Beautiful but Busy

This is a small campground with 11 sites. Even in the off season, this campground was busy. During the day, people drove in and out presumably to look at the river, and, while we had the campground to ourselves during the day on Saturday, there were several campers Saturday night. There is good…

Great spots

Few amenities here compared to many state parks, no surprise. The spots are fairly private though, and the table and fire ring were well maintained. Easy access to the lake and plenty of hiking! It rained on us, but we made the best of it. :)

Beautiful but far

I gave it 4 stars only because it is very far from nearest town (store) about an hour drive so come with everything you need. No showers. Beautiful spots, lake is 1 minute walk from the camp and in July the water was comfortably warm for swimming.

Best-kept secret

No one seems to have heard of this place, but ugh, I love it here. Have camped in the walk-in sites and stayed in the yurts, both are great. Extremely clean restrooms! No cell service, the lake is excellent for swimming and fishing, miles and miles of trails, tons of huckleberries and…

A great campground but come prepared.

Coho campground is a wonderful spot but it is a 35 miles off of the highway. If you go, pack everything you need. There are no stores or gas stations once you hit the paved road to the campground. The camp host does sell firewood and ice. Half of the campground is first come first serve.…

Wish we could have stayed...

Wish we would have been able to stay at this location. We spoke with the camp host over the phone and said they would be able to accommodate our small travel trailer and would text the address which never happened so we followed the address on the website. Upon getting to the site location…

Plenty of space, Reservoir access

We stayed here for a quick night on the way up to the Hoh rainforest. This seems to be mainly used by people with boats but it was a nice woodsy spot with large tent sites.

It’s a bit out of the way which meant that even mid summer it was not full.

Nice campground near Wynoochee Lake

The campground is next to Wynoochee Lake, which offers swimming, boating and fishing. The sites were adequate in size and have picnic tables and fire rings. Reasonable privacy. The bathrooms were clean and things were generally well maintained. There was a fair amount of noise during the day from…
