Prairie Campground — Lake Shetek State Park

    Grassy drive-in camping spots

By myself in Prairie campground tonight. Grass and trees overhead make it cool, but can block satellite connectivity. Good nearby hiking trails. Fresh water tap and restroom. Each site has fire enclosure and picnic table.

Redwood Lodge — Camden State Park

    Beautiful campground

It is a beautiful campground with a creek running past it, and railroad tracks not too far away so you hear that two or three times a day but it's not bad. Campground has lots of trees 🎄 it is very quiet. If you have a larger motorhome like I do your jack stands are liable to sink into the ground aways I am going to have to dig out my leveling blocks because they got countersunk in the soft dirt but the campsites are nice fire pits and flush toilets cost $25 a night for non-electric 35 a night for electric Plus you need to get a state park pass, I got mine for one day because that is all I'm going to be here for and it cost an extra $7 on top of the 25 just so you know.

    Camden State Park Campground

Easily accessible camp sites. Great ammenities.

Stayed in a tent in early may. Camp site was easy to access and close to the restrooms/showers. The camp sites along the river have little trails that go down to the water, beautiful river bottom scenery a few yards away. There is a swimming pond near by and miles of beautiful southwest Minnesota scenery. Trails include river bottom, prairie, and woodland.

    Swift Lake Park

    Lake view with in budget

Nice campground just outside of town. Has several sites with a view of swift lake large enough to float around in a kayak. Sites are well spaced with shrubs between sites. All have picnic table & fire ring. Bathroom & shower are in need of some new paint & a bench. Otherwise very usable.

    Camden State Park Campground

    Needs an upgrade

Seems run down compared to 20 years ago. The swimming pond is very gross. Lots of weeds. They really need to clean it out. You can even see the spring anymore it’s so overgrown. Very sad to see something that was so clean and beautiful to be muddy, not clear and full of weeds.

Oak Ridge Campground — Sibley State Park

    First time at Sibley

Went for a last minute solo moto camping trip. Campground is beautiful. Clean, and great trails. Mosquitos were minimal, but the wood ticks were out in force.

Site was on a bit of a slope, and, in a pretty open area compared to the sites before it. The site I was on only 2 trees, which would be great for a hammock. Lots of traffic, driving, people biking, and walking by. It was pretty constant until around 9pm.

If you're looking for a bit of privacy, I'd recommend any of the sites before 96. If you're looking for ease of access to multiple camping spots (for a family get together with extended family) sites after 94 would be great for that.

Overall I enjoyed the campground. I will stay again, just not at the spot I was at.

Sunrise Campground — Lake Shetek State Park

Beautiful well maintained MN State Park

Beautiful lake setting. LARGE well maintained walking trails, most are flatter so easy to walk.

Easy access to fishing, kayaking and canoeing.

3 different campgrounds in the park. Sunrise campground is newer, electric, water and sewer hookups. Sites are very level, open with newer smaller trees. Sites are spaced apart really nicely. Oakwoods campground is nicely shaded underneath many large oaks.

Bathroom/shower buildings are VERY CLEAN, well maintained and showers work great and have very warm water. The bathroom/showers are in the Oakwood campground.

FLUSHING toilets in the Sunrise campground!

Swimming beach was clean and nice sand.

Park is located at a Historical site, read up about the area before visiting to get a good understanding about the area.

    Nice clean RV DUMP station.

Nice little restaurant just outside of the park called Trails Edge. Also have LP tank refill. Located right on the Bike Trail
