San Rafael Valley Rd

I was looking for camping on Harshaw Rd and mistakenly took the primitive rd San Rafael Valley Rd and found some great large campsites and group sites along this road. We were able to tow our 36’ fifth wheel up here with no problem as this road seems to be regularly maintained. A couple times while…

Great spot!

Stayed two nights and was a great area. Ended up getting a spot near the main road but overall was very quite. Insane views and just a unique area. Empire Ranch had potable water to fill up and there are a ton of vineyards within 20 minutes. Was super windy one day but definitely coming back.

Peaceful and beautiful

If you are looking for a place that is easy to get in and out of as well as peaceful and remote, this is it! There’s a few other campers here, but lost of space between sites so we can never hear them. Great space to walk the dogs around here. It’s gets a little windy at times and the cows can make…

Beautiful Birding Park!

Right next to the Mexican border. Gorgeous park with sites on the water. Park is clean, with exceptional restrooms. Boat rides are offered on the weekends. Birding walks on Friday and Monday mornings. We will definitely come again!

Friendly with easy campsites and new showers

Most sites have a lake view. Seems like Arizona takes good care of her parks. Lots to do in the area.

Tranquility

We spent two nights at this amazing campsite. This campground offers 7 official and several unofficial sites that are scattered to assure privacy. Campground is primitive with no toilets or water so come prepared. Gorgeous 360 views of nearby mountains. Easy road access for low clearance vehicle…

Peaceful

Stayed 5 nights, very peaceful, approx. 7 sites at Cieneguita CG, others at Oak Tree Canyon (not a real canyon) and the old Airstrip area. Clean vault toilets at the ranch house parking and potable water, approx. 2.3 miles from campsite. Other small pullout spots along some of the side ranch roads.…

Great spot!

This is a huge group campsite with a few fire rings and plenty of space to spread out. It can be reserved during certain times of the year so be sure to check out the BLM site. Otherwise it’s free and in a great spot just off the highway and near Empire Ranch. You should definitely bring bikes to…

Patagonia lake

Campsites are a little close together. Not much shade so you have to be real familiar with the campsite to pick the perfect spot with shade trees and lake views. At the time we went the sewage dumping station was closed. They do now have a small market across from the beach for certain supplies.…

Totally solid campsite, free so the price is right!

I pulled in pretty late at night, so wasn't sure what to expect. Nice big campsites, not a lot of privacy though. Almost all of them have mesquite trees with lots of dead branches that you are allowed to collect for firewood, which is super helpful!

This is an old cattle ranch, so it's pretty…

Great campground!

We were only there for one night but the campground was clean and very well maintained. The office staff was very professional and made sure we knew exactly how to get to our reserved site. There is a restaurant on site that serves breakfast and lunch but they are closed Tuesdays so we can’t rate…

Nice and convenient to town

First time taking our 30’ travel trailer out. Selected Patagonia because it’s close to home base and there was dispersed camping available. Traveled on a weekday and arrived early. Found a site tucked back enough from the road so road noise wasn’t a issue. After we unhooked we explored further down…

Fun but dirty and noisy

Great Lake if you can hop on a kayak and get away from the day beach area. Weekends during the summer are crazy. It’s the only real lake in the whole area so it is what it is. We go 3/4 times a year. Bird watching is amazing. Also can hike the trail and see some cows. Water and electric on sites…

Beautiful lake and trails, a bird watchers heaven.

We camped in our Tellaro in space 18. It's a nice wide spot where we could easily fit a 2nd vehicle or a 5th wheel and truck. Due to Covid the bathrooms, water hookups and dump station were closed but they all looked like nice facilities. The camp spaces are nicely spaced out except for 2. #'s 35…
