Several cabin accommodations can be found within state parks and private resorts near the Washington coast, approximately 30-60 minutes from Aberdeen. Twin Harbors State Park Campground and Grayland Beach State Park both offer cabin options with basic amenities including electricity, heat, and furnished sleeping areas. Pacific Beach State Park provides similar cabins with beach access. Most state park cabins include picnic tables outside and shared restroom facilities nearby. LOGE Westport offers more modern cabin accommodations with additional amenities. "The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. People staying at the campsite were very friendly and sociable. The women's bathroom has a heater and it kept on, really nice in the middle of the night when you got to pee," notes one visitor about LOGE Westport.

Rustic and deluxe cabins are both available, depending on the location. Schafer State Park Campground maintains cabins along the Satsop River, offering a more forested setting compared to coastal options. Ocean Breeze RV Resort in Ocean Shores and Screamin' Eagle Campground provide cabin rentals with varying levels of furnishing. Many cabins throughout the region are pet-friendly, though additional fees may apply. According to one visitor at Schafer State Park, "Nicely remodeled sites. Paved RV pad, gravel tent area at each site. Fire pit was nice with a grill. Bathrooms and shower rooms were neat and tidy."

Most cabins include beds but require visitors to bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. Cooking facilities vary significantly between locations—some cabins offer only outdoor fire pits while others include microwaves or small kitchenettes. Bay Center-Willapa Bay KOA provides more fully-equipped cabin options with convenient amenities. Firewood is available for purchase at most locations. Copalis Beach RV Resort and Bayshore RV Park offer additional cabin rental options with varying levels of furnishing and amenities. Visitors should check specific cabin details when booking as amenities and supplies differ significantly between locations.

      Copalis Beach RV Resort

      RV resort and campground

This an ideal beach access resort. There is a very nice pedestrian walkway bridge over a small stream and then a short walk through the dunes to a beautiful ocean beach. During certain times of the year vehicles are allowed to drive on the beach through various access points within a couple of miles of the resort.

We visited this resort during the off-season in November and during the middle of the week. There were only 8 other campers in the park with a few long termers. You can purchase a membership but it is not necessary to stay here. Visitors are welcome but it can be very busy during the summer time and holidays. I would call for availability.

This is an older park and facilities show their age but the bathrooms and showers were very clean. There is a dedicated tent only area and a few cabin rentals. RV sites are side by side and back to back. There is no shade. RV sites are full hookup with water, power, sewer and cable. There is also a dump site on location. Wi-fi is available for a fee, otherwise not accessible. We forgot to sign-in to our Winegard Gateway before arriving so we had data but no Wi-fi. Gravel sites with a little grass and fairly level.

Pet friendly but dogs must be leashed. Our dog had a great time running on the beach and walking the trails in the dunes.

Propane and ice available on site.

There is a community fire pit and portable propane fire pits are allowed at the sites.

Not all sites have picnic tables.

The town of Ocean Shores is about a 20 minute drive.

On site resort manager, Timothy and his wife, were very friendly and always willing to help.

      Cape Disappointment State Park Campground

      This place has it all

Cape Disappointment is a great spot for campers of all kinds. There are RV hook ups, tent sites, hiker/ biker spots, cabins, and yurts. Very easy access to the water as well.

The yurts are your basic state park round dome with sleeping arrangements for up to 5 people. It has a table, chairs, and indoor heat.

Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. There is a park store that has basic essentials and the ability to buy wood.

During the spring, the wind can be pretty intense so beware if you are tent camping.

      Bay Center-Willapa Bay KOA

      This place has it all!!

When we go crabbing it is usually our of Tokeland. We checked out Bay Center and were so pleasantly surprised by this KOA. This place really has it all!!

-Full Hookups, complimentary showers, wifi, cable, and a snack bar.

They have clam beds just for campers, or a day fee for those wanting to rake without camping. Some of the sites are pretty open but if you went with a large family it would be perfect. You can only have 4 people to a tent campsite and 6 to an RV site, which puts some limitations on people.

They have spaces for RV's and trailers, tents, cabins, yurts and even have trailers you can rent to stay in on site!

This is a great spot for families who do not necessarily want to rough it and want to enjoy a smooth weekend being cared for by great hosts!

      LOGE Westport

      Oversold and mediocre

A bit disappointed by this place. A bit oversold. Looks better on paper. Kind of a jack of all trades master of none type of place. There are rv sites which are nowhere near as big as advertised. They do have full hookups. WiFi is worthless unless you go to the lodge. They give the wrong info for passwords etc. and when told shrug and say “we can’t figure it out”. The cafe is ok but not much of a selection. They do have covered tent sites and lodging as well but I didn’t use either. The traeger grills are nice but there are only two. So if it’s busy you might be out of luck. There are two picnic tables for the entire place. The common areas might be nice in a non-pandemic world but now they just look forlorn. I think this is a big surfer spot or is trying to be. I doubt I’ll be coming back.

      Cape Disappointment State Park Campground

Cape Disappointment, relax, unstress, breathe the fresh air.

Cape Disappointment is not disappointing at all. Each camp site has its own fire ring and picnic table. Restrooms are in close proximity to the campsites. It’s a beach campground so remember the weather is going to be beachy. It is rustic but the restrooms are always clean though old.

      Cape Disappointment State Park Campground

      HUGE campground, but nice sites

One of the things I hate is hearing a ton of people around me while I’m camping. This campground is huge and very popular with families, but because of how close it is to the beach and a pretty constant wind you really don’t hear anybody around you. I was aware of kids running around, but never really heard them.

Our site was really big and lots of trees for hammocks & tents with a nice table and fire ring. The sites are really flat and clean with bathroom & showers located nearby.

This entire park is VERY pet friendly. Keep your furry friends on a leash and you can take them on any of the trails in the park. Keep in mind that the beach is VERY windy and my mutt was fine walking downwind, but when we turned around she was very unhappy being very low to the ground with sand blowing in her face.

There are lots of places to explore, a decomposing whale on the beach (stay upwind!), a nice lighthouse (under construction when I visited) and very close to Long Beach.

      Millersylvania State Park Campground

      Go here!!!

They have glamping! Or as the campground calls it: pampered camping. This is a beautiful park located on Deep Lake just outside of Olympia.  The park itself is huge offering lots of options for campers.  Super easy to get our trailer in and out of the spaces and there was lots of extra parking for our larger group.  A quick walk around the grounds offered a nice hike and showed us some pretty awesome sites Id like to stay at in the future.  They are on a progressive price, meaning depending on the site is what your price will be.

The canvas tent option was one I didn’t know about until I got there.  The tents are cabin shaped and have a few chairs and BBQ grill outside it.  Great option for families.

The park also offers a cottage right next to the lake.  This is a nice alternative to traditional camping.  One thing that was great about the park was the various kitchens around the grounds.  This offers a great way for larger groups to have a set space for meals.

      Pacific Dunes Resort

      Close together spaces

Smaller rv gravel sites. Difficult for guests to back in due to sharp cornersand tight smaller spaces. Space just for 26' travel trailer no room for tow vehicle. Used extra parking by dumpster. All utilities included. Nice wooden privacy fence behind all the rv sites. Picnic table and firepit with movable grill on it. Propane grill next to sand play area. Wifi was good. NO Cell reception for T-Mobile or Verizon.

    Guide to Aberdeen

Cabin accommodations near Aberdeen, Washington range from basic state park structures to more upscale private resort options. Most state park cabins feature electricity, heat and furnished sleeping areas while lacking private bathrooms. The distance from Aberdeen to coastal cabin options typically ranges from 30-60 minutes by car. Cabin sites at Twin Harbors State Park and Grayland Beach State Park offer varying levels of privacy, with some providing more seclusion than others.

    What to do

Beach exploration: Pacific Beach State Park offers direct beach access with expansive shorelines perfect for beachcombing. "There is a huge expanse of beach to play on when the tide is out. Most campers leave dogs off leash on the beach. Tons of kites flying through the summer days, it's beautiful," notes a visitor at Pacific Beach State Park Campground.

River activities: Satsop River provides fishing and swimming opportunities just steps from cabin sites. "The campground is located along side the Satsop river. The campsites are nice and the fishing is even better," reports a camper who stayed at Schafer State Park Campground.

Clamming expeditions: Willapa Bay area offers excellent clamming opportunities during season. "They have clam beds just for campers, or a day fee for those wanting to rake without camping," explains a visitor to Bay Center-Willapa Bay KOA.

    What campers like

Private waterfront sites: Bayshore RV Park provides cabin accommodations with waterfront views. "The waterfront sites remain our top pick, with the breathtaking sunset views and natural wildlife that surrounded us. Plus, the fires by the water added an extra touch of coziness to our stay," mentions one camper at Bayshore RV Park & Guest Suites.

Modern amenities: Some resorts offer upscale cabin options with enhanced features. "There's a stage, bar, coffee-bar, and mini surfshop all in one location!" highlights a visitor to LOGE Westport.

Natural surroundings: Many cabins provide immediate access to natural features. At Grayland Beach State Park, "The dunes between the campground and the beach make for a nice walk and an awesome place to explore and for kids to play," according to a frequent visitor.

    What you should know

Weather variability: The Washington coast experiences significant seasonal changes. "We stayed here in the winter often. The campground is clean quiet and right next to the beach. If you love the sound of the waves you will sleep well here!" shares a winter visitor to Pacific Beach State Park.

Reservation timing: High demand requires early planning for cabin stays. "Summer books up quickly, need to secure 9 months in advance," advises a camper about Pacific Beach State Park.

Facility conditions: Maintenance levels vary significantly between properties. One visitor to Copalis Beach RV Resort notes: "Compared to ocean shores this place was quite and more private. The only downside we found was some of the facilities were pretty run down."

Cell service: Connectivity varies by location and carrier. "We got a very good Verizion signal(4 bars) for our Hot spot and 2-3 bar signal for our AT&T hot spot," reports a camper at Bay Center-Willapa Bay KOA.

    Tips for camping with families

Kid-friendly activities: Many cabin locations offer designated play areas. "The playground is falling apart and they either need to secure the current one or get a new one," warns a recent visitor to Bayshore RV Park, highlighting the importance of checking current amenities.

Family-sized accommodations: Site sizes vary considerably across properties. "We took the family to Twin Harbors during Westport's Pirate festival. The festival was fun, the RV campground was not awesome though. First, it's pretty tightly packed in," shares one camper about Twin Harbors State Park.

Bathroom facilities: Cabin campers should check bathroom proximity and conditions. "The bath rooms we were near did not have showers, but did have a flushing toilet and a sink. The grounds were well maintained, and had a convenient store about 5 minutes away," notes a visitor to Twin Harbors State Park.

    Tips from RVers

Site selection: Carefully consider site location and amenities when booking. "There are rv sites which are nowhere near as big as advertised. They do have full hookups. WiFi is worthless unless you go to the lodge," cautions a visitor to LOGE Westport.

Hookup variations: Not all cabin properties offer complete RV connections. One visitor to Screamin' Eagle Campground mentioned: "Level gravel parking sites. Good Wifi. Very clean restrooms. Manager was great. One minus though was someone had driven all over the drainfield and destroyed it causing the dump station to be closed."

Weather protection: Consider sites with natural windbreaks for coastal camping. "It rained while we were there, but it was hardly noticeable with the tree coverage," shares a visitor to Ocean Breeze RV Resort about their camping experience during rainy weather.
