Twin Bridges area of Grand Lake State Park features multiple pet-friendly campgrounds including Echo Hollow, Gopher Valley, Woody Trail, and Eagle Bluff, all welcoming campers with dogs. Each campground provides water and electric hookups, picnic tables, and trash service, with sites accommodating both tent and RV camping. Woody Trail Campground extends pet allowances to its cabin accommodations as well. Whispering Woods RV Park near Wyandotte offers an alternative with easy access to the nearby casino and clean shower facilities. Lee's Grand Lake Resort rounds out the pet-friendly options with tent sites, RV spaces, and cabins that accept dogs. Campground layouts vary considerably with some sites positioned quite close together while others provide more separation and privacy. Most camping areas have metal fire rings and BBQ grills available for cooking.
Twin Bridges campgrounds sit between the Neosho and Spring rivers with boat access to Grand Lake, making it ideal for campers with water-loving dogs. While the parks allow pets throughout, sites closest to Highway 137 experience traffic noise that may disturb sensitive animals. The campgrounds feature playgrounds, horseshoe pits, and in some cases basketball hoops for human recreation. Restroom facilities vary in quality across the different camping areas—some lack privacy with toilet stalls missing doors. Woody Trail provides covered picnic tables at its electric tent sites, offering shade protection for pets during hot days. Anglers Paradise campground provides boat launch access for those fishing with dogs, though the primitive tent sites are limited to just three spots. Seasonal considerations include heavy flies following rain periods, particularly noticeable in early May.
"Didn't check out the boat launch area which was across the highway from the main park and office."

We were just passing through and stayed for a night. We had sewer, water, and electric hookup. A nice dog park, and even found some 4 leaf clovers!
This is a amazing place! Firewood provided along with outdoor furniture and gas grill! You don’t need to bring a thing! They have 2 restaurants on site that are full service! Enclosed dog park and nice
We stayed here twice our first night and last night of our two week road trip. The place is well maintained and peaceful. Decorated like an old western town. Laundry facilities are available. The dog park was the best our whole road trip. We have three dogs that range from 4.5 lbs to 45 lbs. they had room to play and they were safe. The staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.
Super helpful staff for late check-ins. It is a good RV campsite when you are on the move and need a place to stay near the the high way (a bit noisy with traffic) and traveling with a pet. They have a place for dogs to play.
We overnighted here on the way to Hot Springs, AR. Convenient to Interstate 49, but virtually no traffic noise and none while inside the van. We arrived after the office had closed - there was a prominent note on the door as to which site to use. Electrical hookup was fine - we did not use water or cable. There were about a dozen other campers - most appeared to be long termers. The CG was VERY quiet - very peaceful. They have an off-leash dog park area which our dogs loved and used it 3-4 times the nite we were there. The bathrooms were toasty warm and VERY clean. Lavatory hot water got warm quickly, plenty of soap and towels. The office has various items for sale, from snacks to RV gear. Would not hesitate to stay again - in fact, may do so next week on our return trip.
Nice campground close to Joplin, MO. Friendly host, clean campsites, pet friendly.
I go here with my friends every summer we hike almost all the trails , it’s gorgeous last time I went there (summer of 23) we saw a wild river otter swimming there is so much wildlife out there and it’s just gorgeous absolutely stunning and worth visiting, family friends and dog / pet friendly if you want to take your dogs on a hike this is the place , has stairs and is not very handicapped accessible if you want to go to the bottom of the falls but it is completely accessible for a wheelchair if you just want to view the falls from the top and there are multiple handicapped accessible paved paths !
This is a great, friendly campground, off the highway about a mile, so no highway noise. Very pet friendly. Long wide sites that have grass, patios and picnic tables. Open year round!
Twin Bridges campgrounds sit at the junction of the Neosho and Spring rivers in northeastern Oklahoma, offering water access from several different camping areas. The elevation averages around 750 feet, with moderate tree coverage providing shade at most sites. Summer temperatures typically reach the high 90s with high humidity, while spring camping can experience rapid weather changes.
Fishing access points: Twin Bridges Angler's Paradise Campground provides a large boat launch giving quick access to Grand Lake, Spring River, or the Neosho River. "This campground sits between the Neosho and Spring rivers. It appears that this will be a busy site due to the very large boat launch at the campground," notes reviewer Dexter I.
Casino entertainment: Stay at Whispering Woods RV Park for easy casino access during your pet-friendly camping trip near Wyandotte. "Easy to get in and out. Free shuttle to the casino if desired. Nice bathhouse and showers. Beautiful view," explains CARRIE in her review.
Family recreation: Eagle Bluff Campground offers structured play areas for children. "Campground has a new playground for the kids. Rest room has showers as well. Horseshoe pits and a basketball hoop are also available," according to Dexter I., who rated the campground 5 stars.
Riverside sites: Woody Trail Campground provides camping with water views. "This is a nice campground and most of the sites are huge. And some of them have a nice view of the river. They have full hookups and pretty good signal," notes reviewer Jo E.
Covered picnic areas: Eagle Bluff's tent sites include sheltered eating areas. "The nice part of this campground is the undeveloped camping area for those tent campers, the sites while close together have Shelters over most of the sites picnic tables as well as BBQ grills," explains Dexter I.
Affordability: Several campgrounds offer budget-friendly options. The nearby Downstream RV Park in Joplin features special rate options. "Passport America stop, 17.50 per night. Highway noise but didn't bother us at all," shares Barbara S.
Traffic noise levels: Highway proximity affects some camping areas. "It is a bit noisy due to Main highway is not that far away but not overwhelming," notes Martin&Annette T. about Downstream RV Park. Similarly, Angler's Paradise campground "is also just off of U.S. Highway 60 so expect some road noise."
Restroom conditions: Eagle Bluff facilities lack privacy. "The toilet house had 2 stalls with no doors or curtains in front of the toilets," according to Mandi R., who camped there in May.
Seasonal insect issues: After rain periods, flies become problematic. "With the recent rains that just came through, the flies were really bad. I didn't cook anything just so I didn't attract more flies," reports Mandi R.
Site selection: At Gopher Valley Campground, choose lower-numbered sites for less traffic noise. "The site backs up to the woods but our picnic table side faces the road. The road gets traffic and some noise but it's not too bad. The lower numbered sites (1.2.3) are better if that bothers you," advises Inez W.
Swimming alternatives: Consider nearby water access points if campground swimming areas disappoint. "We did however find a nice little spot called Sycamore Creek on #10 and it is the clearest water you could imagine! Swimming was amazing there and it was only about 7 minutes away!" shares Melissa T. from her Gopher Valley experience.
Tent setup challenges: Prepare for rocky ground conditions. "We had a hard time securing the tent because the ground was so rocky," notes Melissa T. about Gopher Valley Campground.
Power access planning: Bring extension cords for tent sites with electricity. "The power supply was next to the road and not next to where you would put your tent so I am very happy that we had brought extra extension cords," advises Melissa T. from her Gopher Valley camping experience.
Pet exercise areas: Grand Lake O' the Cherokees RV Resort offers ample space for dogs. "Stayed here for about 9 days and really liked its location to the water. Nice large area to walk around with the dogs which was a treat," notes Leisha, making it an excellent choice for pet-friendly camping near Wyandotte.
Check-in procedures: At Whispering Woods, complete registration at the hotel. "Pick a spot and sign in at the hotel registration counter. Code for the bath facilities will be provided at that time," explains Luckybreak R.
