Best RV Parks & Resorts near Claremont, CA

Rancho Jurupa RV Park and Bonelli Bluffs offer full-hookup RV sites within 20 miles of Claremont. Rancho Jurupa features two distinct camping areas - Cottonwood with concrete pads and well-maintained grass, and Lakeview with dirt roads and minimal shade. "Spaces are one of the cleanest I've seen. Ranger is on constant patrol," noted one visitor about Rancho Jurupa. Bonelli Bluffs accommodates large rigs with 50-amp service, though weekend occupancy approaches capacity. Sites at Fairplex RV Park in Pomona present challenges for larger vehicles, with pull-through rv pads positioned extremely close together, limiting outdoor living space.

Both parks maintain year-round availability, though reservations become essential during holiday periods and summer weekends. Dump stations are available at Rancho Jurupa and Bonelli Bluffs, with some premium sites offering sewer hookups directly at the pad. Weekday stays typically offer quieter environments with significantly lower occupancy rates. A traveler staying at Bonelli Bluffs observed that "weekdays are really quiet with maybe 15 to 20 RVs in the F area, but weekends fill up completely." Most parks enforce maximum stay limits, with Bonelli Bluffs capping visits at 21 consecutive days. Pet policies vary by location, with designated dog-friendly areas at several facilities, though additional fees may apply.

Anaheim RV Park - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Disney Camping - Clean, Pool, Very Nice Restrooms/Showers

Anaheim RV Resort is close to Disney and is on the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) bus route. They have full hook up sites and room for large rigs - back-in and pull through. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog walking/feeding service (for an extra fee). There is a small pool and hot tub. The restrooms/showers and newly remodeled and very nice! Sites are all level and fairly large. We've stayed here 4 times and will be back again!

    Bolsa Chica State Beach Campground

    Bolsa Chica State Beach

The 4 stars is primarily for location. This is essentially a parking lot with power and water. We had a beach front space (B035) with a decent sized palm tree. The only one I really saw. The spaces aren’t huge so if you have a big rig or large trailer it will be tight. Most trailers parked their tow vehicle perpendicular to the space and some barely fit. There is no privacy, the small concrete area is shared with your neighbors as is the entrance to the beach side. People watching at the boardwalk is amazing. There is live music at the beach bars nearby which was cool. Definitely bring bike. There isn’t a lot within walking distance but downtown Huntington Beach and the pier is just a couple miles away.

    Waterfront RV Park

    Great place by the beach

Your not on the beach but literally on the other side of pacific coast highway you are there. They have smaller options for travel trailers with power hook ups only and pull through and back in sites available with full hook ups. They have a great pool, maintained laundry rooms bathrooms and showers separated by men and woman for that privacy you need. Overall an incredible rv park and very impressed by it being well kept and clean. Not to mention close to the beach

Mountain Lakes Resort - Membership Campground

    Great family friendly place

My wife and I have been coming up here for years. We used to use her parents fifth wheel or use a cabin but recently purchased our own travel trailer. Now we come up here with our kids and I can’t say enough about how family friendly it is.

    Pineknot

Pineknot Campground, Big Bear Lake, Ca

A bit challenging to locate via Google Maps... Just go up (south) Summit Blvd, when you get to the parking lot of the ski resort, veer towards the left, and just past a concrete wall, you'll see the little Pineknot Campground sign attached to an aluminium pole. The campground is very cozy, countless tall pine trees, clean bathrooms, clean sites, water from taps, no hookups, and not for big rigs. The hosts are friendly, but strict! No generators from 8 pm to 8 am, a $3000 fine if your campfire is left unattended, and no rowdy obnoxious behavior is tolerated! We appreciated the rules, and thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful, quiet, deep in the woods getaway!!

    Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park

One of the Best County Parks you will find

This is a great park in Southern Orange County. I have tent camped here for years with my kids in the Live Oak campground and never had a bad experience. There are hiking trails everywhere with lots of wildlife to watch. I switched to a travel trailer several years ago and now use Ortega Flats campground. The sites are big and well spaced, with 30 amp electric. The water is off for the time being. The dump station is very close by and easy to access.

We also lucked out finding berries in August," noted one camper who appreciated the natural surroundings.

What campers like

Easy urban access: Canyon RV Park offers a nature experience within city limits. "I have been here for a few months and I love it here. It's not only in the middle of a nature preserve but you're also in the middle of a City. You're nearby to all the stores you could ever need but you're also around a lot of wild life," explains a long-term visitor.

Off-grid camping options: Keller Peak Yellow Post Campsites provides a more secluded experience within driving distance. "There are only 9 sites stretched across 5 miles so you will have no neighbors. Each site is decent size and tucked away into the rocks. Many will fit multiple people easily," explains one reviewer about the isolation.

Fruit picking: Some RV parks feature unique amenities like citrus trees. One camper at Orangeland RV Park described, "Super friendly staff, super clean, 2 dog parks, offers really good wifi & cable. Can pick the oranges out of the tree," highlighting this distinctive feature not common at other facilities.

What you should know

Lots of trees, biking and hiking trails, fishing area, beautiful views, very peaceful."

Noise considerations: Some campgrounds experience noise from nearby roads or railways. "The site is bordered by highways on both sides, and they create noise day and night. They're also clearly visible," warned one Canyon RV Park visitor, providing important information for light sleepers.
