The Wayside Oasis has been a hidden treasure in the middle of nowhere for decades. Originally named the Wayside Inn, the restaurant and RV park was visited by mostly lake visitors. As the Wayside became more known, the news of the excellent food and accommodations spread and the Wayside, although still remote, has become a favorite stop for lake visitors, hunters, ATVs and travelers alike.
Conveniently located near beautiful Alamo Lake, The Wayside Oasis offers its visitors an array of activities to enjoy: camping, fishing, ATV trails, geocaching, hiking, gold panning, photography or just enjoying the tranquility of the beautiful desert.

This RV park has full hook ups And is compatible to any RV length gravel roads with a slab of cement in order to put a table on or grill or whatever you may have… some spots do you have tables so make sure you bring a tablecloth in case you get one of those spots and also some places have grass around your RV spot if that something that interest you. they also have shuffleboard and a few other activities going on. you’re about eight minutes to the local Walmart very quiet nice little community with really great prices. it’s family owned so you’re in good hands
Quiet RV site with tons of cute baby bunnies running all around when the sun starts to go down.
Gravel roads and plenty of places to park your vehicles.
This is a senior community
Nice clean pool
Slab of cement with tables on each of them at each site Really good tables not wooden broken ones but really nice tables. Pull through sites with full hook ups they have daily weekly and monthly rates
Nice community center with lots of activities going on so check the calendar so you can enjoy the activities they have going on You’re nearby to a gas station and the store if you need anything other than that overall grade RV park with new management
I've stayed here more than once. My last stay was in October 2020. It's a Passport America RV park so because I'm a PA member I only pay $15/night. It's a typical desert RV park no real frills. The people/management are nice. It has a bathroom and laundry and full hookups. I go there every so often after being on the road a while or after camping on BLM land for a long time and need a shower and water to clean my trailer or wash things. The location is very convenient for walking to just about everywhere on Main Street in Quartzsite so if you don't want to unhitch your trailer you don't need to.
The location is busy (but the park is quiet except for the traffic noise on Main St. during the day.) They try to make it interesting with outdoor art that lights up at night. They have a low monthly rate $199/mo. for those who want to stay in Quartzsite during the winter but want full hookups and don't want to boon-dock on BLM land. I prefer dry camping on BLM but everyone needs a day or two with full hookups every so so often.
Incredible long-term price for electric (MUCH needed for a few days during unusually hot temps), hot showers (for free we found!), and the manager said we can have packages delivered (this is the MAIN REASON we came, as we travel much)!
Yes, we could hear the hum of the highway, but I’ve learned to block it out! Praise Yahweh!
Amazing views, friendly staff. Also full hook up sites with 30 amp.
$40 full hook up. Can be near river, or further up. Showers, laundry, wi-fi. Sites sufficient size, close together
I camped in La Posa South area which is one of several areas for long term camping on BLM land near Quartzsite, AZ. You can buy a permit to camp in any of the areas for the season which I believe starts in November and ends in April. They also offer permits for two week intervals if you are not planning on camping all season. It is dry camping although there is a dump station and water available along with a row of dumpsters in each area for trash. This place fills up in the winter but there are still plenty of areas to find a good camping spot. If you do camp farther out watch out for traffic from ATV's and four wheelers who don't seem to believe the speed limits apply to them.
Camped with our Class c RV. First night was. Dry camping. Cost $15. Included a cement pad , great view, picnic table & fire grate. Next 2 nights were full hook up by visitors office and small convienience store. Hiking trails, fishing and boating lake. Saw wild mules from campground. Hidden Jen in Central Az.
Small… but cute and quaint. They have a smoothie, coffee and tea bar. propane fill up full hook ups dump station available Definitely call ahead of time to make a reservation to make sure that there is space available. all the sites are back in Laundry facility available also you can drop off clothes and have them dry cleaned as well for a cost obviously. They do have trailers available for rent at different rates overall patties got it going on in her cute little place. If you’re a Snowbird perfect place to stay in the trailer just bring your vehicle
Lots of older trailers and permanent older RVs. This is a trailer park with seasonal RV spaces and they offer overnighters and short term stays. Shorter term sites are gravel patches with no privacy. The seasonal rate is great, $1145 as of 12/20 for Oct 1-Apr 30. Store right outside the entrance.
A big sandy parking lot of RV’s with both full hook-ups electric/water/sewer and dry camping options.
There are a couple of flush toilets (often no toilet paper though), $5 (passable) showers for anyone to use, and a large dumpster available near the main entrance.
The upside is that you can easily walk/bike to the Big Tent RV Show and just about anywhere in Quartzsite, the downside is that you can hear the incessant hum of Interstate 10. The managers are kind people but bring your patient hat!
Sunrises and sunsets are endless and jaw dropping! Easy access to town for food, gas, firewood, laundry, and just about anything an RVer or camper could need.

The new managers were very nice and super accommodating. It is right on the main street in Quartzsite so if you’re wanting easy access to walk to places it’s the place to be if you’re looking for something quieter not so much. It has laundry facilities Wi-Fi and full hook ups with pull through and back in.
There’s also a self-guided tour of tons and tons of sculptures made out of used horseshoes it’s a mechanical zoo basically is what they call it.
A big dusty parking lot of RV’s with both full hook-ups electric/water/sewer and dry camping options. There are a couple of clean flush toilets and a large dumpster available near the main entrance. The managers are sweet and helpful people and have been in the area for years!
The upside is that you can easily walk/bike to the Big Tent RV Show and just about anywhere in downtown Quartzsite, the downside is that you can hear the incessant hum of Interstate 10 and during January show time, it is crowded. We stayed here during the duration of the Big Tent RV Show in 2019 (10 days), while working the Renogy solar booth and easily walked back and forth every day.
Sunrises and sunsets are endless and jaw dropping! Easy access to town for food, gas, firewood, laundry, and just about anything an RVer or camper could need.

La Posa BLM has several entrances and is massive. It makes reviews tough on this because it depends which area you are in. I’m am reviewing Tyson Wash and South.
I do not recommend Tyson Wash for large RVs. They are there, but there are areas where the ground is deceptively soft. We got our 38ft class a stuck and had to be towed out. It’s stunning and is very quiet there, but use extreme caution with heavy rigs.
After we were freed, we crossed over to South. South is the area where you can dump, get water, and empty trash. You MUST have a permit to use the stations. There are two permits; short and long term. Short is two weeks and $40. Long (LTVA) is Sept 15-Apr 15 and is $180.
Because South is access to the stations, it is very busy there. People park in groups and are quite close. If you like socializing and whatnot, the lower part of South is for you. The upper area is a dirt road access in but very quiet with enormous space between rigs. It is almost entirely big rigs who have tip outs and such…much more private area. Please do your best to respect the space up in that area. It’s literally the reason for being there.
This is probably one of the best Boondocking areas I’ve ever seen if you know what you want. Because of the stations, there are reasonable fees but I highly recommend it.
Looks like this is a rv park with a healthy social club and lota if activities. RVs park a bit too close for us and it is a dusty place. No cell service at all at our site.
We showed up after dark and the camp host came right out to welcome us and show us to our site. The site I had picked out was very small but right up against the river. The host (Mike?) invited us to change sites to the one at the very end and we couldn't have been luckier! I think it was site 19, but it felt very private but open to the water and had a little walkway to the river so it was like we had a private beach. It was our very first experience RV camping, so we didn't expect any frills and we didn't get any… but it was magical to wake up and walk outside and watch the sunrise!
Don't expect a ton of privacy (although we felt we had some where we were) especially if you're not along the water. This isn't the type of campground for a long stay, but for a shorty trip I would MUCH rather be here than in the RV parking lot type of "campgrounds" for sure.
There is a vault toilet that is simple but clean and the host put a couple DVDs at the info station which I thought was a cute touch. There are great trees along the water's edge but don't expect a lot of shade. Perfect on a clear night to stargaze!
Awesome small RV park and Exceptional Military Museum. Owners are down to earth, and Gunny is a retired U.S. Marine who loves our Veterans. Highly recommended place to stay, and if your just passing through, Stop in a visit the museum, Displays change seasonally.
Cute little RV park in the middle of nowhere, Arizona. We stopped for a quick overnight while transiting back to Nevada. Definitely resupply before arrival. There's not much around and the fuel station across the road has long since closed.
Super friendly staff and nice facilities. The grounds are extremely well-kept. Sparkling clean bathrooms and generous common areas. Wide lanes and easy access for large rigs. The sites are level and a fairly standard spacing for an RV park. We were fortunate in not having neighbors so it felt like we had more space for our short visit. There are no tables or grills at the individual sites which I generally like to see at this price point. The road noise was tolerable.
We got a good laugh at seeing a cell tower across the street and thinking we'd have a strong signal. Nope. Just the slightest, unusable trickle on Verizon and AT&T anyway. I had a meeting to call into so upon checkin they suggested the best place to get a strong connection on their wifi was to be in the main building. I still struggled immensely to connect to begin with and then stay connected even in that scenario which was frustrating, obviously. We didn't have a booster then so I'm not sure if it would have been manageable to continue working with one.
They have a nice little dog park and our boy was happy to finally stretch his big legs off-leash. I like that they offer a tent camping area as well which many RV parks don't. That's a big bonus in a remote area with few options since I camp in all the varieties of ways-- RV, auto, and motorcycle. It's nice to know this place is here for any of my adventures.
We only stopped here to use their dump station and fill our water tanks ($10). Dump station is located at the end of the rows behind sites 77 & 102. The person at the desk said they have their own well water which is good quality.
The staff person was very friendly and sells eggs from his own chickens for $4/doz, an unexpected treat!
There were also a few basic items for sale in the office.
This seems like a very friendly and fun place to stay. Lots of activities and hangout areas throughout the facility. As previous reviewers have said, this is an ATV heavy park, actually this entire region is big into ATVs.
This is the first RV park I've seen to require that the sewer hose be raised off the ground, something we would not have been prepared for if we were staying there. According to the information sheet it is a La Paz County requirement.
RV parks aren't our preferred place to stay but this one seems very nice, despite being the typical gravel parking lot of RVs stacked side by side.
We stayed at the Scenic Road RV Park after the desert began to warm up and we needed AC. No frills park. The showers are decent as is the laundry room. Sites are level. They offered us the use of their dog wash room which was a nice bonus. Noise from 95 was a bit too much for us. Good overnight stop or If you’re coming in to town for the Quartzsite RV show.
As the owner now of Bouse RV Park it is wierd to write a review but I have to! I came to this Park in December of 2019 as myself and my husband were on our first trip to see what being a "Snowbird" would feel like. We stayed here 2 nights in December and then went to Yuma. After sitting in a busseling park surrounded by traffic and honking horns, my husband said, "Let's Buy the Park in Bouse!" We did just that! Unlike the park in Yuma we could walk out our door and not see in the neighbors window, we cannot hear the traffic on the highway. The mornings are welcoming with hummingbirds, quail, roadrunners and even a coyote now and then. It is the peace and quiet we were looking for with just enough fun and giggles to keep life fun! We are so happy with the feel of our park. It is a seasonal park so we meet new people every year!
I love Bouse and I love the riding in the desert. I hope you will give Bouse RV Park a try, it is a little oasis in the desert!
Stayed one night on this RV park. Large sites. Kitchen and laundry facilities. One toilet and shower. Very tidy and clean. Nice and helpful hosts.
Jake from the Dyrt here! Coyote Pass RV Park is new to the Dyrt and accepting reservations! Check them out and leave a review about your stay on the Dyrt!
Stopped here for an overnight. Mostly snowbirds who looked settled in for the winter. A few sites along the river with cabanas. Sites have water and electric, but no sewer. A little cramped and not private at all, but are pretty long for pull throughs. There are private RV parks on both sides of it that have restaurant/bars on the water that you can walk to which is a great feature. Great location.
Only gave it 4 stars not 5 because it has "government park" qualities, but is a great place for the price.
Quartzite is a sea of RV parks and, this being our first visit, I relied on reviews to know which would be a safe bet to park our trailer for the night. At $25 per night (cash or check!) and an easy self-check in process (during COVID), Quail Run was an easy choice. Easy access off the 10 freeway, tons of gas stations around and wide, open skies... The roads are paved and the sites are gravel and pretty level. We’re here in July and one of about four other campers around thanks to the 113 degree heat, I’m sure. FHU, large, tidy spaces and 50amp power for $25 seems like a good bet! Don’t expect much... it’s a big lot with a couple Saguaros dotting the skyline. It seems like a fully reliable place, though the WiFi leaves a lot to be desired. I’m basing this review on my criteria for a single night “along the way” overnight stay. Good price, convenient, reliable, safe and fulfills basic needs!
Lots of flying bugs 30 min before and after sunrise and set but they all go away. Not many camping spots but close to water and clean restroom with hot showers. Boat launch, lots of RV parking dog friendly with a dog park. Get good water shoes or your feet will be cut up from river rocks that are everywhere. Close tent camping so if you hate people walking through or around this is not ideal for you.
Nice and quiet park. Not a lot of actual beachfront but water access was easy enough for swimming. The rv spots had great shade need a full sewer hook up for my likening but had a good time.
