Terrific Dispersed Spot

My wife and our friends love this spot. As a matter of fact, we got engaged at nearby Jenks Lake and celebrated here after. No facilities, but if you have your supplies, it’s great. There are a couple loops and lots of spots. Enjoy.

Great First Come First Serve

Awesome location situated at the base of a huge boulder. Fire pit, grill, and bathrooms provided. Busy on the weekends.

Worth your bucklist!

Super fun place to visit with the hot springs trail. Went in January with snowfall, hardly any campers and nature all around! Two nights are perfect.

Another good desert camp

Gets hot early in the year so as always bring extra water. It was walking distance from a hike that leads to a little oasis which I definitely recommend going to, to beat the heat! Sunsets and star views are incredible. Nice large camp spaces.

Sleeping amongst the giants

This has been our favorite Joshua Tree campground so far. If you come in from the west side of the park you get to drive through most of the park before arriving to camp. You know when you are coming up to it when you see the giant boulders on the horizon. The campground definitely live up to it’s…

Good back up if JT is full

I’m fairly new to tent camping, city boy type. I had a pleasant experience over Memorial Day weekend. The dirt bikes and sand rails didn’t make much noise late in the night. But you choose where you camp. There’s so much distance I think you could walk around nude and nobody would notice 🤷🏻‍♂️…

Spent a night at Jumbo Rocks with my 8 and 15 year old.

I love this place! The kids had an absolute blast climbing the Rocks. The stars were beautiful as was the sunset and sunrise. See you again in the fall when the Temps get cooler.

Salton Seaside

Arrived after dark (5/8/21). Six big RVs and one tenter in this big campground. Trees provide shade; some sites have ramadas. Water available throughout. The beach has a moonscape quality. Sunrise over the lake lovely. Trains go by during the night (tracks are very close by), but didn't bother me.…

Mediocre experience, but great location

So…if you camp here you may be surprised to see 40 fters out in the middle of nowhere. Just be careful of the sand. We got stuck with our camper and had to call AAA, luckily they got us out just fine:) but save yourself the trouble and watch out for soft sand…other than that, the location is right…

Full timers

Park is full of full time campers. Lots of clutter and unsightly sites of makeshift roofs and enclosures. I drove thru to check it out and will not be staying. Might be a great place to live, but not for camping purposes.

Beautiful and close to park!

Loved this place! Beautiful views. The highway is visible from a distance but not very loud. Mountains visible from every direction! My 2wd car had no problem getting in and out. No toilets but I did have cell service. Calm, quiet, peaceful, and very close to park entrance. And best of all it's…

Honda Fit camper first Camp site

So I converted my Honda Fit into a camper for mine and my pup camping adventures. This was our test location. The drive was extremely easy with a couple of rocky areas that made me slow down to 5mph and under to not damage the bottom of my H Fit. (Didn’t mind thanks to its amazing views.!) We…

Beautiful Campgrounds

We stayed 3 nights in early May and just loved it. Weekends it looks pretty packed but we were lucky to start mid week. Staff is extremely friendly and facilities were the cleanest I’ve ever seen! Campsite was fairly large but we had a spot that wasn’t so private. Site 28. Must bring your bikes as…
