Inks Lake State Park is great for a day trip or a weekend getaway. Because the lake’s level usually stays constant, you can play here year-round.
Inks Lake camping offers many activities such as backpack, geocache, play volleyball, picnic, and observe nature. We have 9 miles of hiking trails through shady forests and across rocky hills. Hike Pecan Flats, a self-guided 3.3-mile trail that is perfect for the whole family, or stop by our bird blind. Rent our group picnic pavilion for your next family reunion. On the water, you can swim (no lifeguards on duty), boat, water ski, scuba dive and fish. We have set aside a large, no-wake zone for paddling.

Texas’s tallest waterfall, Gorman Falls, is the prime attraction for visitors of Colorado Bend State Park. This 70-foot marvel can be reached from a moderate 3-mile hike where you can enjoy cool mist from the spring-fed waters upon your arrival.
There are 15 drive in campsites at Colorado Bend where you can park RVs up to 30 feet, though the rest require some extra work to reach. 28 walk-in campsites can be found in the main campground, as can two primitive group campsites near the river. Looking for even more rugged seclusion? Hike to the Backcountry Windmill area where you will find designated backcountry sites just a mile from the trailhead. Every camper will find what they need at Colorado Bend State Park.
Sites #1-29 are only for tents, and are along the riverbank. You must carry your gear about 50 yards. Water is in the area, but not at each site.

Sulphur Springs Camp is a private campsite located in Bend, Texas with a number of camping options.
Cabins: For the person who loves the outdoors but still likes some of the comforts of home, Sulphur Springs Camp, Inc. is the place to be. Our modern lodges are completely furnished. All lodges are air conditioned with full kitchens, restrooms, cooking utensils and linens. Reservations for these lodges are strongly recommended. Cabins range from two bed lodges which can accomodate up to six people, to five bed lodges which can accomodate up to fifteen people. Picnic tables and barbeque grills enhance your camping experience. Tents are not allowed at the cabins. Check in time for cabins is 3:00 PM, and check out time is 11:00 AM.
RV Hookups: Many people today are R.V. enthusiasts. The camp has plenty of hookups located at the river's edge. These feature water and electricity with dump station, and may be rented on a daily, monthly, or yearly basis. Restrooms and public showers with hot and cold water are also located in the park area. Reservations are not required for an R.V. space, however, we will have plenty of room for you! Tents are not allowed in the R.V. area.
Tent Camping: For the outdoorsmen who prefer to tent camp or to "rough it", this is the place! There are approximately three miles of river front that is accessible by a gravel road. Campsites are shaded by large native trees and high rock cliffs. This beautiful setting is what people are talking about when they talk about the "Great Outdoors". For the nature loving outdoorsmen, this is a bit of paradise on earth. Check out time for camping is 9:00 AM. Reservations are not required for campsites. Come early and pick your favorite spot.

Located in Bend TX, in San Saba county, with over 3 miles of river frontage, you'll enjoy primitive camping, fishing, swimming, and lots of nature. Our RV Park offers 38 pull through sites, just feet from the river. We offer daily kayak and paddle board rentals for our customers to explore our ranch up and down the river. Forget to pack something? Our Barefoot Country Store has you covered! Whether it's ice, the bare essentials or even a box of worms for fishing, we've got what you need! Want to explore nature? Our ranch offers over 12 miles of hike and bike trails where you can get up close with nature. You'll find lots of wildlife on our trails & are sure to make many memories with your family. This is a backcountry wilderness, low-impact, limited footprint camping area. It is not a group camp area. All tents must be in the boundary of the sites, with only four people per site. Camping outside the designated area is prohibited. Campsites are one mile from the Windmill Trailhead, but you can park at any trailhead in the park to customize your hike. The Windmill Backpack Area is five miles from the river and the main campground. No water or toilets are available in this area. No open fires are allowed, but you may use containerized fuel stoves for cooking. Carry out all trash and dispose of it properly.
