Convenient to Cuyahoga NP

Gave it an extra star for proximity to Cuyahoga Valley NP, bargain price for a site with electric hookups, quiet setting and helpful hosts. No road noise, other campers very considerate. Sites are grass or overgrown gravel. Semi-level. Site #1 was very difficult to level a 24 ft trailer and full…

BIG State Park

Just got back from a 2 night mid week break. Huge campground. Friendly staff. Kids everywhere so be careful and drive slow. Not very buggy considering all the water nearby.

Lots to see and do!

Unfortunately it rained most of our stay here, so we didn’t get to explore as much as we wanted. It’s an awesome campground with lots of amenities! There is a disc golf course and beach area on the campground. Near it are a water park, lovely farmers market (highly recommend) and a cute little ice…

  • our campsite was not overly crowded
  • sun setting over the beach area
  • cedar point is near by

Family Fun

This place is AMAZING for families with kids! Tons of planned activities (about every hour) for everyone to enjoy. Huge pool, gem mine, mini golf, and homemade ice cream! *My 4 star rating is because after a huge downpour of rain for a day, our beautiful premium site flooded.

Affordable Stay Near Cedar Point

This campground is within a 15 minute drive to Cedar Point and the price point is much more affordable then the campground at Cedar Point. It was not overbooked which was nice because the lots are tiny. They had a pool which kids seemed to love.

  • Bathrooms were ok. Functioning but outdated

Comfortable spot, friendly host

We camped here after going to Cedar Point rollercoaster riding for the evening. We came in at about 11pm and it was easy to find our site and hook up to power. The dump took forever because there were tons of people and one malfunctioning dump and one malfunctioning fresh water. But it was the July…

Absolutely Stunning!

If you have the chance to stay on a lake front site, do it here! My family has been going to Kelleys Island for over 150yrs, and we live it to this day. The sites are the perfect size, with enough parking either at your site or the extended parking lot by the Ranger station. Kids get the most out…

RV park, not Campground

We stayed for 10 days in September, in a site that was surrounded by a moat and then the pond beyond that. You talk about mosquito haven!! We were so bombarded by mosquitoes that we went to Wal-Mart for 100% deet bug spray and sprayed our clothes, tucked our pants into our socks, wore gloves over…

All hype

Summed up in bullet points. We are experienced campers, so perhaps our standards are higher.

  • Was not greeted, had to find where to check in
  • Guide to spot did not show, after 20 minutes tried to find own spot, we were told PT-X, but our site was labeled PPT-X, could not reach a person to…

Nice little spot

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and stayed 2 nights. We were a little worried about getting in on a June weekend, but surprisingly, it did not fill up. $15/night for a tent site with showers and it was a great site along the woods with a nice flat area and could still see the lake.

Best Hostess

As the others have said, this is a true hidden gem. There are very few sites that are not seasonal, but we were able to call an hour before arrival to get a site that night. There is so much here to keep you happy. Not a bad view to be had, easy access to the lake, and burgers and dogs at the…

Park needs to be cleaned and monitored

Luckily we only stayed two nights but to come back and have a camper parked sideways next to our camper instead of being pulled through was a shock. People leave their garbage wherever, the showers are mediocre at best. The roads are tight. 2 pools but only one functional and dirty. Will not be…
