CAMPER SUMMARY PRESENTED BYFord

Camping opportunities in the Enterprise, Mississippi area range from developed campgrounds to waterfront sites along nearby lakes and rivers. Clarkco State Park Campground in Quitman provides lakeside tent, RV, and cabin camping with full hookups and modern facilities. Closer to Enterprise, Dunn's Falls Water Park offers tent, RV, cabin, and glamping options along a scenic waterfall. These established campgrounds typically feature picnic tables, fire rings, and basic utilities, though amenities vary significantly between locations.

The camping season generally runs year-round at most established campgrounds near Enterprise, with many offering reservable sites. Several parks implement a gate system for security, especially at night. Both Archusa Creek Waterpark and Turkey Creek Water Park accommodate multiple camping styles, including cabin rentals for those seeking more comfort. Summer brings higher temperatures and humidity, making waterfront sites particularly desirable. A visitor commented about Dunn's Falls: "Clean area. Close to a highway but few cars traveling at night. The historical structures are neat, as is the waterfall. The whole park can be explored in less than an hour."

Waterfront access represents a key attraction at most camping areas near Enterprise. Clarkco State Park features a 65-acre lake popular for fishing and kayaking, with some sites positioned directly on the waterfront. Many campgrounds include designated swimming areas, boat ramps, and hiking trails as additional amenities. The terrain throughout the region is generally wooded with moderate elevation changes. Campers should note that site layouts vary considerably, with some campgrounds featuring well-defined, level pads while others have more primitive arrangements. A recent review noted that at Dunn's Falls, "Camping area is about five tables and grills scattered on edge of property. No real sites (no tent pads, no fire rings)." Most campgrounds maintain clean facilities with regularly serviced bathhouses and restrooms, though primitive sites may have limited amenities.

    Sleepy Hollow RV Park

    Cute, comfy and clean!

Great little campground. Bathroom/showers that are combined in one room - a shower, toilet and sink. Super clean, smell good and are very new. Laundry room is great and clean. Duck pond, playground and dog run. Clean salt water pool. Highway noise and trains are a bit loud but nothing unbearable. Maybe stay at other end of campground.

Caney Creek on Forest Road 503

Spot is great but too much garbage

Great spot at the end of the road from this marker. Didn’t stay due to all the garbage. Just wasn’t feeling the vibe. Others may not care because the center turnaround parking area was fairly clean. It was all the garbage in the bushes that turned me away.

    Meridian East-Toomsuba KOA

Had a great time staying at this KOA.

Nice refreshing pool and lots of things to do while taking it easy. Extremely clean camp ground, and the restrooms and showers are spotless. I gave this camp ground 5 stars, the only thing I would change is I wish you had more space in between camp sites. Awesome place, we will be back.

    Meridian East-Toomsuba KOA

    Used dump station only

We were just passing thru but used their dump station. Super convenient and clean. They only asked for a donation. Very kind couple!

    Lenoir Landing

Worked for the night - quiet but neglected

We needed a spot that was somewhat remote for the dogs and this worked. Several pull off spots for camping from the entrance to the boat ramp. No fees. Some spots graveled and maintained with views of the river. Locals are nice and helpful. There are garbages and no one cares if you make a fire - very few campers on a Sat night - downsides - composting toilets gross, no functional water running and the river is gross, lots of trash - boat traffic, lots of bugs (specifically despite wearing long pants / using repelant we both got 100’s of chiggar bites) - 1 bar reception

    Forest Service Road 526

    Trespassing

Its not accessible, legally. There is a no trespassing sign that was put up half a mile down the service road. There’s a couple of signs that have already been torn out right next to it. We didn’t stay for that reason.
