TravelerThis campground has a few tent campsites near the office/shower building but a great number of remote sites up on the side of a mountain. 4WD required due to steep inclines and rough road conditions. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring and some shade during different times of the day. Fireworks were an issue the first night because it was 4th of July but other nights it was quiet.
Management was mostly absent and check in was easy. Tent site selection is first come first served. Manager did pick up the phone to hear my complaint about fireworks (midnight) but shooters were coming from outside of the campground.
Lot of cabins and RVs But I didn't see any pull throughs.
ScoutA wonderful campground run by friendly people. The sites are on level cement pads which makes set up easy. It is on a steep hill, but the camp hosts escort you to the site and help navigate your camper in if needed. We are new to camping so this was helpful. Sites back up to the woods. They also have a great camp store for any little things you forgot or keepsakes. Highly recommend this campground and will return!

ScoutThis campground is basic at most. The sites are decent as far as cleanliness and space. It's a rather small campground so you are right on top of your neighbor's and the campground hosts, who in my opinion were nosey and invasive. The "lake" they advertise to be a mere walking distance away, is a very very long trail that you become kind of stuck on due to lack of information. You kind of just start on a little trail that ends up being a 10 minute walk uphill through the woods. It would be completely worth it if it led to a lake to cool off in , but instead you are led to a crappy pond that looks like it's in someone's backyard and convinced that this wasn't the right place I frantically began searching in any and every direction for any sign of this lake we came for, only to be filled with disappointment and then immediate dread knowing you had to trek back to camp . My kids whined and complained the entire walk to the pond and then refused to get in it. I can't say I blamed them
ScoutMy wife and I stayed a couple weeks ago and had a blast. We arrived and immediately met Pebbles (My wife's favorite of the Highland cows). She was the sweetest cow and allowed us to pet, take pictures with her and of course feed her. We also spent some time with the other cows and loved the experience as we interacted with them and all of the other animals, including the new sheep that recently arrived. The camp site was way more then expected. Large tents on a platform, with everything you need to camp and enjoy the campgrounds and pastures. Full bathroom onsite, great ponds to enjoy.
GuideVery tight between rigs if you’re in a 30’+ rig. Water pressure and hookups have worked great. Beautiful area. There was trash in our fire ring and the picnic table at our site should probably be put out of its misery. Perfect Starlink connection from our spot and pretty likely to get it pretty well from others.
TravelerThis is a beautiful park, with lots to do, and in close proximity to the endless supply of activities that can be found in the Greenville area.
The campground was quiet and well shaded. Some of the sites needed a little rehab and weren’t very flat. The bathrooms were definitely older, but very clean.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will probably stay here again!
TravelerWhat a great campground this was. Private with beautiful sunsets. The wildlife was amazing and we saw two bald eagles. The just was very laid back made us feel totally comfortable. We will certainly go back
GuideI highly recommend this campground. I stayed at site 38 in Loop 1. The host is a very friendly man, he greeted me every morning. At site 38 there is more privacy than in others and I liked that. It is next to a hill so it is easy to find wood for the bonfire. It is very close to the entrance and the bathroom. The bathrooms are very large and there is hot water, in the three days that I bathed it did not run out, it lasts a long time. The bathrooms are very clean and there is a garbage container outside. I recommend going to the Angel waterfall. And to the lake that is in front of the entrance of the camp. It was from October 24 to 27, 2024 and it was already fall. But on the 27th it was much more intense than the first day.
