      Thousand Trails Lake Texoma

      Typical Thousand Trails

A decent spot to stop. The roads within the park itself could use some serious attention. When you first drive into the park, to the left they are in the process of building an entire new section and it looks nice. I wish they would do some upkeep on the rest of the park as well. It’s first come, first served. The first spot I chose had a bad pedestal, so I had to pick up and choose another spot. I would definitely recommend checking the pedestal before unpacking. There were a ton of spots closed off because of the bad pedestals. There’s a nice walk to Lake Texoma which was nice. Not a lot to do around otherwise. Only 4 washers and 4 dryers for the entire park. Verizon service was good, along with T-Mobile. Even better with my cell booster. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

      Nice RV Park

Nice, quiet CG for our overnight stay. Plenty of amenities and shade trees.

Located off the frontage road of I-20. Road noise was not a bother.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They even guide you to your camp spot.

Level concrete camp spots. The FHUs were in good working order.

We would stay here again for even more than a day.

      Shady Business Practices

Place is not consumer friendly and service staff is rude. Throughout the online reservation process nothing is disclosed regarding the terms and conditions. After they take and accept your money, they email you a link to the terms and conditions which MUST you must click ACCEPT in order to stay. Immediately tried to cancel as I didn't agree with some of the terms and they take a$50 cancelation fee. I call not disclosing this information prior to accepting payment, forcing acceptance after the fact and then refusing to return payment a shady practice. An upfront honest business would disclose this and provide a checkbox for you to agree to these terms before they collect your money. They basically twist your arm into signing to the terms and conditions if they already have your money, but refuse your stay and refused to refund in full if you won't sign.

      Easy in, easy out

Nice large concrete spaces with plenty of room for a 44’ 5th wheel, tow vehicle and extra vehicle. Office staff was really friendly and helpful. Nice playground for kids and dog park. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is the feeling that we were parked in an RV storage lot rather than a campground. It feels commercialized and may be a fine stop if passing through, but not a place I would go to actually camp.

      Good stop

Well maintained, tons of activities for our 5yr old grandson. Only issue is the playground is adjacent to main road in campground and vehicles do not stop at stop signs it’s either not prominent enough or people don’t care. Should be more visible with a painted crosswalk our better signage

      So clean and nice!

We stayed in the month of November. It was cold and rainy but the park did not disappoint. The bathrooms as so clean. The park itself is gated and secure. Each shower has its own toilet and vanity behind a lockable door. Our campsite (532) was a little awkward to get in because of the corner and the speed bumps, but not impossible. There is a pond with a fountain and a HUGE fireplace (not fire pit) for relaxing. We will definitely be back.

Fun for a family, but not so much for a couple

Not sure what we were expecting, but it was not half bad. Lots of things to do if you have kids, but it stops there. Really no place to through anything away or walk the dogs. Space was great, and tons of room, but lots of construction noise.

      Texas in June

Full hook ups available. Some have no sewer hook ups. Most are 30 amp, many are 50 amp. Sites range from full sun to full shade. Quite a few annuals. Might have given 5 stars but both pools are shut down and it's HOT! Lake is accessible- about half a mile down a private road. Interior roads are a bit rough. Mini golf, shuffle board, horse shoes and playgrounds are available.

      Loyd Park

      Unimpressed

Overall the lake and wooded areas are good for a day’s enjoyment however the facility is not maintained. The bath houses are completely neglected. The light in the ladies BH is flickering so badly it was disorientIng, one shower did not work at all, toilets have no “seat”, and it is overrun with bugs (more than the normal campground). The gate entrance attendant is rude and unhelpful. No sewer hook ups at site so “community” dumping is necessary. The community dump is run down too with broken equipment and bent connections. Finally, for the camp charges $10/car/day. We have a drivable RV and rented a car so not only did we pay for the site but then paid more to have our car. Not going to stay here again.

      Loyd Park

      Loop A vs E

Overall the lake and wooded areas are good for a day’s enjoyment however the facility is not maintained. Also the entire park is huge so things are not within walking distance so if you don’t have wheels you’ll have to unhook for hike a good long distance to amenities. The bath houses in Loop E are completely neglected. The light in the ladies BH is flickering so badly it was disorientIng, one shower did not work at all, toilets have no “seat”, and it is overrun with bugs (more than the normal campground). The gate entrance attendant is rude and unhelpful. No sewer hook ups at site (E loop) so “community” dumping is necessary. The community dump is run down too with broken equipment and bent connections. Finally, for the camp charges $10/car/day. We have a drivable RV and rented a car so not only did we pay for the site but then paid more to have our car. Not going to stay here again. After dealing with E loop for a couple days we requested to move to A loop. A loop was much better but we were charged $20/day for the “upgrade”. A loop bath house was definitely better but still unimpressive. Office staff was friendlier and helpful (not gate employee).

      Cowtown RV Park

      Nice, quite, & friendly!

This was our first RV park to stay at with our new RV. We are from out of state and we’re visiting family in the Aledo area. We were welcomed at the office and check in was quick and painless. They even called us ahead to check on us and our arrival time to make sure we would be checked in quickly. The facility is a bit dated, reminds me of the parks my family traveled to when I was a kid, but clean and accommodating. The showers were in need of updated shower heads but other than that it was nice. The slips themselves were concrete and for the most part level. It took us no time to level and have our RV ready to use. The hookups were all in working order and easy to access. The pool is nice and clean, shallow for small children or if you just want to float around in the sun. It wasn’t ever crowded while we were there. There were a couple dog parks and three bath houses. All in all it was a pleasant stay. Shade is limited, welcome to Texas, but there were site with trees. We will be staying again while visiting for sure.

Well above average. Huge level concrete with patio and grill

This place is one of those campgrounds I’ve stayed out across the country. It’s right next to the golf course so Bermuda grass is perfectly capped and lush. Sites are really big with large patio level and for concrete pads. Of course it’s next to the casino so if you can stand not giving away your pocketbook you’ll really love this place. Free WiFi is 10-15 megs fast. Can’t beat 40 per night rate on weekends and 30 during week.

Very good camping experience. Friendly staff, clean park including barhrooms. Example of common courtesy that is not common anymore happened this morning I was eating breakfast outside at my camp site. A few camp sites away a staff member was using a riding mower to cut the grass, as he got closer to me he cut the engine way down so I didn't get dust and grass in my breakfast.
