Nice area but no water anywhere

When there is no running water at cites, I like to filter my own.

There’s no water areas like the cam grounds west to this along the river, so bring plenty of extra liquids especially when it’s hot.

As an avid star gazer, I found the levels of light pollution to be low. Not quite as good as the…

Very scenic area with a spot by the river suitable to sunbathe or have lunch

When my partner and I came to this campground while exploring how far the roads went, we found a camp site that was just right to the road. The roads are not busy but it is a bumpy long drive to this area with 45 mins on gravel roads.

To the left of the campground entrance there is a small hill…

Sleep soundly to the fast flowing river!

I came here with a large group. The river was very fast flowing and would not make a good swimming area.

Listening to the river was amazing.

Convenient stopover spot

Small campground right off the road, easy to drive in and make the loop to check out the sites.  Small hill, but no issues towing our travel trailer out the next morning.  There's a pretty stream alongside, plus a trail that seems to go back for a ways into the valley beyond.  Not much road noise…

Three Rivers Resort in Idaho

So, I’m not sure why “resort” is in the title, this certainly not a resort in the traditional sense. But, this is a great place to stop if headed up the Lochsa River and has something for everyone.

The “resort” has riverfront cabins, double occupancy motel rooms, A frame cabins, RV spots with…

  • Early morning sunrise and fog😊
  • Sunrsise glowing on trees and a calm and quiet brook running behind me

Quiet, easy river access, spacious camp spots

Camped here over 4th of July weekend. Beautiful, quiet area, camps spots are spacious and well distanced. Dogs allowed, bathrooms were nice and clean, easy access to the river. For how popular it was, it was a nice quiet stay. Easy to reserve a camp spot. We easily fit 4 tents and 3 vehicles in the…

Clean, nice RV Park

We stayed here one night while on a road trip in Idaho. The park and facilities are extremely clean and have good amenities, like laundry and showers. Sunsets are great from this location! On the highway, but not much road noise. The WiFi and cell service was not the best. I would’ve rated it a…

Absolutely perfect!

We arrived on Wednesday with a reservation and stayed through Sunday morning. The drive from Orofino was a long and winding road along the river and oh so beautiful. The campground was clean, had flush toilets and drinking water, plus a dump station. There were plenty of open spots all weekend.…

Great one night stand

Just driving by and there it was. Waiting for me. By the river. Quiet. (Except for slight noise from 95). I was the first there for the evening so I got the prime spot with covered picnic table and level concrete pad. It is literally right off the highway. A very slight drive down to the campsites.…

The nicest Idaho campground I've ever seen!

This large, wooded CG offers separate electric and no hookup loops, with a total of 91 spacious clean sites. The Lachsa River runs along the campground. Sites are $14 and $20 and are more than worth it!

  • Bring your ax...firewood provided. Split it and enjoy a campfire.
  • The Lachsa River runs along the campground. Said to be blue ribbon fishing.
  • Bathrooms have flush toilets, sinks with running water, and cedar wainscoting...like a Hilton! The was also a handicapped accessible bathroom with solar panels.
