About

Municipal

There are a number of campsites within Stewart Creek park. The sites include covered picnic tables and fire pits with grates for cooking out. This is a beautiful park located on a point on Lake Lewisville and just across from Pier 121 marina. The only issue you might have with the park is that there are not a large number of trees. There is a great restroom facility in the park and a large number of recreational activities. A convenient overnight

This is a small, city-owned park recommended if you live in the Plano/Frisco/The Colony area. It is not recommended as a destination for someone looking to get out into nature for a few days. It was cold and quite breezy when we were there, so there were very few occupied campsites. We camped right on the edge of the water. These sites would be great for those with a kayak or canoe. There is no shade for several sites along the water, which would make them very undesirable for summer. It met our expectations for getting away for an overnight with the pup. I believe it has a volleyball area and horseshoe pits. http://www.thecolonytx.gov/Depts/PARD/StewartCreekRateInfo.html
