BELOW AVERAGE KOA IN sanger/NORTH TEXAS I have a brand new 2020 travel trailer& I stayed at this park for 12 months. Usually the rent and Utility bill was never ready on time especially after Kevin left. Kevin was wonderful but everything went down hill in the las 6 months. The new manager kicked out all of the full timers AKA"the back row group" and kept the favorites on the other side by her camper. She didn't even adhere to the 30 day notice required on KOA SANGER TEXAS website. THE Letter was dated 9-30-20 and I didn't receive until 10-5-2020. The park apparently is dealing with sewer and septic tank problems and had too many residents according to state or local codes. I would not recommend this place except for one or two nights, but why stay here when wal mart parking is free for RV'S IN Gainesville and Denton. Very overpriced/ Glad I left!!

I highly recommend a visit to Loyd Park for anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing camping experience. You should go there territorial io. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is unbeatable.

We got a Free membership to Thousand Trails when we purchased our RV! This is the 2nd one we stayed at in TX. Sites are wooded, that’s a good thing in Texas! The sites had full hookup, loved that! Not close to the lake , did not like that! Bathrooms were not clean and they could do some upkeep on the property! This is another camping location close to the Dallas area!

First time camping in this area of Texas! The rolling hills are beautiful! This campground is very dark at night, so if you are arriving later in the evening beware! The RV sites are not marked very well! They are level and they do have some near the water! They have a nice pool and club house! The staff was very friendly! This campground is not far from downtown Bridgeport, there are several restaurants and if you want a good burger try 5 boys Ranch! I took my kayak to do some fishing!

Shortly after stepping into the park one is greeted by a quaint little pond with many of the RV units surrounding the water. Ducks and geese flock in the area and create a fun atmosphere to spend time in. Horses, donkeys, and other assortments of animals have are kept on the premises. It gives a true Texas countryside feel in the park.
We spent time here shortly after getting our own camper. It is also nice being close to town to have access to things as needed while still being far enough away to feel away from it all. Aesthetically, it is certainly one of the nicest RV sites I have been too.

We found Lake Ray Roberts as a nice swimming spot near Dallas to go cool down during the hot Texas summers and we LOVE it to go grill and hang out as a day long activity. So when my husband and I decide to start camping 🏕 we chose this park as our first trial, and we found it a bit inconvenient for Car camping since the spots are walk up and you gotta leave your car behind in a parking lot. Also, is very primitive style, so clean bathrooms and close-by water is not really part of the package. We loved the view from our spot and if you are up for a primitive experience within a park, then this is great. Just not for us and the type of camping we wanna do 😊
RangerOne of the more expensive Texas state parks. Standard electric at 25/night. Large bathrooms and lots of trash bins. Actual pay phones (who knew those still existed?) the trails are for DORBA (Dallas Off Road Bicycle Association) so maybe that explains the horrible lack of signage. Bicycle fix it station.
Great security. I was with my 3 year old after dark, maybe 8PM at the playground on the water. No lights so I used our lamplight. I noticed a truck in the parking lot with its lights on. We were there maybe 90 minutes and the truck kept moving. When we left, they left. I spotted it down the road and saw they were camp rangers. Bodes well that they were keeping tabs on the facilities even if it was just a mom and kid.
Very clean and moist spots are secluded. Lots of REALLY great primitive spots if that's your thing.
GuideWe love this Jellystone! We are full time travelers with young kids and they love this RV park. There are sooo many fun activities (be warned, the cost can add up). The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The adjoining water park is a blast. We prefer the older part because of the trees that offer shade in the hot Texas sun, but the red carpet sites are so much better for big rigs. We’ve stayed in both and would probably choose the red carpet sites for our 44’ rig. One thing that I love is how much they are putting into expansion, we look forward to visiting again when the construction is done. Anyhow, there are some cons, but not worth mentioning considering how much good exists at this fun park!

This was our first RV park to stay at with our new RV. We are from out of state and we’re visiting family in the Aledo area. We were welcomed at the office and check in was quick and painless. They even called us ahead to check on us and our arrival time to make sure we would be checked in quickly. The facility is a bit dated, reminds me of the parks my family traveled to when I was a kid, but clean and accommodating. The showers were in need of updated shower heads but other than that it was nice. The slips themselves were concrete and for the most part level. It took us no time to level and have our RV ready to use. The hookups were all in working order and easy to access. The pool is nice and clean, shallow for small children or if you just want to float around in the sun. It wasn’t ever crowded while we were there. There were a couple dog parks and three bath houses. All in all it was a pleasant stay. Shade is limited, welcome to Texas, but there were site with trees. We will be staying again while visiting for sure.

This just may become our home away from home. I absolutely love this little park. We stayed in spot#5 right at the end of the cove. Calm water, large lot land area and clean, easy access to walk right into the lake to swim, and space to dock your boat make the cove side of the park an excellent score. Each lot has large raised gravel areas set up in place outside the camper doorway. I love this feature because it provides a mud free immediate campsite area. As we walked the perimeter of the park while feeding the ducks and noticed that most all of the spots are great. On the other side of the cove, the lots are not quite as big, but the water is right outside your front door! The temperature difference is quite noticeable the closer you are to the breeze coming off the water. There is plenty of trees to provide shade, but not so many to block your view of the water. The only outside lots without direct access to the water are 54, 56, and 57. There is also a small playground with slides and climbing structures across from the restrooms(lots 22-23). My youngest was super excited to see a little library set up at the playground. We chose Star Wars readers.

It is a great place to camp. Campsites are nice and long enough for our 35 foot tagalong. Shopping is close and fireworks over the lake is a spectacular sight.
ScoutCheck-in was very easy, sites were very clean and well maintained, playground was amazing with an awesome ‘roller-coaster’ swing that the teenagers even loved. Bathrooms are not private but they’re clean. Immediate access to the lake and a beautiful view! A great little escape from the city.

TravelerOur site had a concrete pad for our rv. Full hookups are very nice. While we were here nightly thunderstorms came in. The staff were on top of it as they drove around alerting everyone about the wind approaching. Clean laundry room and restrooms. We didn’t use the store due to corona fears and didn’t need to. Pet friendly. Quiet at night. I would absolutely stay here and recommend it to anyone. The only spring time issue is lake flooding will close it.
TravelerMy daughter rented a cabin for her birthday so my wife and I rented an RV spot close to the cabin to spend time with her. 2 days before her birthday she received a call that the AC was out and they had to cancel her reservation. When my wife and I arrived there was someone in the cabin. We asked if they were having trouble with the AC. There response “No it works great. Or other cabin didn’t work so they moved us over here”.
RangerI can’t say enough great things about the vineyards. We boated, kayaked, rented a golf cart and more. The gold sites are worth it! All concrete sites on the water and stone encased cooking areas. Great water pressure, sewer hookups and more. Incredible sunsets and my boys caught a 12 lb and 20 lb catfish right off the fishing dock. We will be back!

GuideVery clean park, lots to offer. Right on the lake with a wonderful park for the kiddos, a pavilion, fishing, boating, a beach area to lounge and play in the water. Nice camp store, even had free donuts and coffee on the Saturday were there. And if you want to leave the park, it’s close to everything from shopping, golf, Dallas and Fort Worth. Sites are spaced out well. Just be sure to book way in advance as they stay pretty busy

GuideLove love love this place. We had site 38 and loved it. The sites were separated with enough space that you didnt feel on top of each other. Power was steady, water had great pressure. The only issue was the weather. We hunkered down for 2 days during and ice storm. Wow! The showers were clean and the laundry I room was spotless. A definite return stop on our list.

Well kept, thoughtful hosts, a cute little campstore, an amazing playground for our kids, a beach, golf cart rentals, cabins, and you can easily pull in a giant RV. I highly recommend this campground.
