Seabreeze At Seal Beach provides full hookup sites with 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer connections for RVs year-round. Golden Shore RV Resort in Long Beach offers concrete pull-through sites with full hookups but prohibits open fires. Newport Dunes RV Resort features 372 sites with 30/50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections on level pads that accommodate large motorhomes and fifth wheels. Waterfront RV Park in Huntington Beach maintains water and electric hookups with drive-in access for recreational vehicles. "The spaces aren't huge so if you have a big rig or large trailer it will be tight. Most trailers parked their tow vehicle perpendicular to the space and some barely fit."

Several RV parks in the area require advance reservations, particularly during summer months when beach proximity makes them popular destinations. Dump stations are available at Newport Dunes and Rancho Jurupa Park, while most parks offer on-site sewer connections. Military ID is required for access to Seabreeze At Seal Beach, which provides enhanced security. Pet policies vary between parks, with most allowing leashed dogs but some charging additional fees. According to one visitor, "There is no guarantee your vehicle will be parked next to or near your RV; you are only paying for a spot." Huntington Beach RV Campground operates seasonally from October through May, while most other parks in the region remain open year-round.

Anaheim RV Park - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Disney Camping - Clean, Pool, Very Nice Restrooms/Showers

Anaheim RV Resort is close to Disney and is on the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route. They have full hook up sites and room for large rigs - back-in and pull through. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog walking/feeding service (for an extra fee). There is a small pool and hot tub. The restrooms/showers and newly remodeled and very nice! Sites are all level and fairly large. We've stayed here 4 times and will be back again!

      Bonelli Bluffs

      Hidden Gem

I loved this place, this hidden gem is located in the in the middle of the city, with the feel of the outdoor. Lots of trees, biking and hiking trails, fishing area, beautiful views, very peaceful, family friendly, pet friendly, the C9 RV spot was very spacious, I also liked the A & B area. Not every site has a fire pit. Definitely coming back again.

      Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground

      Bolsa Chica State Beach

The 4 stars is primarily for location. This is essentially a parking lot with power and water. We had a beach front space (B035) with a decent sized palm tree. The only one I really saw. The spaces aren’t huge so if you have a big rig or large trailer it will be tight. Most trailers parked their tow vehicle perpendicular to the space and some barely fit. There is no privacy, the small concrete area is shared with your neighbors as is the entrance to the beach side. People watching at the boardwalk is amazing. There is live music at the beach bars nearby which was cool. Definitely bring bike. There isn’t a lot within walking distance but downtown Huntington Beach and the pier is just a couple miles away.

      Waterfront RV Park

      Great place by the beach

Your not on the beach but literally on the other side of pacific coast highway you are there. They have smaller options for travel trailers with power hook ups only and pull through and back in sites available with full hook ups. They have a great pool, maintained laundry rooms bathrooms and showers separated by men and woman for that privacy you need. Overall an incredible rv park and very impressed by it being well kept and clean. Not to mention close to the beach

Mountain Lakes Resort - Membership Campground

      Great family friendly place

My wife and I have been coming up here for years. We used to use her parents fifth wheel or use a cabin but recently purchased our own travel trailer. Now we come up here with our kids and I can’t say enough about how family friendly it is.

      Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park

One of the Best County Parks you will find

This is a great park in Southern Orange County. I have tent camped here for years with my kids in the Live Oak campground and never had a bad experience. There are hiking trails everywhere with lots of wildlife to watch. I switched to a travel trailer several years ago and now use Ortega Flats campground. The sites are big and well spaced, with 30 amp electric. The water is off for the time being. The dump station is very close by and easy to access.

      Orangeland RV Park

      Location!

Stay here every year for dance competitions in Anaheim and Garden Grove. Very reasonable prices for the area. Anaheim transit makes on-demand stops her to Disneyland as well as Garden Walk. Very helpful, friendly staff. Many residents mixed with overnight era or vacationers.

      Pros:

      • The price for the area is worth it!
      • Amazing staff.
      • Free citrus picking!
      • Pool, mini golf on site.
      • Incredibly creak restrooms and showers.
      • Camp store.
      • On-demand public transport for $6/person for all-day access.
      • Walking distance to Big Ed and Honda Center.
      • Along Santa Ana River Trail path that connects beach to San Bernardino Mts.
      • Security at night.
      • Dog runs (kinda stinky, though)
      • Back-in and pull-thru sites (I’d try to stay closer to Struck and the western side)
      • Rules are there to keep things nice and safe.
      • Good wifi

      Cons:

      • Stinky dog runs
      • Street racing nearby at night. Every time.

    Guide to Seal Beach

RV camping near Seal Beach, California typically operates year-round with temperatures ranging from 50-85°F throughout the seasons. The area sits at sea level along the Pacific coast with urban campgrounds nestled between coastal wetlands and developed areas. Most RV parks in the region enforce strict quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and maintain paved sites to accommodate various recreational vehicle sizes.

    What to do

Explore the wetlands: Canyon RV Park offers proximity to natural areas despite being centrally located. "I litteraly forgot where i was because its like a little bubble on you...e ter the park everything behind you just melts away and i felt like i was in the woods, and at times i swear i was the only camper here," reports one visitor at Canyon RV Park.

Kayaking opportunities: The waters around Seal Beach provide excellent paddling conditions. According to a reviewer at Seabreeze At Seal Beach, "This one is to die for when it comes to kayaking." The protected bay areas offer calmer waters suitable for beginners and experienced paddlers.

Biking along coastal paths: Golden Shore RV Resort provides access to beachfront cycling routes. One camper notes, "Great Long Beach location, a nice bike ride along the beach to Naples and the Queen Mary." Many campgrounds connect to dedicated bike paths allowing for car-free exploration of the coastline.

    What campers like

Security features: Military campers appreciate the controlled access at Seabreeze. "A well kept secret with one drawback; everyone has to have an ID card to get on the base or be pre approved by base security," mentions one reviewer. This makes it one of the most secure camping options in the area.

Pool amenities: Orangeland RV Park maintains heated swimming facilities year-round. "Heated pool, spa was hot. Nice little store with everything you need. Staff was very friendly and helpful," reports a satisfied visitor. Most parks with pools keep them open regardless of season.

Proximity to attractions: Anaheim Harbor RV Park serves as an economical base for theme park visits. "The staff was very nice and helpful. The grounds are kept in excellent condition - very clean and secure. The pool, showers, bathrooms are all spotless," notes one camper. Most parks are within 30 minutes of major attractions.

    What you should know

Overflow lots can flood: During rainy seasons, some areas become problematic. A Canyon RV Park visitor warned, "We were put in the back (overflow) lot which name I use loosely as when it rains it floods. Had to park the car at the office so it wouldn't float away."

Road noise varies by location: Highway proximity affects some campgrounds more than others. As one reviewer at Canyon RV Park observed, "The site is bordered by highways on both sides, and they create noise day and night. They're also clearly visible."

Wildlife encounters: Despite urban settings, natural areas remain. At Rancho Jurupa RV Park, campers report, "Sights of all kinds of birds like hawks and herons. Water park and mini golf for kids. Showers and laundry convenient." Many campgrounds border nature preserves or wetland areas.

    Tips for camping with families

Activity options: Rancho Jurupa offers extensive recreation possibilities. "There are some great kid friendly activities," notes one visitor. Another adds that there's a "splash pad, park, mini golf great amenities." Most parks charge additional fees for specialty amenities like water features.

Entertainment after dark: Huntington Beach RV Campground permits evening beach activities. "At night, you can build a bonfire, which is really fun and one of the few spots in Orange County that you can do this," shares one family. Seasonal restrictions apply from October through May only.

Noise consideration: Some locations experience variable evening conditions. "This place can get pretty rowdy at night, depending on who your neighbors are," warns a Huntington Beach RV Campground visitor. Sites nearest entrance gates or facilities typically experience more foot traffic.

    Tips from RVers

Site measurements clarification: At some parks, length specifications refer to the camping unit only. A visitor cautions, "If you have a tow vehicle or are towing a vehicle you must pay per night for a parking spot, whether it fits on the site or not." Always confirm total allowed length including tow vehicles.

Spacing considerations: Newport Dunes RV Resort layout affects comfort levels. "I hope you like cozy. Neighbor in campsite next to us yapped his belligerent drunken mouth all weekend," notes one candid reviewer. End sites or premium locations typically offer more separation between neighbors.

Reservation timing: For holiday weekends and summer months, book 3-6 months in advance. "We stayed in spot 2118 and it had a nice view of the bay. Be fully aware that these spaces can be very tight," advises a Newport Dunes visitor. Most parks limit site occupancy to one RV and one vehicle per reservation.
