Several established RV parks operate near Boerne in central Texas. Alamo Fiesta RV Resort offers 50-amp electric hookups with sewer connections and water, accommodating large motorhomes and fifth wheels across its spacious grounds. Spring Branch RV Park provides full hookup sites with electric service, drinking water, and sewer connections year-round. Boulderdash Cabin & RV Park maintains 10 sites with both 30-amp and 50-amp service options, featuring picnic tables and allowing campfires. Road access varies among parks, with some requiring navigation around construction zones. The entrance to Alamo Fiesta RV Park can be challenging during ongoing highway construction, requiring careful attention to signage. Most parks in the region maintain clean bathroom facilities and showers, though after-hours check-in procedures vary. Travelers report inconsistent WiFi performance, with Spring Branch offering generally reliable connections while other parks provide minimal signal strength. Pet policies typically allow animals but may include restrictions. Winter visitors find milder temperatures favorable for camping, though summer heat often necessitates reliable air conditioning. Dump stations are available at most established parks, with sanitary dump service at Travelers World, Spring Branch, and Alamo Fiesta.

      Mission City RV Park

      Cream of the Crop

You don't get a much nicer RV park than this in a major city. It hits all of the marks: mass transit at your doorstep; pool, laundry, showers and a gift shop at the entrance; easy pull-through, level sites; picnic tables at each site; quaint southwestern style! This is a nice park for the overnight or the long stay, and it has easy access to major highways.

Hill Country RV Resort & Cottage Rentals

Nice Park with little room between sites

The park it’s self is nice and clean.  Staff for the most part is friendly and nice.  The pool is a hopping place over summer break and on the weekends when it’s warm.  RV sites are tight in the daily/weekly sites and parking your 40+ foot rig and tow vehicle in the spot are probably not happening.  They do have over flow parking and depending on your site it could be a good walk.

They are pet friendly and have several dog parks and potty areas through out the park.  The laundry room is like no other I’ve ever been too.  All machines operate via debit/credit cards, no more quarters!!

Over all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this park for monthly stays or in one of their top tier sites for daily/weekly stays.

The Vineyards of Fredericksburg RV Park

Tight Park in an Open Field

Pros Just 3 miles from the popular downtown shopping district

Level gravel site with mini picnic table and fire ring

Very nice rally hall, group fire pit and group pavilion

Very nice and very clean shower and toilet facilities

Combo code required to access toilets and showers

Majority of sites are pull thru

      $1.50 on-site laundry

      Residential size hot tub

      Small pool

      Volleyball net

      Small Playground

100% occupancy during our 2 night stay

      Park WiFi

      4 bars Verizon signal

      Cons

Just an open field. No shade. This is not even a vineyard!

      Very tight check in parking

Lots and lots of tall speed bumps throughout park

Small tree between site prevent our awning deployment

Sites tightly packed together; Our sewer connection was inches from next site’s picnic table!

Most of the time during our stay in site 80, there was a horrific odor from the sewer lift station 100 ft away

      Not dark sky friendly.

Street lights and utility pedestal lights.

Initially assigned site was changed without any notice so our request to be sited away from a street light not honored

Significant traffic noise from Hwy 87 (even at night) and we were half way down the park Unable to access all 24 cable TV channels; could only connect to 6 channels.

      Old River Road RV Resort

      Great place anytime of year!

This is a great park for a few days weeks, or a season. The sites are a decent size whether back in or pull through. All have full hookups with level sites and a picnic table. There are two dog parks, a bouncy feature, playground, basketball court, I door and outdoor pools with hot tubs as well as laundromats, exercise room, clean bathrooms with showers. They also have very nice cabins. There is a huge community/rally room with a full kitchen as well as a game room. The park has planned activities. The staff is friendly and helpful. They even have golf cars for rent. The park is located next to a river for fishing.

      Alsatian RV Resort

      Exceptional Customer Service

This campground(CG)/RV resort has exceptional customer service. We were on a waitlist to add another day to our reservation. They proactively called us back about a month later to let us know they could accommodate another night’s stay. We followed the website instructions to come in so we could take a right turn into the RV Resort, which is a 1/4 mile from the golf course entrance. A very short rig could take a left turn. The gate was down so we called the number listed on the gate and we were let in for a very pleasant check-in. We were assigned pull-through site 406 with FHUs. There’s a slope off the front of the site, so I needed to center the rig on the level part of the cement pad. By doing this I needed 20’ of sewer hose to get from my rear black tank to the sewer. The CG was quiet with no kids running around as this is a 55+ CG. The guest internet was below average for a park this size, but we have Starlink. We got 3 bars on Verizon. Most of the campers here were seasonal with license plates from CO, MN, and WI. Several of the campers we talked to didn’t golf and came here to get away from cold weather. We did not see any overnighters during our four-day stay but this CG is fairly far from the San Antonio area interstates. CG was well-kept with no junky sites. They have a laundry room, but a couple of machines were not working. The sites were decently spaced and very long. Many reviewers called the sites spacious. The sites were not as far apart or as large when compared to many of the State Parks or Corps of Engineers CGs we’ve stayed. Get pizza from Luigi's Italian Restaurant in nearby Castroville as it’s in the top 5 pizzas we’ve had as we traveled through all lower 48 states. We enjoyed our stay, including playing their challenging golf course, and would definitely return.

      Kerrville-Schreiner Park

      Good family friendly park

This park was close to a local event we wanted to attend, and we were very happy with it and will definitely go back. The first row is all pull through sites with full hookups, although we do have a shorter trailer (24’) and I’m not sure how much luck you would have with a truly big one. Most sites had a stone or wood picnic table, shady trees, and a fire ring. We saw a deer, squirrels, and even a herd of blackbuck antelope. Our particular site was number 121 and it had a feral cat shelter, which we saw several of the cats and one caretaker stop by. There are hiking trails and the park itself is minutes from many nearby attractions. My husband checked out the camp bathrooms for me for this review and he said they were smaller but clean and acceptable.

Overall a comfortable little park, sites not overcrowded together, and reasonably priced. Good job Kerrville.

    Guide to Boerne

Campgrounds near Boerne, Texas offer various recreational activities while serving as bases for exploring the Texas Hill Country. Located at elevations between 1,200-1,800 feet, the area experiences mild winters with occasional freezes and hot summers that often exceed 95°F. Most campsites in the region can accommodate both tent and RV camping, with differing levels of shade protection depending on the property's tree coverage.

    What to do

Visit the Riverwalk in San Antonio: Just 30 minutes from Boerne's RV parks, the famous San Antonio Riverwalk offers dining, shopping and sightseeing. "Located about 5 miles from The Alamo and Riverwalk. Both are a must see. We spent 3 days here and this park did not disappoint," notes a visitor at Travelers World RV Resort.

Bicycle the river trails: The Mission Reach trail system connects to downtown San Antonio. "The easy access to the river affords you miles and miles of bike and walking paths. The sites are spacious, and well maintained," says one Travelers World RV Resort guest. Some paths require caution as security concerns exist in certain areas.

Explore local historic sites: The region includes multiple historic missions. "Short drive to the Missions and the River walk. Can't believe there is a campground so convenient to everything," explains a camper from Travelers World RV Resort.

    What campers like

Clean facilities: Bathrooms and showers at most Boerne area campgrounds receive positive reviews for cleanliness. "Bathrooms were always clean and even have private showers. They also have very nice cabins for those who don't have r.vs," reports a guest from Old River Road RV Resort.

Swimming options: Many parks offer water recreation. "They have river access for swimming and fishing as well as 2 swimming pools. One out door pool with a splash pad for the little ones. Then they have an indoor pool and hot tub that is heated," notes a camper at Old River Road RV Resort.

Wildlife viewing: Deer sightings are common at several campgrounds. "Deer walk around the park all day and night. Dog friendly even with 'aggressive' dog breeds," mentions a visitor to Thousand Trails Medina Lake. Many parks provide corn for feeding deer.

    What you should know

Cell service and WiFi: Connection quality varies widely between properties. "Free Wifi works great and good speed! Great cell service as well," reports a camper at Spring Branch RV Park. In contrast, some campgrounds have limited connectivity options.

Seasonal considerations: Winter visitors generally find mild temperatures, while summer campers need reliable cooling options. "We stayed a few days in July, then again in August and lastly September," notes one Travelers World guest, suggesting multi-season appeal despite summer heat.

Check-in procedures: Late arrivals may face challenges at some locations. "No one in the office. Everything was dark. Our late check in info was not in their box," reports a visitor at Alamo Fiesta RV Resort, highlighting the importance of confirming after-hours protocols.

    Tips for camping with families

Look for parks with multiple recreation options: Some facilities offer various activities beyond swimming. "They have 2 play grounds and one of them is covered and located next to a jump pad," notes a visitor to Old River Road RV Resort.

Consider pet policies: Most parks welcome pets but have specific rules. "Dog friendly. Clean grounds, clean bathroom/shower. Friendly, helpful staff," mentions a camper at Travelers World RV Resort.

Research river access safety: Water levels can fluctuate seasonally. "The lake was dried up during our stay, but it was still beautiful views all around," explains a camper at Boulderdash Cabin & RV Park, indicating that water recreation varies by timing.

    Tips from RVers

Confirm site dimensions before booking: Site sizes vary considerably between RV parks near Boerne. "We stated close to the water which btw is just water and electric. If you want full hookups you will need to be a short distance away from the lake," advises an RVer at Thousand Trails Medina Lake.

Check highway access conditions: Road construction can impact navigation. "The entrance to the park is directly off of 281, so a good idea to slow down ahead of time!" warns a visitor to Spring Branch RV Park.

Verify hookup options at specific sites: Available services differ within individual parks. "Our site had Full Hookups with the option of 30 or 50 amp. Shady spot, spacious and very level site which made backing in much easier!" notes a camper at Spring Branch RV Park.
