Spacious sites: Many travelers mention the generous spacing between sites. "Sites are well maintained and we required no additional leveling. Sturdy and maintained picnic table at each site. Bathroom facilities: Clean facilities rank high among camper preferences. "This is a very wide open center, or back in to Wooded sites. All site are very large and spacious. Picnic tables and site rings. Check in at noon, check out at noon," notes Lauren M. about Pictured Rocks RV Park.
Waterfront views: Several campgrounds offer lake views. "Our site (28) was one of the nicest with an unobstructed view of Garden Bay. There are many trees throughout the campground, so some sites are in full shade. There are also many apple trees," writes Lee D. about BayRidge RV Park.

Reservation timing: Advanced booking is essential during peak season. "This centrally-located campground was a decent spot for RVers. It looked to be fairly new: impeccable and level sites, well-spaced out, and full hook-ups. Wifi and AT&T service was good, though we didn't use much," reports Melissa H. about Pictured Rocks RV Park.
Site leveling: Several campgrounds have uneven terrain. "Have plenty of levelling equipment available!! Some are very level, some are not level at all. We were in spot 32 and 4" laterally and 19" longitudinally out of level to start with - at my max hitch jack limit and still 3" nose low," warns Alan B. about BayRidge RV Park.
Bug preparedness: Insects can be problematic in certain seasons. "There were a lot of bugs while we were there, so it was hard to stay outdoors for a long period of time during certain times of the day. But this is the Mid-west and it is just part of this region of the US," explains Sam C.

Recreational facilities: Rippling Rivers RV Resort offers amenities for family entertainment. "We did enjoy the pool and hot tub... plus the walk up bar with pizza. They also have a deck and patio to hang out at. There is an area down by the creek with chairs," mentions Shelly B.
Child-friendly activities: Seek out campgrounds with dedicated play areas. "Our kids loved that there is a pool, hot tub & bouncy pillow! This is our 2nd time staying & both were because of its convenience to 'civilization' not to get away from it," shares Jessica P. about Country Village RV Park.
Site selection for families: Choose sites based on activity access. "The kids stumbled upon a sand dune just off the main stretch of campsites. Not sure if they were supposed to be there, but a little playing in the dirt can't hurt, right?!" mentions Melissa H.

Full hookup availability: Many rv parks near Munising, Michigan offer complete utility connections. "Newer campground, not much shade but outer ring surrounded by trees. Site 50 has beautiful view. Hook ups are very nice quality. Staff is very friendly," reports Nancy S. about Pictured Rocks RV Park.
Casino convenience: Several Munising-area RV accommodations provide casino access. "Sites have electric but no water. Some road noise but that's to be expected. Gas station right next door.
