"Before we stopped at the Brazos park we went from Pottsville Arkansas to the beaches in Texas .Started out in Houston and seen the San Jacinto"

"Obviously in Texas the land is pretty flat in most places, so there wasn't much incline at all."
"Close to the Texas Medical Center. The area around the park is a bit rough."
$200 - $250 / night
"The rangers were helpful and kind, but I expect no less at a Texas State Park! Wonderful trip for us! We will be back!"
Only spent a night here, but it was VERY quiet, completely dead-flat level site, with electric (30 amp). Beware of fire ants. Woke up to a beautiful fog in morning. Would return and explore. Saw numerous trails that looked easy, and tree/shade covered. Gate open 0800 to 2200. No campsites near river. Campground contacted us to inquire when we'd arrive (it was late) and confirmed we'd checked in before staff left. Generators not allowed, yay.
Nice clean state park. The camping areas were mode.Real nice there's barbecue grills there. I had 5G network with T-Mobile and good TV reception. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest.
This is an excellent campground. In my opinion, the camper pads are really nice. Long and wide can accommodate small or large campers and motorhomes. They are fire rings picnic tables. There's firewood for sale, lots of wildlife sightings. I got 5G network with T-MOBILE service and excellent television reception. The bathrooms and showers are really clean.
Stayed here overnight for a catch up on groceries, laundry, and some errands. Staff was great & has a large onsite laundry room that takes card. Also has daily trash valet that is nice. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is there are some cars parked along the road inside and it’s a tight campground. If you are a large rig could be a little more difficult to maneuver through & the private shower was dirty (there were a lot of kids at the pool and I believe they had been playing in it). You are right next to interstate, but it’s convenient to stores and easy to get in & out of gate.
Everything seems updated and well maintained with a covered pavilion at each site and beach access close by.
Staying here as a pass through for a few nights. VERY clean campground. Very happy with the tidiness and keep up of it. The staff were great at check in. Sites are far enough away that you have privacy. Nice bathrooms and playground area. My dogs have enjoyed walking the big loops. Have also seen lots of alligators, as advertised, which has been pretty cool! Only downfall is the mosquitos, which isn’t the campgrounds fault. Just with the heat and swamps/lakes they are particularly bad. Large clean sites with water and electricity. My starlink is a little spotty with the trees but am still able to work remote with no major issues.
Nice state park just west of Houston. Lots of hiking trails through here. Sites are spaced well apart and are private. We just stayed one night as we are headed to Big Bend, so didn’t explore too much.
Staff is awesome and helped us get in for a late check in. Spots have hook ups and great for a night passing through the houston area.
Campground is nice. Clean facilities. Nice amenities. Close to stores. Quiet at night.
