Best RV Parks & Resorts near Granville, TN

Made in The Shade RV Park in Granville provides electric hookups with 50-amp service for larger motorhomes, operating year-round with drive-in access for recreational vehicles. Four Corners RV Resort near Antioch offers full hookup sites including electric, water, and sewer connections in a more developed setting with big rig accessibility. "Sites were clean and spacious. Each spot was sort of raised deck," noted one visitor describing the unique elevated RV platforms at Edgar Evins State Park. Paradise on the Mountain RV Park in Crossville maintains 100 sites with both 30-amp and 50-amp electrical service, plus water and sewer hookups, allowing recreational vehicles of various sizes.

Navigating to several regional campgrounds requires careful planning, as some parks feature steep roads and challenging inclines. One RV owner reported, "When we were able to get the camper level the tongue was 40 inches high. We had to borrow blocks from the Rangers in order to stabilize the front." Cell service varies significantly throughout the region, with Floating Mill receiving feedback that "we had AT&T and got 1 bar which resulted in 1mb download." Most RV parks maintain operational dump stations and trash collection, though availability of amenities like propane fill services is limited. During peak seasons, particularly in fall when foliage viewing is popular, advance reservations become essential as many lakeside sites fill quickly.

    Edgar Evins State Park Campground

    GlamperGirl

This is my favorite place to camp. If you have furbabies you will love it. All campsites except the primitive are huge decks. Electric, water, grill, fire ring, picnic table and canopy of trees. Bathrooms are always clean. Showers have hot water fast. Fire wood is all around in the woods. Kayaking is great! Put in below Center Hill dam. 6 mile run of clear cold water! Stocked with trout. I don't fish but if you do, you will need a trout stamp. If you don't own kayaks there is a store called Big Rock Market. You can contact them and they will set you up with kayaks and they drop off and pick you up. So, back to the campground. Dog friendly, clean, 30 and 50 amp.,coin laundry at the camp store. Dump station and trash. Playground for children, view of the lake from most sites. Marina where you can rent boats. I just can't say enough about this awesome place. Friendly staff. I actually just stopped the ranger driving by to ask him a few questions. I am at site 9 this time. Usually 25. Some have inclines or declines. 9 has a slight decline 25 is flat. When you go to the map and click on a site it will tell you. Like site 23 is right next to a bathroom, but it has a steep incline. So pay attention to that when booking. There are hiking trails and wildlife. The woodpeckers start about 6:00 am. LOL! I have not seen a snake in the camping area. Just deer and birds.

    Elm Hill RV Resort

    Beautiful location

This park is located on a peninsula on a lake close to Nashville. Almost every site has a view of the water on flat concrete big pads. Some sites, on higher land, are mostly long term residents. Most sites are back in but there are a few pull through. Each site has all hook ups and are very well maintained. The sites are close together but not uncomfortable. There is a camp store at the main office. The pool is very nice and there are games, a playground and a pavilion. There was a band there during my stay. Activities planned throughout the month. It is more expensive than most but the quality of the site is worth it.

    Shady Acres RV Park

    Shady Acres campground, Lebanon Tn

This is a perfect spot for passing through town. We are in our way to North Carolina from Mississippi. My husband made this reservation over the phone with a really trusting kind person. They double checked the availability because they were almost totally full. It was a pull through spot close to the bathrooms. We were able to use just electrical hook up for the night to rest. It’s a few minutes off I-40 and lots of gas options close by. It’s only minutes from Nashville downtown. This is a family owned business with a permanent house in the front. Looked like there were some long term rental people here. If it were summer months there is a pool up front. We will add this to our list for location and price!

    Four Corners Resort and Marina

    First Official Campsite

This was our first official campsite. We were here from December to March. Reservations were easy to make. Check-in was a breeze. The ladies at the front desk are super kind. The maintenance people were caring and considerate.

There is a laundry area and a bathhouse. There were 2 smaller washers and one big washer. The big washer didn't work while we were there, which would have been more convenient. There were 2 regular dryers and one large gas dryer, which was amazing and could dry everything in 20 minutes.

The bathhouse is warm and roomy. There were only 2 stalls and 2 showers, but the showers had enough space that you weren't getting dressed in the same space.

There is a pool and a hot tub, but since we were there in the winter months, we didn't use those. Next to that, they had a big chess game, which my kids were able to play on warmer days.

There is a small little park area that my kids were able to enjoy during the warmer days.

The lots themselves are all the same size, except the pull through lot. There is enough space between neighbors to have a small yard with the fire pit. There is a nice picnic table on each site.

We had a nice view of the water to wake up to. The docks were accessible. The beach was accessible.

We had family come and stay in one of the glampers, and it was clean and maintained. We really enjoyed visiting them there.

We talked to a lot of other campers, and they ranged from weekly to long-term stays. So we were able to get more information about that, too.

They have free wifi, but we didn't use it much since we have our own.

    Definitely recommend staying here!

    Four Corners Resort and Marina

    Lakefront camping at its best!

Four Corners RV resort is a fantastic find just 21 miles South of Nashville. We paid a weekly rate of $879 including taxes and fees for a back in waterfront site. We have fantastic water views from both sides of the coach. The pads are all concrete, wide sites, include a fire ring and picnic table. They have several fishing and boating docks. They have a dog park and a swimming beach with dog bath upon exiting the beach. They also have a nice adult pool and a large kiddie pool. They have a lot of Canadian Geese which are fun to watch but leave their droppings everywhere. The campground is very dog friendly with a lot of dog litter bags and trash cans throughout the campground. This campground is a great staging place for visiting numerous sites in Nashville. We like this campground and really have enjoyed the water views, we recommend this campground and will be back.

    Nashville I-24 Campground

    Great location, easy access!

This park is an older KOA that is now a private campground. There are many long term residents but also a lot of RVers stopping through. This is a true RV Park with full services, propane, a pool, nice dog walking area, and long pull throughs. The park is kept very clean and has great landscaping.

While normally we prefer to be in the country away from the cities, we were here for work and we were very impressed by the care they take for this park. The staff was all very helpful and spent a lot of time making sure campers have a great experience. We will definitely return!

Cellular signals were great for AT&T and TMobile.

There is a busy road outside of the park, but that also means great restaurants and quick drives to things we wanted to go do!

    Cedar Creek (TN)

    Beautiful and well maintained

RV pads are in great shape. All of them are level and come with a fire pit, nice picnic table, and an extra wooden table for tabletop grills or whatever else you want to use them for. Bathrooms are good enough. It looks like most or all sites have a view of the water. The shoreline is clean and the grass is mowed everywhere.

The listing here says there are sewer hookups. I don’t see them at any of the sites, so I’m assuming there is a dump station. We only stayed one night passing through, so we didn’t mess with any of that. I also saw something that only listed 50 amp hookup. My spot also has a 30 amp hookup in case you need that and don’t have the dog bone.

Barren River Lake State Resort Park Campground

    Okay Campground

    Full Time travelers.

Our stay here was October 20-27/2021 in site 22A.

We didn't know this before arriving, but the weekend we were there, it was one of their biggest weekends of the year with Halloween festivities.  We joined in with the pumpkin carving and costume contests. They also had a contest for decorations on campers.  All winners received an award sheet in a plastic frame.

This campground is fairly decent, with great views of the river/lake at some sites.  Only one section has full hookups, sites 1-9.

Our site was mostly level, however, a lot of the sites (excluding full hookup sites) were very unlevel.  The pull through sites are hills.  So, be prepared for that.

The grounds were okay.  Lots of trash from the weekend before us was still lying around.  The bathhouse closest to our site was decent.  One big issue I found with the restrooms was on the day most people left that weekend (on Sunday).  I went in to the restroom and the smell made me gag.  I had to leave and come back later to even use the facility.  The reason for the smell...the dump station is directly behind the bathhouse.  With everyone dumping at the same time, the odors flooded the restrooms.  It was horrid.

The firepits in our area were awkwardly situated, the one for our site was up on the hill under a tree and on the site beside us, the firepit was right next to our site under a tree.  A fire hazard being under trees and awkward for guests beside us to have to be all but on our site to use theirs.

The staff were friendly and kind.  Timothy is one of the staff that works around the grounds, he's a very hard worker and always polite anytime we interacted with him.  He was even very helpful to the other staff.  I want to recognize him for his hard work and dedication to his job.

Overall this was an okay stay, but I would steer away from this campground if you aren't particularly skilled at leveling your rig and you can't get one of the more level sites.  The most level sites are 1-23.

Guide to Granville

RV campgrounds near Granville, Tennessee offer diverse camping experiences with elevation variations from 500 to 1,000 feet above sea level. The region experiences four distinct seasons with summer temperatures reaching 90°F and winter lows near freezing. Fall camping tends to be most popular due to moderate temperatures and colorful foliage displays across the Cumberland Plateau and surrounding areas.

What to do

Water recreation at Center Hill Lake: Safe Harbor RV Resort provides excellent lake access. "We enjoyed our stay and took full advantage of the lake. We paddle boarded, swam, and kayaked," reports Raul M., who appreciated the variety of water activities available within walking distance of campsites.

Fishing opportunities: Many campgrounds offer fishing access to regional lakes and rivers. At Owl Hollow Retreat RV Park, a camper noted, "Several places to put our kayaks in the water near here," making it convenient for anglers seeking bass, crappie, and catfish common to Tennessee waterways.

Hiking nearby trails: The Cumberland Plateau region provides numerous hiking options. "This is a great location also has outstanding amenities and easy access to the I-40," mentions one reviewer at Paradise on the Mountain RV Park, highlighting how campers can combine outdoor recreation with convenient access to area trails.

What campers like

Clean facilities: Four Corners RV Resort maintains exceptional standards. "The swimming pool and laundry facility were clean... This is the cleanest bathhouse I've ever seen," wrote Sara E., emphasizing the resort's commitment to cleanliness throughout all facilities.

Spacious sites: Many campers appreciate room to spread out. "Sites are concrete, level and roomy with full hookups (great water pressure!), new picnic tables and fire rings," noted Susan at Four Corners RV Resort, describing the comfortable setup for recreational vehicles.

Lakefront views: McDermit RV Park offers scenic water vistas. "The sites are large and the one I had offered privacy. Very pretty and close to Dale Hollow Lake," shares Beth K., highlighting the natural beauty that makes camping in this region special.

What you should know

Water quality varies: Some campgrounds experience water issues. At Maple Hill RV Park & Cabins, one reviewer reported, "We didn't notice this the first day, but I started seeing brownish water in our toilet... When we unhooked and sprayed out our filter, it was filled with filthy gunk." Consider bringing water filters when camping in the area.

Cell service limitations: Connectivity can be challenging at certain rv campgrounds in Granville, Tennessee. "We had AT&T and got 1 bar," reported one camper, suggesting visitors download maps and information before arrival.

Seasonal considerations: Fall attracts the most visitors to regional campgrounds. "We are in our way to North Carolina from Mississippi. My husband made this reservation over the phone with a really trusting kind person. They double checked the availability because they were almost totally full," shared Laura D. at Shady Acres RV Park, noting how quickly sites fill during peak periods.

Tips for camping with families

Playground access: Some campgrounds have dedicated children's areas. "There is an adorable playground for the kids. Rumor says there is possibly a splash pad coming soon," mentioned Jessica D. at Paradise on the Mountain RV Park, noting facilities specifically designed for younger visitors.

Safety features: Look for campgrounds with security measures. "There is a gated entrance, which I like," shared one camper, emphasizing the importance of secure facilities when traveling with children.

Swimming options: Several campgrounds offer beach or pool access. "From the second we pulled in we had nothing but great vibes. The amenities were top notch and tons to do with kids," reports Dan W. at Safe Harbor RV Resort, highlighting family-friendly water recreation opportunities.

Tips from RVers

Site leveling challenges: Be prepared for uneven terrain. "The sites in the front are far more level than the ones in the back where the green space is located," notes one RVer at Maple Hill RV Campground, suggesting campers bring leveling blocks.

Hookup specifications: Most RV parks in the Granville area offer full hookups. "This is a new RV park. It has nice amenities and the owners live on site which is good," shares a visitor to McDermit RV Park, noting the convenience of complete utility connections.

Length restrictions: Check site dimensions before booking. "Be very cautious of the site lengths. Some are extremely short and I'd say the measurements are nearly exact," warned Beth H., explaining that some sites leave little margin for error when parking larger RVs.
