We enjoyed this campground (CG) as this was our 4th year coming back. There is plenty of signage and GPS takes you right to the CG. You turn left after the railroad tracks that will take you around the golf course, past the clubhouse, and to the check-in office. Do not go to the clubhouse to register, it is a small parking lot not suitable for RVs. After we checked in, we proceeded to buddy sites 60 and 60A. We easily backed into 60A and set up for our two-month stay. Madison had a rough 2023 with hurricane damage that was still being cleaned up when we arrived in mid-February. Our nightly rate is based on the monthly rate and golf package. We enjoyed golfing on their 9-hole course. WiFi is better than normal for this sized CG and we got two bars on Verizon. We had clear shots of the southern or northern sky for satellite and several OTA channels. On the back of the office are showers and a laundry room with 4 washers and 4 dryers. Firewood& propane were available and included propane pickup(set the tank at the end of your site) and firewood delivery if requested. The CG has a nice mix of back-in and pull-thru sites. Our buddy site was spacious, but we would rate the other sites as"nearby." They also have three cabins for rent. This CG is not a kids’ destination(big pro for us) as there is no playground nor much to do for the young ones. The CG is more adult-oriented with a pickleball court and activities such as group walks or special events like golf tournaments/leagues, karaoke, game nights, and potlucks. There is a large(about 2 acres) fenced dog park with a fenced-off area for small dogs. If you are allergic to train noise, a train track is adjacent to the CG. Trains run periodically normally during the day. Otherwise, this is a quiet park considering its size.

Easy to find and roads in are OK. Not all that busy outside of hunting season. Four spots have a picnic table. Spots are reasonably private. Did have portable toilets but some drunk idiots smashed them. Does have a trash bin.

Tallahassee RV is our favorite park. We camp there for FSU events (I.e. enrollments, visiting and graduation). Clean, orderly, reasonably priced, close to shopping, gas stations, LIQUOR stores (kidding sort of) and the FSU campus! Can’t go wrong with choosing this park. It’s a pull through!

All in all, we thought it was a pretty nice campground! We stayed in a tent at site 16 which was on the edge facing Lake Talquin and had electrical hookups, a water faucet, and picnic table. There was even a light pole that could be turned off at night if desired. The campground also provided a potable water station, bathrooms, shower (a bit dated but clean), and dumpsters. There are also multiple docks, 2 with benches, and a few to tie boats or kayaks off at. All the camp sites seemed to have gravel pads…The only downfall to our particular campsite was that it butted right up to the landing parking lot and a dock which has fairly heavy traffic. But it was also nice to see an FWC officer make their rounds one of the nights we stayed. Another downside was that the dumpster close by was emptied by a garbage truck at 5am Tuesday morning which wasn’t the best alarm clock. What was a nice alarm clock was the camp rooster that had been there a few years and drops by to say hello each day. We scoped out other sites for when we return!
ScoutI stayed two nights June 26-27 2019. The campground is very nice, small and quiet. The staff came around to check on us but was not a bother. The bathrooms are clean, running hot and cold water and paper. The bugs were bad even though we used spray and candles. It is a great quiet campground. Better in the cooler months.

Chris was very welcoming when we arrived. Got a beautiful ahaded spot in an end and right across from the site.as a beautiful field our dog, Blaze, really enjoyed. The pool was open and already in use. Wevwill be back again.

Selected campground based on proximity to interstate. Loud traffic drove us to stay inside our camper instead of enjoying outside.
Site was unlevel and took three boards to fix side to side, disconnected from TV to fix fore/aft. Concrete pad was all the way forward on the site while connections were over midway back making it so we couldn’t use both easily. Had to park father back to reach connections which was where the site dropped off (causing us to use extra boards to level). We moved the picnic table back towards the camper, otherwise it would have been by our truck’s doors.
Bathrooms were clean, but dated with rusty stall doors. Be aware there are speed humps throughout the campground. No fire pit on our site, but other sites had them. Not sure if we were allowed a fire as such.
For overnight guests, I would recommend asking for sites up near the front of the park, as they appeared newer and more level, although less trees. I would avoid the row next to the bathrooms on the far side of the lake as they appeared to be the most unlevel, like the one we chose based on the website (site 41). Be aware that some of the outer ring sites in the wooded area on the far side are pull-in sites, not pull-thru or back-in, which could make it challenging if you want to drop your trailer and leave.
We would stay again in a pinch, but this isn’t a destination.

This place is immaculate. The sites are quite large compared to Loves RV stop- at least double the size. The entire place is smoothly paved except for the nice patches of grass attached to each site. The check in is easy and it feels very safe inside the gates. It is a very short walk to food and convenience. Our boys enjoyed riding scooters and playing tag. As the name suggests, this is the perfect overnight spot when you are on your way to or from Florida. Booking is easy. It's a great place to walk around and admire all the fancy RVs as well!

The Campground just opened in December of 2023. The owners are great people and go out of thier way to help you out. The site we stayed in was level left and right but had to lower the front end to level front to back. The pad had a bit of a drop off at the back so the owner had us park toward the front. We stayed 3 nights while visiting family in the area. There is a nice open area that families were enjoying when we arrived. Good laundry facilites. Cabins are available if you are not camping with an RV. Some sites are shorter than others so just make sure your rig will fit the site. There is a store on site and shower facilities if needed. They have a 2 mile hiking path which looked nice and a small pond. I woudl stay here again in the future.
TravelerThe city has updated this campground. All sites are w/e with dump on site and large gravel pad. Back in and pull through are available on first come, first served basis. Some sites right beside the river. Playground for children. Rate: $35.00 self registration. No one onsite. Easy in/out for all size rigs on newly paved road. Paved walking or biking trails. Great in town location.

We needed a one night stop & this was perfect. Made our reservations online the day before. Host called me the next morning to confirm arrival time. Hosts were very kind, and escorted us to our site. Site was big, level, and pull through with full hookups. Long term rigs were kept pretty clean as I could tell. We didn’t use any facilities so have no comment on those.

Mixed feelings about this campground. It has too many sites too close together, but if few people are there it is peaceful. We stayed on a weeknight. Several people used the boat ramp, but only one other camper. So the night was quiet. I could see how it could be well used for day picnics and fishing and could become quite noisy. The boat ramp is separated from the camp a bit, and it was not noisy.
Not much view of lake from sites, but the lake is pretty from the fishing pier and boat launch. A bit of trash in some sites but not too bad. I'm guessing someone does not come and check on this site every day. We were in a van and did not try the pit toilets.
It is about 3 miles from the main road, one mile of speed bumps, two of dirt, but it is level and well packed.

GuideAbsolutely beautiful! Tall trees and spacious spaces. Full hookups. They rake the spaces so they're nice and even. We still had a slight slope but not a big deal. Very quiet and beautiful! They have a pool, playground, and a clubhouse. We used our starlink with no problem.
ScoutWe stayed 2/5/24-2/9/24. The camp host were very nice and accommodating. The campground itself is very clean and quiet. Bathroom and showers are some of the cleanest I’ve ever been in at a campground. If you looking for a peaceful get away on the lake this is your place!

Nothing fancy, but a nice spot to stay. They do have bathrooms and shower which are clean. They also have FHU, W/E and primitive. It is located on a busy HWY 98 so there is traffic noise during the day. St. Marks wildlife refuge is right across the street and Wakulla Springs is about 10 minutes down the road.
RangerThey don’t really have an office. It’s an odd arrangement. I had picked site 11 but she said we’d wouldn’t fit. When going on line it asks what type and length your RV is so I thought any would fit since it didn’t say otherwise. But she put us in a larger site. It was fairly easy getting into the site. Early evening another 5th wheel pulled in next to us so made it pretty tight. We had only a few inches from each others slides. They are tight spots. There was no place to really park our truck so my husband parked part of it under the front of the camper in order to stay off the grass. Later we had a knock at the door and she said he had to move the truck as it was in the way of traffic coming in the park. Only place to park it was in the site next to us that was already utilized but it was a van type camper. Not sure where we would have parked if it had been filled with a regular sized RV. Our camper is 42’ and it took up the entire space. The people next to us had a car behind their 5th wheel and a small trailer attached to it. Both stuck out in the road behind us. If you don’t have the room to accommodate a 42’ 5th wheel that you know will have a truck with it then don’t take one that large!!! When we left this morning there were a lot of campers there and a few vehicles parked along the street. We had no issues pulling out of the site.
TravelerWe stayed here recently while visiting the US from the UK. When we arrived the host was really welcoming. I can’t remember the site number we originally booked but he offered alternatives that were also available if we wanted to change it. It’s such a lovely setting, we sat on the fishing dock until the mozzies spotted us and watched a gator chilling out on the lake. The sites are well looked after and the showers were decent. We would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

ScoutSmall campsites but it's a small campground. Picnic table and fire ring at each site. 2 out house style restrooms. Cleaned weekly. Took a long dirt road to get back to campground and got lost 1st time going in. Have stayed there twice since I have family living in Tallahassee. Once in spring and once in fall. Found tics on me both times so beware. Chiggers got on me too. That's just camping in the woods. Will definitely be making future trips back.
GuideWe do not like traveling far off our route to stop for the night. We also prefer to pay for FHU and this was $42 for us with military discount. This park is literally 1/4 mile off of I-10 (you hear the traffic, which did not bother us). The spots are a little tight, but there were a lot of vacant spots so we did not feel crowded. A dog run and nice big mowed field were available for our dogs. Not much immediately nearby, but the town of Monticello is about 4 miles north of the park with a Winn Dixie and other small merchants. A simple overnight stop along I-10. we would stop here again. A single washer ($2.00) and dryer ($1.50) was helpful. If you can get spot #1, that's what I would ask for. Safe Travels.

This campground has so much to offer for the kids. Between fishing, the pool, the water park, mining for gems and the 3 playgrounds around the park our son didn’t run out of activities. That’s not to mention to activities the campground plans for the weekends that they write on a board each morning with the times.

You can rent golf carts, there's a store, games (not all of them work tho) pool table. Lots of fun for the whole family. Some of the staff had attitudes when we were there but still had a great time
