Great campground for a weekend RV

We stayed over Memorial Day Weekend at site 183. It was spacious and very well kept, with a great view of the lake. Wry easy to back in and get set up, almost level and took very little adjustment to get our spot in order. Neighbors were friendly, kids found other kids to play with, and lots of…

Open land, surrounded by trees

Campsites are flat and grassy. They back up to each other so good for groups camping together. Has horse tie ups and great trails

Great place

Bathrooms are close to camp. Camp sites are close to eachother, but there is tons of camping to get away!

Come here for a day trip on the river

This was an interesting state park, I’m glad we came here for a day trip instead of booking anything for the nicer months. There is basically one trail that goes along the river between the two campgrounds, and that appears to be it.

Most people were there for ice fishing at this time of year,…

Beautiful state park!

We stayed here last summer and it’s a great place to explore the region near the Mississippi River. Lots of amazing views, interactive signs and information that was perfect for our 4 year old. Close to the river and the town which was beautiful also!

Good shade and privacy

We stayed here for one night in August 2020 en route to black hills. Nice site(number 80), good shade and privacy between sites.  Some mosquitos in evening.

Maiden Rock

The town of Maiden Rock is small with a couple bars and great bakery. Nice people! The campground is across the tracks from town, very close. Rates are great at 25.00 for electric hook ups. We where located right next to the tracks and it’s loud!!! The trains blow through here at speed with horns…

Nice campground

This was a nice campground with private sites. We were in site 70e and was very private and close the the showers. Lots of great hiking and forestville is very charming but tours were not running due to COVID. There was no AT&T cell coverage.

Horrible Customer service

Tried to stay here. Booked a site over the phone, got a reservation but was not told a confirmation number or even what site number we would have. Had to get off the line quickly as they made it seem like they were too busy to talk to me. Called back weeks later to confirm and got a site number,…

Great hidden gem

Out in the middle of bluff country. This nice campground plays to the active bodied person well. From golf to tubing to an indoor swimming pool and restaurant. This place has a lot to offer.

Hidden Gem

This is very convenient if you have Mayo Clinic appointments. The campground was nice with grassy sites along with electric and water hook ups, there was a dump station also. Portable toilets spaced around and a centralized bath house by the office. There are seasonal guests and everyone was…

Popular campground

Perrot has it all: hiking, biking, paddling and camping and that makes it a popular place in the summer. It was totally booked the weekend I stayed here. Site 23E was not the best due to the location of the electric pedestal which was more set up for tent camping than an RV, but made it work,…

Great, Clean Campground!

Friendly staff, clean restrooms, quiet campgrounds. There is a drop box if you arrive after hours. Will be returning!

Nice, quiet campground

Our site was very large, which was nice as it gave us more than enough room to set up our tent, leaving space between us and the neighboring sites.

For the families - there’s a couple small playgrounds on site, which is a good opportunity for the littles to burn some energy. There’s also a nice…
