Great spot for hiking, biking, canoeing and riding your horse. Friendly staff and clean sites. No water or sewer hookups.
About 8 miles from i94 (3-4 miles of gravel road) this is nice clean camping area close to the river. We have a eurovan and parked in the parking lot - no specific camping spots were marked. It was raining and thundering so we didn’t have much of a chance to explore but it looked beautiful and well…
Walk along the road at night for a nice spooky stroll. Obviously built for boating. Eldest daughter says it was “cute”.
Quiet little campground on the edge of a quaint little town. Walking distance to a laundromat, bakery and diner. Showers, facilities and sewer dump available. Not amazing but definitely meets the needs of a place to lay your head at night.
We arrived around midnight and we decided to camp in our cars in the parking lots since it was so dark, some of the sites were hard to see. It was super secluded. The view was beautiful in the morning and everything was clean. We loved it!
This a beautiful, small, and family friendly campgrounds. Most of the campsites have a beautiful view of the lake. The access roads are asphalt. Security comes around regularly. We had a wonderful experience.
Do note that cel and wifi access is bad at best. There is a store close by that has…

This rec area/campground is honestly a hidden gem (not trying to be cliché!) The area is very scenic and well kept, with a stream running throughout that feeds into a multi-use lake, unique and expansive campsites, groomed trails, multiple amenities and the lovely solitude, peace, and escape of the…

This park had a surprising amount of space and amenities for a county park. I *think* there were around 40 campsites. Don't miss the back, more private section. We camped overnight here while en-route to Theodore Roosevelt N.P. from Minneapolis airport. It is on the Shyanne River National…

Love all of the large, mature trees and amount of wooded areas throughout. The campsites are all relatively private with a secluded feeling, some more than others of course. There is a good amount of brush and trees separating sites. We enjoy that you have access to sites that are right along the…

Just a good overnight stop
Passing through ND in late October and needed a place to stay and this campground worked out well. The folks were accommodating. They don’t take credit cards though. The campground was clean and RV sites graveled and level. The water was turned off due to the recent freezing weather. The associated…
This is a remote site along the North Country Trail. It's well maintained, has personalized benches around a custom fire pit. There's a pit toilet hiding in the woods next to it.
