Awesome long term spot. Has a concrete RV pad that you can park your camper on or park beside it and use the very long pad as your patio, which is what we did. Management very responsive to needs and any questions you may have. This spot is on a very quiet area with minimal boat traffic. We had one camper behind us and they were super quiet. Super nice. Laundry at the office for reasonable price to use the washers and dryers.
ScoutThis is a great, non-- parking lot style campground. Every site is covered with trees, and though they are a bit close together you feel connected with nature. Two restaurants within walking distance. Shaved ice within walking distance. Kayaks available. There’s a nice designated swimming area in the lake, and a fishing pier. The new owners are going all out to make this a family friendly RV park/campground/marina. Only having it for 14 months, you can see the improvements made. There is a store on site for all your needs, that includes wine from the owners own winery. There a a grill also on sight. The campground is gravel pad sites that are mostly level (try site3). They have cabins if you don’t have a RV. Very friendly and eager to make your stay wonderful.
Our visit was a week before Christmas and the decorations were up and beautiful. Give them a try, as we give them a recommendation.
GuideWe got a primitive campsite right on the water and we’re able to fish a little bit once we arrived. We got there after 5 but there is a kiosk where you can check in and grab a map to find your site easily. The park is pretty big and there was a nice fire pit and picnic table we could use. It was still really hot during the time of year we went, but other than that it was nice.

Our site had plenty of room to the next site, had a covered picnic table, fire ring, and lantern hanger. Water pressure was 50 psi, sewer hookup was close, but electrical box was in the front and most modern RV's electrical connection in the back (30 foot cable just reached). The park is close (2.5 miles) to Cedar Hill where you can find shopping, dining, fuel, etc. Would stay here again.

The cabins and treehouses are just adorable and shine on the lake at night. I felt extremely safe as a solo female traveler with a kiddo in tow. Not a speck of trash in sight! I think we have been spoiled for every other campsite now!! I HIGHLY recommend this place. The bathrooms and showers were cleaner than my own at home!!

GuideThis is a great park! We enjoyed our 2 day stay here. The bathrooms leave much to be desired (like air conditioning for one) but the park more than makes up for it. The sites are shaded and well maintained. The park has received some upgrades with more planned. The swimming area is well marked and nice hard sand bottom. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Place is not consumer friendly and service staff is rude. Throughout the online reservation process nothing is disclosed regarding the terms and conditions. After they take and accept your money, they email you a link to the terms and conditions which MUST you must click ACCEPT in order to stay. Immediately tried to cancel as I didn't agree with some of the terms and they take a$50 cancelation fee. I call not disclosing this information prior to accepting payment, forcing acceptance after the fact and then refusing to return payment a shady practice. An upfront honest business would disclose this and provide a checkbox for you to agree to these terms before they collect your money. They basically twist your arm into signing to the terms and conditions if they already have your money, but refuse your stay and refused to refund in full if you won't sign.

We have really enjoyed our time here at Texan RV Park while attending the RV Fundamentals Course at the NRVTA. The manager, Betty made herself available to assist with any problem 24/7. The park itself is immaculate. There are 2 ponds, cabins, a clubhouse laundry, beautiful showers. There are food trucks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Activities nearly everyday. Everyone that stays here is attending a class, so everyone visits with each other. I really really like it here.

The campground is out a little ways away from the city, but close enough that you can make a day trip to Waco or Fort Worth. The road in and around campsites is in various states of disrepair. Lots of potholes and pavement breaks make it rough hauling an expensive rig in and out of the park. They were patching some of the potholes while we were there.
Otherwise, it’s quiet with a pool, mini golf, playground, etc. It’s not fancy by any means, and not well kept up, but if you are interested in a quiet spot in the woods with plenty of hiking trails, then this is a great spot.
LegendI stayed at Abilene State Park the night before and loved it so I chose another Texas state park. I had some issues with getting settled. I was first put in a loop and site that was next to a freeway and it was just too loud. I was switched to another site that was too small for my 25’ rig. The third time was a charm. The staff was apologetic and helpful. One of the loops I tried had a bathroom closed down for renovation so I am not sure why they were putting people there. A lot of the infrastructure I saw was a bit dated. Overall a good park but not as nice as Abilene. It needs some TLC.

Made my reservation on line just a few spots were available. Spot 04 with a water view space is slanted. They had the parking pass ready to pick up so it was not necessary to speak with anyone. The view, electricity, water, and showers was very nice at such an affordable price. Take your cleaning supplies into the bathroom as a precaution, I did not see trash can in the bathrooms. Leave No Trace is not really practiced by other campers so feel free to pick up after someone else this space is beautiful and deserves respect. I enjoyed the rain and the view it was very relaxing and I appreciated a shower as well as powering all my extras before heading on the road to Minnesota. $14 for the space very appreciate.

So day #2 without any TP in men’s restroom. Went to front gate to report it and was told they would call it into the Army Corps of Engineers as gate volunteers have no stock of TP on hand. Never saw any TP before leaving on third day

GuideWe stayed in the month of November. It was cold and rainy but the park did not disappoint. The bathrooms as so clean. The park itself is gated and secure. Each shower has its own toilet and vanity behind a lockable door. Our campsite (532) was a little awkward to get in because of the corner and the speed bumps, but not impossible. There is a pond with a fountain and a HUGE fireplace (not fire pit) for relaxing. We will definitely be back.
