    Dinosaur Valley RV Park

    Loved it!

Every site is pull through with full hookups and has a fire ring & picnic table! Staff was very friendly and store had all the essentials. Clean restroom and shower (1 stall), pet friendly and beautiful pool/ hot tub. Right across the street from Dinosaur World (which our 2 year old loved) and outside the gates of Dinosaur Valley State Park. Will definitely be back.

    Dinosaur Valley RV Park

    Convenience

My husband and I stayed at Dinosaur Valley RV Park (DVRVP) on two separate occasions in last four weeks. We stayed 1 night during our first time at DVRVP and 2 nights during our second stay.

Here are our pros: 1.) DVRVP shares a property line with DVSP. Guests are able to purchase a day pass online through the DVSP website and access DVSP without ever having to drive through the front entrance. It was a simple 1 minute walk to access the park through DVRVP.

2.) You do not have to enter DVSP to enjoy the Paluxy River. Guests of DVRVP can access the river by following a small trail at one corner of the park by the entrance of DVSP. Our family spent a whole day in the river a minute walk from our camper.

3.) Dinosaur World is across the street.

4.) DVRVP is a family owned and operated business. The service was friendly! We wanted to add a. Additional day. We called and left a message. Moments later we received a return phone call. We were placed on a wait list. A few hours later we received another phone call let us know they were able to add an additional day to our visit.

5.) The sites are pull in and leveled for the most part. Both sites we stayed at were clean, free of trash and pet waste. The fire pits had been cleaned out. Connections are conveniently placed on driver side and we’re cleaned.

6.) DVRVP staff hosts several family friendly activities for guests throughout the day, everyday.

7.) DVRVP has a playground, swimming pool, hot tub, fire pit and plenty of green space for kids to roam and explore.

    8.) Pet Friendly!

9.) No RV age restrictions! We saw old to new class A’s to C’s and towable’s.

    Here are our cons:

1.) 2 pet limit per site. We would love to bring all three of our dogs. One is tiny and is an incident dog.

    Meridian State Park Campground

    Meridian State Park

Wish they would change the name to Meridian State Park instead of just Meridian on here.  Very nice, small, peaceful park.  There are 8 pull thru sites with full hookups, including 50 amp.  We were in on site 6.  Fairly level, but not much room to put a rug out.  They had 5 big rocks out to keep people from parking to close to the site.  Very close to the bathroom and shower room.  Very clean.  Right next to Park Office.  Lake was only 5 minute walk or minute drive.  Excellent swimming area  with picnic tables and grills.  Did not get a chance to fish there but heard it is very good.  Very quiet park.

Tres Rios RV River Resort and Campground

Quiet spot with access to three rivers

Good place for full time campers or people with kids. Has decent playground for the kids and a pool. They are family friendly. Staff is friendly. Easy access to rivers. Nice walking area. Camping itself is right next to other campers, no trees and only some spots back up to the river.

    Midway Pines RV Park

    Last Minute Stop

We needed a last minute place to stay, and the lady who answered the phone was super nice. She gave us a fantastic pull-through spot with full hookups (30 and 50 amp) for a price that was the best we have ever seen. The trees 🌲 really do make this environment feel mountainous. It was a nice surprise for Texas. The campgrounds are really pleasant and the park has fantastic access to the highway.

    Cedar Ridge RV Park

    Mostly Permanent Residence

Not sure about the first two reviews on the RV park.  For one thing you cannot boat into this park nor is it on a lake.  It is located on Highway 67 west of Glen Rose.  It's basically a long term full time residential park.

    Vw's Spot

    Nice spot

Not too busy and pretty quiet. 30 and 50 amp pull through and back in RV spots. Water and sewage hookups. Can be windy here, be careful with your awnings. No firepits or firewood available. Purple goat restaurant to eat at. Closest grocery about 5 miles.

Guide to Dublin

The Dublin area offers several RV parks with varying accommodations to meet traveler needs. Most campgrounds in this region of central Texas maintain consistent connections to nearby attractions while providing different levels of amenities. The average summer temperature reaches 96°F, making water access important for campers visiting from June through August. Winter temperatures typically range from 35-60°F with relatively mild conditions for year-round camping.

What to do

Visit dinosaur attractions: Dinosaur Valley RV Park provides convenient access to fossil exploration. "Dinosaur World is literally across the street (easily walkable) and Dinosaur Valley State Park is an easy drive," notes Tiffany H. The park also offers direct river access for cooling off during hot days.

Farm animal interactions: At Tiny Town at GSD Ranch, children can enjoy unique animal encounters. As one visitor to nearby Rockin' K RV Park mentioned, "my kids got to feed the mini goats and mini donkey- very fun at Tiny Town at GSD Ranch."

Explore historic Hico: The small town near several RV parks offers unique Texas history. "Hico is a perfect place to stop and explore. A TX historical treasure with the Billy the Kid Museum downtown!" reports Kara I. The town's historic district provides a glimpse into Texas frontier heritage within a short drive from Dublin.

What campers like

Equestrian facilities: Horse owners appreciate the specialized amenities at 4C's Rodeo Ranch RV Park. "If you have horses this is the place for you if you are transiting through North Central Texas... Sites all appear level and are quite long, I assume for those who are hauling their horses," writes Sallie H.

River recreation: The Paluxy River provides natural water features at several parks. According to Jeff N., "The Paluxy river runs through a few trails and there are Dino tracks. Gorgeous rock face above the River." Visitors recommend bringing waterproof shoes when crossing the river.

Family amenities: Multiple swimming options keep families comfortable during hot weather. "They have separate adult and kids pools + a pretty good playground with great umbrellas for shade at the kids pool, plus a nice little water feature that the kids loved," reports one visitor about Dinosaur Valley RV Park.

What you should know

Site layouts vary: Some parks offer more spacious arrangements than others. At Green Deer RV Park, Bill B. noted it's "a down home friendly place within minutes of anything you need in Stephenville, Texas. It has two full bathrooms complete with showers, work out room, washer and dryers and an area for meetings."

Weather considerations: Summer heat affects camping comfort significantly. One camper mentioned enjoying "the peace and quiet" but recommended using available water features during hot months.

Wi-Fi reliability: Internet connectivity varies between parks. At Lost Creek RV Park, a visitor reported "very neat and clean RV spots and cabins. Good WiFi!" making it suitable for those needing to stay connected.

Tips for camping with families

Check pool policies: Some RV parks offer separate swimming areas for adults and children. "There's also a grown up only pool with a hot tub!" mentions Cat R. about Dinosaur Valley RV Park.

Look for scheduled activities: Weekend programming enhances family visits. "Weekend activities like movie night, s'mores, hay rides, and petting zoo," are available at certain parks according to Mark C.

Consider cabin options: For families without RVs, Off The Vine RV Park provides vintage RV rentals, though with limitations. One visitor noted: "My Mother-in-Law spent two nights in 'The Dude' a 27ft Airstream. her primary complaints... not much of a shower, no way to cook a meal."

Tips from RVers

Site leveling: Some parks require minimal adjustments. According to Bill B., Dinosaur Valley RV Park has "all sites are pull thru (approx 80') with a lot of space between spaces" and "we will be back."

Check for pet policies: Most parks welcome pets but may have restrictions. At Hoof Prints Ranch, visitors noted the property is "good rv park if you have horses or if you are just wanting to stop with your rv in Stephenville on the way somewhere else."

Verify dump station access: Not all parks offer this essential service. At certain locations, visitors can find "laundry facilities and Wi-Fi" alongside other amenities like dump stations, making longer stays more convenient.
