Best RV Parks & Resorts near Mantua, UT

Several RV parks surround Mantua, Utah, providing convenient options for motorhome travelers exploring northern Utah. Aspen Grove RV Park in Tremonton offers year-round full hookup sites with 50-amp service on level concrete pads that accommodate large rigs. Golden Spike RV Park in Brigham City features 38 sites with water, electric, and sewer connections, though it's not rated for big rigs. Love's RV Stop in Brigham City provides 43 pull-through sites with full hookups, while Traveland RV Park in Logan maintains 45 year-round sites with both 30 and 50-amp service for larger motorhomes. "Level new concrete pads. Nice layout. Almost all pull through. Great little store. View of the mountains," notes one Aspen Grove visitor, highlighting the spacious sites that easily fit larger RVs without unhooking for overnight stays.

For RV campers planning extended stays, most parks in the region accept reservations and accommodate pets with designated dog areas. Dump stations are available at most locations, with Golden Spike and Love's RV Stop offering sanitary dump services on-site. Cell service remains strong throughout the area, particularly at parks closer to I-15 and I-84. Summer and fall bring higher occupancy rates, especially at parks with mountain views or proximity to Bear Lake. Propane service is limited but available at select locations like Aspen Grove. Some travelers note occasional train noise at parks near rail lines, though most report quiet overnight conditions. Parks with concrete pads typically charge premium rates compared to those with gravel sites, but provide better leveling for larger motorhomes and fifth wheels.

Dry Hollow Campground — Echo State Park

    Right by the lake

We are at a spot that is on a cement loop (#1) which was unlevel and it is not next to the lake but closer to the road (which is not too busy) but a view of the lake. You get a nice covered pavilion with a steel picnic table and fire ring with grate for grilling. The camp host was very sweet. Most of the sites are pull through and accommodates big rigs very well. The park managers keep it clean.

    Cute little spot

Great amenities, dog park, showers, laundry. Stayed here long term a couple times and it’s always a great stay! Close to the park, splash pad, and track. Hosts are pleasant. A little close together but good for being on base.

    Golden Spike RV Park

Great RV Spot Close to the Interstate

This an wonderful medium sized RV campground that is totally locally owned so you know your stay will go towards benefiting local families!  That and given its proximity to the Interstate make it the closest and easiest RV campground to get to near Brigham City/Perry.  It is a perfect stopping point if you're looking at having all the comforts of home before heading into the mountains or into the towns nearby.  Amenities include a full laundry and bathroom in addition to cable TV and Wi-Fi.  They owners are on the property year round and is a very safe place to stay.  There are 38 sites that have 30 and 50 amp hookup options in addition to water.  Definitely visit this RV campground over the nearby KOA as it supports local businesses!!!

If you want to spend time out in nature there is the nearby Bird Refuge, and Great Salt Lake.  To the north and northwest of here there lies the amazing Devils Playground and the namesake of the campground which is the Golden Spike National Historic Site in which the rail lines from the east and west met.  To the east there are numerous canyons to choose from in case the days are too sweltering hot to stay in the valleys

    On the beach!

This campground seems like it is one of the closer campgrounds to the water. It's pet-friendly, has full hookups, picnic tables, and wifi. The nice thing about this campground is it does have a beach as well as water/lake access. Not as many amenities as the KOA (Bear Lake/Marina Side).

The bathhouse was very clean. Did seem less busy than the KOA (Bear Lake/Marina Side).

Birch Campground — Bear Lake State Park

    Not What We Were Expecting

The address we put into our GPS took us to the Marina so we drove further along the lake to Rendezvous Beach area where we checked in at the gate house with no problems. We then proceeded to the Birch campground(CG) FHU site 55, which was a pull through. The CG map shows there are 4 CGs(Willow, Birch, Cottonwood,& Big Creek). Big Creek is the oldest with a lot more shade trees than the other listed CGs. The CGs run in sequence along the south end of the lake. The sites are well spaced with a nice little covered patio with the picnic table. The beach is about 100 yards away and we had a sliver of lake view. We were surprised that dogs are not allowed on the park beaches. There was a fire ban that included charcoal grills(propane okay). We had great water pressure, used 15’ sewer hose, and received about 30 OTA channels. We had a clear shot to the southern sky, but didn’t need/use our satellite. We got 4 bars on Verizon. We where not sure what to expect when we decided to come to Bear Lake SP but we sure were not expecting it to be dog restrictive. Dogs are not allowed by the lake/beach or in day use areas so we were limited to walking them around the campground. We also were not expecting a tourist trap, sunning beach, and crowded with families during the week(Mon- Thur) late in August. There were plenty of CG workers but they did not keep up with the trash laying about. Our fire pit, which we couldn’t use, had trash in it to include a pair of kids underwear. We did enjoy going to Montpelier and visiting the Oregon/California Trail Center and Butch Cassidy Museum. One and done for us.

Dixie Creek Campground — East Canyon State Park

A good example of how government campsites should be done

Overall, the facility is neat and clean for a campground. My visit was at the end of the 4th weekend, so some messes were expected. My campsite was in good shape upon setting up my 30ft trailer. All sites are back-in and mostly flat asphalt. A little rig leveling might be needed. The outside of the loop at Dixie C.G. is electric and water only. The inside of the loop has full hook-ups.

All sites have long, sturdy metal tables and a metal cover over a concrete pad. A fire pit was adjacent. Even with fire restrictions almost everywhere else in Utah, wood fires were permitted in the provided pit. Common area toilets are well maintained, containing flush toilets and running water. Most service buildings also contain free showers.

A one-star deduction is due to the effects of climate change, which is out of the Park's control to an extent. That said, my beef is with maintenance of the beach - a nice beach by the way. It's obvious where the historical water level use to be. Wish I could have seen the reservoir full because it may never happen again. But I digress. I think the park should rake or scrape the beach surface to remove offensive weeds and people's discards. That takes workers, budget and equipment. My guess is our State representatives lack interest to fund state parks for such mediation measures. It would greatly enhance the visual appeal and safety for families at the water's edge.

Guide to Mantua

Northern Utah's RV campgrounds near Mantua, Utah sit at elevations between 4,200-5,000 feet, offering cooler temperatures in summer compared to nearby urban areas. The region experiences four distinct seasons, with most RV parks operating year-round despite winter snowfall. Cell service varies significantly between locations closer to major highways versus more secluded spots.

What to do

Riverside activities: Fish in the Weber River at Echo Island RV Resort where campers enjoy access to two small rivers with ample shade. "This is such a pretty and accommodating place to stay. They had a small pond for kids to fish in," notes one visitor. The site offers kayaking opportunities with multiple river access points.

Hot springs soaking: Relax in natural thermal pools at Belmont Hot Springs RV Park where guests can enjoy natural hot springs swimming year-round. "The Hot Springs were beautiful and very warm," writes one camper. The springs maintain comfortable soaking temperatures even during winter months, making this a popular winter destination for Salt Lake City residents.

Mountain biking: Access trails directly from your campsite near Riverside RV Resort where a trailhead along the Weber River connects to local trail networks. "There is a walking trail that runs along the Weber river and a dog run on the eastern part of the property," mentions a reviewer. The riverside trails offer relatively flat terrain suitable for casual riders and hikers of various skill levels.

What campers like

Well-maintained facilities: Aspen Grove RV Park receives consistent praise for its upkeep. "New RV park & sparkling clean. Large clubhouse with all amenities & beautifully decorated! Dog park and nice laundry/shower facilities," reports one camper. The park maintains two laundry rooms and regularly cleaned shower facilities.

Space between sites: Many RV parks near Mantua offer more generous spacing than typical commercial parks. "This place is amazing. Secluded and dark but flat, impeccably clean EVERYTHING! The spots were ENORMOUS! And spaced very liberally," writes an Aspen Grove visitor. Echo Island RV Resort also receives recognition for spacious sites with comments like "very big & the creek surrounded on two sides. It even had 2 picnic tables."

Mountain views: The Mantua area provides scenic backdrops at most RV parks. "Great Mountain View. This place is very nice for a Loves," notes a visitor to Love's RV Stop-Brigham City. The higher elevation parks offer particularly good vantage points over northern Utah valleys.

What you should know

Winter accessibility: Most Mantua-area RV campgrounds remain open year-round but with varied winter services. Aspen Grove RV Park in Tremonton operates through winter with full services. "We planned a 2 night stay on long trip to do laundry and pickup a few things. The maintenance manager was in early and we were able to fill propane tank before departure," notes one winter traveler.

Noise considerations: Several campgrounds experience noise from transportation corridors. "The interstate is 20 yards from the first row of sites. It was constant traffic noise 24/7. Sometimes it would slow up a little bit so that you could hear the airplanes flying overhead, or the train going by on the track that are 30 yards away as well," reports one visitor to Riverside RV Resort. Researching site locations within parks can minimize noise exposure.

Variable pet policies: Most RV parks allow pets but enforce different rules. "We had other campers dogs running all over, jumping on our kids and even attempting to come into our trailer," reports one camper at Golden Spike RV Park. Many parks offer dedicated pet areas but enforcement varies by location and management.

Tips for camping with families

Pool access during hot months: For summer visits, prioritize campgrounds with swimming facilities. "This place is a very cozy campground. Sites are asphalt and VERY long & level—with a strip of grass and some rock gravel," notes a Riverside RV Resort visitor. "There's a walking trail that runs along the Weber river and a dog run on the eastern part of the property. Laundromat on site and I believe a pool & hot tub during the right season."

Park proximity considerations: Lagoon RV Park & Campground provides direct access to Lagoon Amusement Park. "The Lagoon RV Park has a lot to offer from tent sites to huge pull throughs for the biggest rigs. Right next door to the Lagoon Amusement Park, it is super convenient," writes one visitor. However, the proximity creates seasonal crowding: "We stayed during the Halloween Fright weekend and from Wednesday to Friday at around 2pm, we were about the only ones there. Then the place exploded with campers and by 7pm the place was full."

Local wildlife viewing: Several campgrounds offer nature encounters suitable for children. Echo Island campers report, "we were greeted by 2 peacocks in the morning. At night we were also visited by raccoons so make sure you have everything put away before you head to bed." Secure food storage becomes especially important at riverside locations.

Tips from RVers

Site types and sizes: Most Mantua-area RV parks accommodate larger rigs, but with varying site configurations. "Great place to overnight while passing through northern Utah. Huge full hookup sites with concrete pads. Nice and quiet despite being near the intersection of I-15 and I-84," notes an Aspen Grove RV Park reviewer. However, site surface varies by location with one camper reporting: "Clean and modern. That is the problem. This is a $75 parking lot. Pavement, cement and no shade. No fire pits."

Off-season advantages: Quieter experiences await those visiting outside peak summer months. "We just stopped there for the night to break up the driving. The sites were long, paved, and level. You do get some noise from the freeway and there isn't much shade because the trees are still young. Stayed in October," reports one Aspen Grove visitor.

Reservation timing: During summer months and special events, advance planning becomes essential. "Love this facility has a resort feel. Has showers, bathrooms and laundry. You're on leveled asphalt," reports a Love's RV Stop visitor, but notes that peak season availability can be limited without advance booking.
