      Three C Rock Campground

      Mediocre campsite amazing views

This will be a go to campground from now on for my friends and I. The campsite it’s self wasn’t very special and was right off the road so it was often noisy. However the river was a absolute gem! This spot was so isolated and empty from other people. We can’t wait to come back once the temperature rises to be able to swim! The river has many places to swim and even go on a rope swing. The other perk was it was free and only 20 mins from Canyonville where we found a great little dinner for lunch on our way home. Keep this place a secret! Protect it!

      Southern Oregon RV Park

      Park with all the bells

We stay here often on our migration from PNW to the Desert for winter. It is a extremely well run park, with immaculate bathrooms and well groomed sites. Sites have concrete pad, fire pit and table with FHU. An easy off of Highway 5 and close to Costco and many restaurants. Small lake/pond with walking trail around and extra large Dog Park.

Valley of the Rogue State Park Campground

      Great Thru Campsite

Would I describe this place as the pinnacle of what Oregon has to offer? Probably not, but for us it was perfect since we only had 5 days to travel the whole Pacific Coast from San Diego to Seattle. This was close to the freeway, so yeah definitely noise but everyone we met was really nice. Also not to far from here is a dog park so your furry half can stretch their legs in compliance with leash laws. First place we’ve stayed in Oregon and we really love it.

Seven Feathers RV Resort features concrete pads with grassy areas between sites, while nearby Charles V. Stanton Park offers riverside camping with spaces for both tents and RVs. At Seven Feathers, campers can access an indoor pool and hot tub while their pets rest at campsites. The South Umpqua River at Charles V. Stanton Park provides both recreation and background noise that masks interstate traffic for those camping with pets, though some find the highway sounds noticeable.

    What to do

River access for fishing: Wolf Creek Park campground offers creek access for fishing just steps from campsites. "The fish were jumping and the water clear. Overall nice, just wish people would respect public lands more and not trash these areas so much," notes a camper at Burma Pond BLM.

Disc golf course: Wolf Creek Park has disc golf facilities for campers looking for recreation. "There is a disc golf but only saw a few cages," mentions one reviewer who appreciated the additional amenity despite its limited scope.

Swimming opportunities: Chief Miwaleta campground offers swimming in the reservoir during warmer months. A camper reports, "We stayed in the cabins on the lake and in the tent sites (separate occasions) both were very nice! There is plenty of fun to be had here with swimming and fishing and boating!"

    What campers like

Quiet locations away from crowds: Burma Pond BLM provides a secluded camping experience despite being accessible from I-5. "I camped one night right off the water. Quiet and clean. I slept great," shares a satisfied visitor who appreciated the solitude.

Clean facilities: Millsite RV Park maintains well-kept bathrooms and common areas. One reviewer commented, "Clean toilets; open 730am-900pm during summer, and 8am-8pm other times. The RV faces a wonderful park."

Helpful campground hosts: Sunny Valley Campground staff receive consistent praise for their service. "The owners are just the coolest, very easy-going, so friendly, and they keep up on the place real nice," reports one camper who wished there were more locations run by the same team.

    What you should know

Highway noise considerations: Charles V. Stanton County Park sits close to I-5, creating a persistent background sound. "Right off of Interstate 5 near the Seven Feathers Casino is this nice little campground, but you have to put up with some road noise," explains a reviewer who recommends it primarily for overnight stays.

Seasonal water levels: Chief Miwaleta RV Park's reservoir experiences fluctuating water levels. One camper noted, "Small campground on a reservoir that was quite low. Sites are close together but there weren't many people so no big deal."

Generator restrictions: For those dry camping at Seven Feathers Casino, be aware of quiet hours. "Generators are prohibited 10pm-7am, which helps keep the noise down," explains a visitor appreciating the peaceful environment despite the parking lot setting.

    Tips for camping with families

Swimming options: Sunny Valley Campground provides a swimming pool for family recreation. "It's actually beautiful and has a lot of things for families to do (pool, volleyball net, playground)," shares a reviewer who found the amenities impressive even during a brief stay.

Pet-friendly areas: Rising River RV Resort accommodates families traveling with pets. "Beautiful, quiet and family friendly RV park right on the S. Umpqua River, just minutes from Wildlife Safari! Would absolutely recommend one of the river sites!" notes a reviewer who appreciated the park's safety features including secured gates.

Level sites: Seven Feathers RV Resort provides properly graded parking areas. "The sites are paved and level," confirms a reviewer who found the campground exceptionally clean and well-maintained.

Accessibility between stops: On The River Golf & RV Resort serves as a convenient stopover. "Needed a place to sleep for the night. My slot was right on river facing the setting sun. Great spot to decompress after being in the truck for 8 hours," explains an RVer who appreciated the location's restorative qualities.

Free overnight options: For self-contained RVs seeking economical stays, Seven Feathers offers alternatives. "If you're just looking for a nice place to stay, that's a lot of money for a spot off I-5 in the middle of Oregon.
