Facilities vary considerably between campgrounds, with some offering only basic amenities while others provide showers, flush toilets, and potable water. Johnson's Campground & RV Park

      Everything you need

We retreated here after getting evacuated from Many Glacier Campground due to flooding. We are off grid so a tent site is what we booked. $56 is a little pricey but there are showers, laundry and flush toilets so that’s a perk. Tent sites are nice and spread out, RV sites look a little tighter. Beautiful views from the top of the hill. Staff has been very friendly and accommodating.

Apgar Group Sites — Glacier National Park

      Not dispersed

Great campsite with a lot of pull through sites which make it convenient for larger rigs. Very forested so solar will be hard. No plug ins. There is water and bathrooms which are well kept. This is a really nice place if you like the tucked in the woods feel.

      Blankenship Bridge - Dispersed Camping

      Closed due to high water

Came all the way over here and access to the river is closed to rigs because of high water as of late June. It is a nice spot though !

      Johnson's Campground & RV Park

      Worth inconveniences for the location

The location is unmatched. We could see the St. Mary’s entrance station from our RV site. Many Glacier was an easy 20 min drive in the opposite direction. To be this close to the park while enjoying pull-thru and FHU, made it worthwhile for us.

That said, the other reviews are accurate. No TMobile service, so I added Starlink, and it didn’t help. During the day, this was no problem, as we were at Glacier! However, I needed to work after the kids went to bed, and was unable to. WiFi, though advertised, is only available on the front steps of the office and still was extremely weak. I placed an Amazon order a few days prior to arrival and it was delivered on time, so that was nice.

Our biggest issue was the dump station. It is not designed well - rebar crossing inside the pipe - which created a clog that we didn’t know about until it built up pressure and blew our hose off the RV. What a disaster!

Still we’d stay again, because the location is fantastic.

      Lid Creek Campground

Host could not manage the guests

Great place and fantastic mood during the day , peace , deers as it should be. But on evening , generators on till 9pm , mini bikes and golf cart roaming around. Host should gain some authority skills…

Many Glacier Campground — Glacier National Park

Loved CG Layout Hate Federal Oversight

Stayed 3nts at spot #95. Scoped out a number of other spots that were way better. Liked the generator free zone. This camp spot did have a variety of flaws: broken glass littered the ground, table was terribly maintained and had damage. No grill grate on the fire pit. The fed govt has done a garbage job of maintaining this for the season. Bathrooms stunk and very outdated. Where does the money go? Why aren’t upgrades and maintenance a line item at one of the top national parks in the country! And another disgusting problem is folks who reserve spots and never show up, saw numerous spots with a reservation tag and completely empty. There has to be a better way to prevent this.

St Mary Campground - Glacier National Park — Glacier National Park

National Park campground - no frills

This is a national park campground. No electricity, water or sewer hook ups. There is a dump station. But you are in Glacier National Park! No cell service, no internet. There are flush toilets and hot showers during summer months. This is the largest campground on the east side, with many ranger led projects through the season.
