Best Campgrounds near Robinsonville, MS

Robinsonville, Mississippi provides several established campgrounds along the Mississippi River and surrounding waterways. Hollywood Casino RV Park and Sam's Town Tunica offer year-round camping with full hookup sites for RVs, tent camping areas, and cabin accommodations. The region includes both casino-adjacent properties and more natural settings within a short drive, with most campgrounds featuring amenities like electric hookups, water access, and sanitary facilities. Campgrounds in this area primarily serve visitors to the casino district while also providing access to Mississippi River recreation.

Camping in the Robinsonville area remains available throughout the year with most facilities maintaining year-round operations. "The Mississippi River dominates the camping experience here, with beautiful sunrise and sunset views over the water and barges traveling up and down day and night," noted one visitor about nearby Tom Sawyer's RV Park. Road access to most campgrounds is well-maintained, though some reviews mention dusty conditions during dry weather. Cell service is generally reliable throughout the area, and most developed campgrounds offer full hookups for RVs including 50-amp electrical service. Reservations are recommended, particularly for weekend stays when casino visitors increase demand for camping accommodations.

The Mississippi River serves as the defining feature for many camping experiences in the region. Campsites with river views tend to receive the highest ratings, with visitors specifically mentioning the opportunity to watch barge traffic along the waterway. Several campgrounds feature spacious sites with concrete pads and picnic areas, though shade can be limited at some locations. A review of Tom Sawyer's RV Park mentioned "large green grass areas to walk along the river, benches to sit, and beautiful moon views across the water." While casino-adjacent campgrounds provide convenient access to gaming and entertainment, they may experience more traffic and noise compared to more secluded options in surrounding areas. Mixed-use campgrounds in the region typically accommodate both tent and RV camping, with some also offering cabin rentals for those seeking additional comfort.

    Village Creek State Park Campground

    Great family vacation campground

One of the largest campgrounds in the state. weekends fill up fast with local families, enjoying the campground with their kids and dogs. Lots of bike riding trails as well as trails for people that bring their horses for the horse camp section. Sites are fairly close together. Camp is well maintained and has a great visitors center with friendly staff.

    Wall Doxey State Park Campground

Pricey but ok for an overnight

Heavily wooded campground with large sites well spaced. Concrete pads for your camper rig but watch your step. Lots of erosion around the edges. Sites do have electric and water service. I thought prices were a little high. With registration fee and taxes my two nights stay was about $70.

Oak Grove (MS) — Sardis Lake

    Good place

Quiet campground with a lake you can fish and have a fishing boat. Pontoons are acceptable. Bathrooms are decent and the camps pot accommodated my 36ft 5th wheel.

    Village Creek State Park Campground

    Quiet and Relaxing

This place is very beautiful and DEEP into to woods. The sites are very spread out with privacy though and we loved that!

We arrived after hours and our site had a pamphlet with our name and some basic information for our stay.

In the morning, the spot was very beautiful and tucked away in the woods with visibility to the lake down the hill.

It rained briefly and our spot was down a slight hill so there was a bit of concern with puddling, but there was proper drainage and the site didn’t puddle as much as we would’ve thought! The site was very leveled!

We lost service about 5/10 minutes out from the park with Verizon so if there are things you need to search before do that!

When we left we stopped by the visitor center that had a pretty wide range of things to do with a gift store. The staff and rangers were very nice!

    We would visit again!

    Delta Ridge RV Park

    Perfect for a single overnight

Small, tight campground that has no amenities at all, but is priced accordingly. This campground has full hookups at every site, the sites are tight enough together that opposing slides wouldn’t fit, there are no bathrooms, laundry facilities, etc. It is conveniently located very close to I40 and is minutes from shopping and restaurants.

Added bonus……the WiFi is rock solid. I didn’t bother using my Starlink as I was able to stream from the campgrounds wifi.

    Village Creek State Park Campground

    Really nice, quiet CG

We have a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow and stayed in site 50 for 1 night in mid September. The CG is clean, well maintained. The CG roads are paved, as are the sites. The sites themselves all seemed pretty level. The CG was very quiet and peaceful and about half full while we were there. Our site, 50, was a pull-through, as were several, but most were back in. There is some shade depending on the site. The bathhouses are showing their age a bit.

AT&T coverage was basically nonexistent with 1 bar of 5GE service but 0 MB/s of throughput. We had a clear view to the N at the site, so Starlink was fine with speeds up to 13 MB/s.

    Village Creek State Park Campground

    Good rest for weary travelers!

Arrived after hours to Campsite area A (sites 1-41). Note: reservation app does was not allow same day reservations, so find "available" site and pay at kiosk at visitor center. Hard to see park at night but in the morning found clean restrooms and shower --a happy find. Park offers nice large sites for tent and RVs with power, water, picnic table & fire rings. Really nice campgrounds with golf and equestrian facilities near by.

    Mississippi River State Park Campground

    Beautiful and quiet

This small campground is beautiful and kept very clean. Sites are full hookup. The bath house is very clean. There are four private toilet/shower rooms. All handicapped accessible. My favorite sites are 12, 13, and 14. My least favorite were 9, 10, and 11, but they are pull through sites.
