Best RV Parks & Resorts near Fletcher, OH

Fletcher, Ohio provides several RV parks with varying site configurations and amenity levels. Poor Farmer's Campground features electric hookups and water connections on spacious grassy sites, while Kiser Lake State Park Campground offers electric sites with lake views on paved surfaces. Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort in South Charleston maintains 210 RV sites with full hookups including 50-amp service, operating year-round with pull-through access for larger vehicles. Dayton KOA Holiday in Brookville provides 223 sites with 30/50-amp connections on a seasonal basis from April through November. "The campsites are shaded and pretty level. I am using a pull through and it is long enough for my RV and 24' trailer. There is a very nice cement slab with a nice fire pit and picnic table."

Seasonal availability varies significantly among the area's RV parks. Thousand Trails Wilmington operates from mid-April through October, while others like Natural Springs Resort remain open year-round. Most parks accommodate pets, though specific restrictions may apply. Dump stations and sewer hookups are inconsistently available—Stillwater Beach Campground and Poor Farmer's provide sanitary dump facilities, but Love's RV Hookup locations typically offer electric and water only with limited amenities. Full hookup RV sites command premium rates, especially during summer months. A visitor commented, "We originally were a little nervous but learned looks can be deceiving. The campground is mainly seasonal campers and all seemed very welcoming and nice... The site we were at had a very large spacious area."

    Indian Lake State Park Campground

    FHUs Sites in a field

    PROS

Able to reserve 144 days prior to arriving

Very nice campground but the design leaves a lot to be desired

Friendly camp hosts who were busy picking up trash in common areas and cleaning sites Moveable picnic table

Metal fire ring with cooking grate

Site D45 level asphalt parking pad surrounded by grass

Great view of lake from D loop; some had water access at rear of site

Quiet except for campground party animals who kept it going into the wee hours of the morning

Coin-operated laundromats in non FHU loops $1.50 wash and $1 dry

Free WIFI available and able to connect at campsite

Dump Stations at Park exit have complimentary hoses

Camp store sells hard dipped ice cream

14 miles from the Airstream Service Center in Jackson Center

    CONS

    No senior discount

$6.50 reservation fee for self made on-line reservation

Basically the FHU loops are out in a field…no privacy from neighbors and no shade what so ever

Grass around sites desperately needed mowed, if you could get thru the large mud puddles

FHU loop D has narrow roads and require driving on grass to back in trailer and some campers in other sites had to move their vehicles

Short length of campsite required creative parking of tow vehicle

Damn Canadian Geese poop every...what a mess!

Site number on electric utility box

FHU sewer connection at the back of the campsite so bring the looooong stinky slinky FHU loop D had tiny toilet building, but no showers; showers were in non-FHU loops

No entry gate personnel on a Friday afternoon to accomplish check-in. Went to park office next morning and was informed no check in required prior to Memorial Day. Never saw a Park ranger driving thru campground

    Kiser Lake State Park Campground

    Quiet Park

This park is know for the lake that is kayak and canoe friendly since it doesn’t allow any kind of boat with a motor. It also features a beach , 2 playgrounds and several hiking trails. Just be careful if you hike with dogs since some trails intersect with a nature preserve which doesn’t allow pets.

The campground itself has 20 electric sites , 56 primitive sites and 4 camper cabins. All the electric sites are pull through and all sites have a fire pit but only the electric sites come with picnic tables.

Due to off season and COVID the camp store is closed and there is no camper host or park office staff around.

We did notice lots of downed trees on the poorly marked hiking trails. Some trails just started but no maps were around and no trails were blazed. It was hard to tell where we were headed or how long a trail was. I tried using the new Detour app and it wasn’t very accurate for this park.

We did have good Verizon cell coverage.

    Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort

    Great Park

We decided to stay here last minute. Read the reviews and went for it. 45’ Prevost w/toad. Pull through we were assigned had very low hanging tree limbs. I called the office and asked if we could use space 41 instead. No problem! Everything is clean, well cared for, and really pretty. We did not use the showers, laundry, or pool. Cost was EXCELLENT for a pull through, full hookups, and 50 amp service. Yes, there are people staying full time, but each space is well taken care of with pride it seems.

    Buck Creek State Park Campground

    Great quiet site

A well manicured campground just outside Dayton, easy to get to, back in pavement site with 30A electric, picnic table and fire pit. Plenty of potable water spigots around, just not at the site. Dump station near the entrance of the campground. Walking trails along the lake well cared for. Plenty of activity with playground and an outdoor theater. Plenty of water-front pebble beach for enjoyment in the summer. Close to the campground is the marina with a restaurant , but won’t open til Memorial Day.

Addendum: July 2021 - was speaking with a number of people who have been here and they suggest not going during the summer. There is a large influx of rowdy locals who don't quite respect the peace and quiet many of us like.

    Archway Campground

    Quaint Stop Over

Owner is a kind old man. Escorted us to our site and helped us pull in. 30 and 50 amp hook ups available. No sewer hookups but dump station onsite. Mostly pull through sites with lots of room between campers. Great location, right off I-70. Lowes, Walmart, Menards, and Dollar General very close by. Almost every restaurant or food type that you can think of close by. Fishing pond onsite that also allows swimming. Restrooms/showers very basic and dated. 5 stars for what it is. Not fancy, 5 stars for what it is. Family owned, no frills campground. Relaxing mom and pop campground with owners that go the extra mile to accommodate guests.

    Pastime Campground

    Quiet and Convenient

There are 38 grass sites that are a bit snug, but mostly pleasant. New in June 2019 are 18 gravel padded sites, with lots of space. All sites are W/E. All the new gravel sites and half the grass ones have 50/30/20A electric, the rest are 30/20A. The park has a dump station. Two of the gravel sites have sewer hookup.
All sites are clean, with tables and fire rings. There is a very nice and clean restroom/shower facility. Walking path and playground are adjacent to the campground. There is a nice swimming pool at the south end of the village park. Campers get a discounted admission. Most all sites have lots of shade.

    Dayton KOA Holiday

    Very clean and shady

The campsites are shaded and pretty level. I am using a pull through and it is long enough for my RV and 24’ trailer. There is a very nice cement slab with a nice fire pit and picnic table.
