay RV Park & Lodging

      Great park with scenic views

Great park. Stayed for a month over winter.  Friendly, responsive owners. Well maintained. Sunrise/sunsets are picture worthy.  Level, concrete pads.  Very big rig friendly. Next door to city park with boat ramps and good playground.

      Village Creek State Park Campground

      Maiden Voyage

Our first stop in the maiden voyage of our travel trailer and this park was good and kind to us. Beautiful, level pull-thru sites with plenty of space from others, shade and sun and within walking distance to bathhouse and swim beach. Mosquitoes abound and there is no cell signal or wi-fi. Prepare to drive 20 minutes to grocery.

Sewer connections: Some campgrounds have challenging sewer hookups. "It also caused a hill for the sewer hose to run uphill," reports a Gulf Coast RV Resort camper, suggesting RVers bring additional equipment for proper drainage.

Extended stay options: Several RV parks accommodate longer-term camping. "We stayed for a month March 2021 and chose this place because it was the only rv park with a big dog area," shares a Bolivar Peninsula RV Park visitor who appreciated the monthly rate option.
