Best RV Parks & Resorts near Midway, FL

The Tallahassee RV Park and Ed and Bernices Fish Camp and RV Park provide full-hookup options for RV campers in the Midway area. Tallahassee RV Park features gravel pull-through sites that accommodate larger rigs with 50-amp electrical service, sewer connections, and water hookups on level pads. "Very clean park that can accommodate big rigs. We found it to be pretty spacious and the pull through are awesome," noted one visitor. Ed and Bernices Fish Camp offers a more rustic experience with 15 riverfront RV sites featuring full hookups, though the access road includes a steep, rutted driveway that may challenge larger motorhomes. Several parks in the region maintain clean bathhouses with showers, laundry facilities, and dump stations for travelers staying at partial-hookup sites.

Between Tallahassee and Carrabelle, RV travelers find varying levels of cellular connectivity, with most parks reporting adequate Verizon service. Parks closer to Interstate 10 tend to offer more reliable Wi-Fi connections. While summer brings higher temperatures and humidity, most RV parks in the area remain open year-round with rates typically ranging from $30-50 per night. Pet policies generally allow dogs on leash, though some restrictions apply. A review from The Dyrt mentioned that at Ed and Bernices Fish Camp, "the water spigot is 25 feet from the coach and the turn-on switch is an inch underground," highlighting the importance of carrying extra water hoses when camping at some of the more basic facilities. Dump stations are available at most parks, though only the larger facilities offer on-site propane refills.

    River Junction - Lake Seminole

    Awesome surprise!

What an awesome surprise! COE campground on a dead end road (ends at the boat ramp) with water and power. Dump is just up the road on your way out of the park and super easy to get to. Level sites, nicely spaced and mostly shaded. I bet it’s even more beautiful in the spring and fall. Picnic table, fire pit, grill and a fish station at all sites. Walking distance to boat ramp and lake access. Pet friendly. Road in was paved and well maintained. First come first served and although there is a camp host on site there is no way to call to check availability. $20/night ($10/night senior citizen or Access Pass).

    Level & spacious pull through

We needed a one night stop & this was perfect. Made our reservations online the day before. Host called me the next morning to confirm arrival time. Hosts were very kind, and escorted us to our site. Site was big, level, and pull through with full hookups. Long term rigs were kept pretty clean as I could tell. We didn’t use any facilities so have no comment on those.

    Three Rivers State Park Campground

    A Great Florida State Park

Small, well maintained park and sites, with 30/50 amp and water hook ups. A pleasant surprise when we arrived, after miles of rural driving! GPS took us the correct way, but seemed we were lost! Staff greeted us at entrance, gave us a map and explained how to get to our site. It was raining, and our site was back-in and downhill, mostly level with gravel, a picnic table, has a fire-ring with grill grate. Bathhouse is clean and impressed how the trash area and dump station were placed away from campers. The dock/pier, and boat ramp, are at the back part of the campground, The amenities are nice and there is outdoor cleaning sink behind the bathhouse, sitting area overlooking the river, the fish cleaning station, fire pit area, trails, and canoe/kayak drying area. 3 concrete sites, as well as tent sites. Lots of spacing between most of the sites, some are waterfront. Wildlife is plentiful and the trails are a great way to enjoy it all! We will come back! And it’s only $20 a night!

    Florida Caverns RV Resort

    Nice Stay

We stayed here for two nights/three days of a ten day trip. It was hands-down the nicest of the locations. Clean, concrete pads, excellent location and good wi-fi that was not up-charged. The pool area was nice and clean. Service and staff were excellent/friendly and they escorted us to our site upon arrival. They also have trash pickup at your site daily. We saw a security truck drive through several times and had no problems from our neighbors. The location near the water cannot be beat. We were located near the docks and I was able to launch my paddle board easily. The water was gorgeous and clear on the adjacent spring/pond. Our AT&T cell service was good.

My only(very minor) complaints are that there are very few trees or shaded areas at this location and it would have been nice to have the fire pits included at the site. We did not spend any time sitting outside our camper and we only did about ten minutes in the dog park because of the sun, but then again, it's Florida in July in an area that's still recovering from tornadoes and a major hurricane. And by the time we thought it had cooled off enough to enjoy s'mores in the evening, the office had long since closed so we couldn't rent a fire pit. We have family that we visit often in the area, so we will definitely stay here again! We camped at Florida Caverns RV Resort at Merritt's Mill Pond in a Travel Trailer.

    Tallahassee RV Park

    Very Nice RV Park

We stayed nine days in Campsite 39, a gravel pull through with more than enough room for our 27' truck camper and jeep tow vehicle. We used 30 amp power and it was steady. The power, sewer and water connections were conveniently located. We were impressed by the cleanliness of this RV park; there are many pine trees and the staff worked hard to keep the sites and roads neat and raked. The laundry is reasonable at$2 wash and$1.50 dry and all the machines were clean and worked properly. We did not use the pool, restrooms or showers but they were all clean and in good condition. A Walmart Supercenter, Publix Market, Costco and Bass Pro are 4 miles away. Wakulla Springs State Park is 23 miles away and worth a visit. We enjoyed our time here and will stay again.

    Carrabelle Beach RV Resort

    Relaxing on the beach

Nice campground. Helpful staff at check-in. It has a nice pool and is on the beach. Access is across Route 98, but the traffic was minimal. There is some road noise at site#39, but it is not bad. Level site, full hooks, cable TV, and good internet speeds. Getting the RV positioned was a little tricky. While the site is long enough, the sewer connection is closer to the front of the site, so we could not park at the back. We had to be positioned to reach the sewer connection and work our rear slide around a large palm tree. Site 39 backs up to the pool and park office. At busier times, there may be a lot of people traffic, but not during our stay. Also note that there are no firepit or grills provided at the site. You must have your own grill. We enjoyed our five-night stay here. IGA grocery store in Carrabelle is the closest. Fathom’s Steam Room and Raw Bar is an old Florida open-air restaurant and bar with live music. There is a small dog park in the resort. Lots to explore in the area: Carrabelle, Eastpoint, St George Island, Lighthouse, and State Park, Tate’s Hell State Forest, Crooked River Lighthouse, or just relaxing by the pool or on the beach.

Overnight options: Several parks cater specifically to travelers passing through. At Stay n Go RV Resort, "New convenient campground right off I-10. Level concrete FHU pull-throughs," makes it appropriate for quick stays.

Site selection: When booking at parks with varied site quality, specify preferences.
