Best RV Parks & Resorts near Eddyville, OR

RV parks and resorts near Eddyville provide diverse options for motorhome travelers along the Oregon coast. Seal Rocks RV Cove features full hookup sites with 50-amp electrical service and accommodates big rigs with paved roads throughout the campground. Port of Newport RV Park & Marina offers waterfront sites with full hookups and marina views, though some areas resemble a parking lot setup. Premier RV Resort in Lincoln City maintains 92 sites with both 50-amp and 30-amp options, concrete pads, and year-round availability. "The space was clean and the utility hookups were well maintained and functional. We upgraded to a pull through and in hindsight should not have," noted one visitor about Premier RV.

Most coastal RV parks require reservations, particularly during summer months when occupancy reaches capacity. Access to Seal Rocks and other coastal parks involves navigating Highway 101, which occasionally narrows through small towns. Dump stations are available at Port of Newport and several state parks in the region. Cell service varies significantly—Seal Rocks reports limited Verizon coverage (one bar), while parks closer to Newport generally offer stronger signals. Pet policies are consistent across most parks, allowing dogs on leashes with designated pet areas. During winter months, coastal parks remain open but may experience heavy rain and strong winds. Some parks charge additional fees for visitors from out of state, and many implement surcharges for extra vehicles or pets beyond the first animal.

    Premier RV Resort at Eugene

    Well Managed Campground

This is a large campground, mostly populated by big rigs, and mostly long term stays. Looked like a lot of people were working in the area. Almost all of the RV's there are very nice - no long term stay hoarder scenes. The roads are paved, majority of sites are pull through, photos on Dyrt are accurate. We had a 30 amp site and all of the utilities were well maintained and arranged well. Water pressure was good. Everything is well maintained. The women in the office were friendly, efficient, and helpful. It is a very dog friendly park and there is lots of room for dogs but everyone picked up after dogs and we heard almost zero barking. There were a few kids there but they were quiet except for a little play time in the afternoons. Downsides: a couple of the machines in the laundry were out of service (but the others worked well); there is a lot of road noise from I-5; cellular reception is sketchy. The road noise varies a lot though so ask for a site close to the office or in the older section. The new sites farther back are closer to the interstate. The road noise was much less annoying than we anticipated and we slept well. There is a TA truck stop nearby for filling up as well as a diner and a McDonalds. Of course, driving into Eugene to eat is easy enough. We had just 1 bar of Verizon and it was unusable but we had 3 bars of ATT which worked well. The do have a dog wash station toward the back of the park and also a car wash station that is easily accessible on the main road. We stayed for 3 nights while taking care of some things in Eugene and it worked out well for us. If only this place was farther off the road it would really be great.

Carl G. Washburne Memorial State Park Campground

    Nice secluded campground

Stayed 4 nights. Clean bathrooms, good space between campsites. Nestled in the tall trees, it would be cool during a hot summer. Since I visited in November and it rained, the drops from the trees were loud on my trailer roof. (Well duh!) 1/2 mile walk to the beach. Clean, safe, and quietWell maintained campgrounds, as are all Oregon parks. Great reservation system. (California in comparison has a terrible website. What’s up CA?) 30 and 50 amp electric, water and sewer at the site (Full hookups). Great dump station across the highway. Back in spaces, so a 40 foot RV would barely fit. This is an older but well maintained campground.

Carl G. Washburne Memorial State Park Campground

Nice place to stay on the Oregon Coast

A great little campground settled along the coast near Florence, Oregon.

Get there early as reservations cannot be made and its all first come, first serve! It is extremely busy during peak season, so if your looking for a not so busy campground, this is not it.

Full hook ups available along with restrooms/ showers, fire wood for sale and there is a dump station on site. Picnic table and fire pit at every site. You are along HWY 101, but the trees do provide a little bit of a sound buffer. There is no playground at this campground, however they offer the Junior Ranger Program to occupy kiddos which is great! Trails nearby lead down to the beach and its 2 miles by trail to the Heceta Head Light House.

Overall this is a great family friendly little campground!

Visiting in the off season is a great option if you can't get a spot in peak season as it is open year round.

I would give this one the full 5 stars, but the inability to make reservations for this State Park is a huge con :/

    Premier RV Resort

    Good Base Camp

Our stay at the Lincoln City Premier RV Resort was good.  The space was clean and the utility hookups were well maintained and functional.  And, staff were very nice and accommodating.  We upgraded to a pull through and in hindsight should not have.  It was close to the road, and many of the trailers in the pull through section appeared to be long term occupants, at least a couple left early in the morning for work and returned in the afternoon.  The location although easy to get both north and south from because it is adjacent to the highway, was in a part of town that seemed a little economically depressed.  I would have rated it higher but for the price, I expected more.  UPDATE  We visited this park for a second time in 2023 and selected a back in site near the north east section of the park and loved it.  We are changing our rating to five stars.

Port of Siuslaw Campground & Marina

    Pricey, But Loved It

Parks that are walking distance to shops and restaurants are such a treat.  There are breweries, restaurants, farmers market (on Tuesday afternoon), shops, etc all within easy walking distance from here.

We stayed at a waterfront site, which was cheaper than the "premium" pull through sites in the middle.  With fees and extra pet fees (you get one pet included in the nightly fee, any additional pets are $2 each) we paid $47 for a night.   The premium sites we would not recommend, unless you must have a pull through site.  Those are basically just spots in a gravel lot with hookups.  Zero division between sites.  And they are the most expensive at $55/night.

There's a nice gazebo to use for group events, but it's an odd set up in that there is no path to the gazebo and it's in the center of a circle of back in sites.  So if all the sites were occupied, I suppose you'd have to walk through someone's site to access it?

So pleasantly surprised to see glass recycling here!  We got to dump off our growing pile of traveling glass recycling.  Mixed recycling is in a separate bin.  But no plastics!

There is laundry here, and showers, but we did not use either.  There's a book exchange shelf in the office.

Their website is out of date: there are no dry camp spots any longer.  All sites are FHU.

Good cell service here and their wifi is good and strong, even in the back end where we were.

We liked this place to splurge on a place close to town, but overall too pricey for us to stay for any length of time.

    Premier RV Resort

    Nice CG, but small sites

We are full-timers in a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. We were in site 57 for 4 days in mid September. Very friendly staff. The CG is clean, quiet and well maintained, but the sites are fairly short and narrow. As others have mentioned, tow vehicles usually extend into or are parked partially on the roads through the CG, but the roads are fairly wide throughout the CG. Also, our slides extended well past the concrete pad on both sides, leaving very little room to get around our RV. The sewer connections are not threaded, so you’ll have to weigh down your sewer hose. There is a fair bit of road noise from the highway. There is a nice open area, off leash pen and network of short trails for walking your dog. AT&T coverage was fair, ranging from 2-4 bars of 5G with speeds up to 19 MB/s. The CG WiFi speed varied considerably, from next to useless up to 1 MB/s. We were able to get DISH coverage on all three western satellites at our site. There were 11 OTA channels to be had with our fixed omni antenna.

Port of Newport RV Park & Marina

    Pricey for parking lot camping!

This place offers a regular RV park for something around $80/night, or dry camping for about $40/night. The dry camping area is literally a parking lot, but you have a nice view of the marina and also it’s really nice to be this close to town so we stayed here for a night. You’re sharing a parking lot with Rogue brewery and distillery, which is very cool. You’re also walking distance to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, also very cool. The town of Newport is cute and fun and there are many interesting and cool shops to browse, and many of them are dog friendly.

We didn’t use any of the amenities here, but we were told there is wifi and showers. There were dumpsters (no recycling), and a free dump station for campers. There was non-potable water at the dump station, but I am sure they would also let you fill your tanks with potable water.

    Harbor Vista Campground

Great little gem in Florence OR

I kinda like this little spot, although I must admit Florence OR isn’t on my to 10 places to stay on the coast. I find the beach access to the ocean (not river) to be a little more difficult here than other locations. Plenty of vegetation here in the park! Trees and bushes that others have described. This did cause us a small problem getting the slide out on the driver’s side while simultaneously lowering the entry steps on the passenger side. Site 25 if your wondering where we stayed exactly. Our picnic table was situated in the rear of the site. The tall vegetation provided great privacy from other campers, but also made it difficult to meet people. We had water, 30 amp power but now other amenities. Some sites do have full hookups. Our 30 foot trailer and truck did fit in the space length wise very nicely. The park is clean and welcoming. A trail will take you from the campsites down to the banks on the jetty. When the tide is out you can search for sand dollars and other tide pool finds. I work remote sometimes but our pre paid AT&T was almost non existent. T-Mobile worked good. Starlink wasn’t happening due to tree canopy obstructions. Yeah, so overall I’d say the park is great. Decently priced, level clean sites, great scenery, quiet. Cons for me, internet access is below average to poor ( your experience may be different), Florence lacks things that I personally am looking for on the Oregon coast, but you’ll need your own reasons for coming here. Mine was a stopover going north and to eat the best Thai food! That’s literally the name of the place lol Best Thai !  But if you’ve found yourself traveling through Florence, and needed a place to stop for a night or a week, I’d recommend here for sure.

Guide to Eddyville

Campgrounds near Eddyville, Oregon offer year-round access with distinctly different experiences between summer and winter months. Located along the Yaquina River valley, Eddyville sits at approximately 130 feet elevation where coastal fog often rolls inland during morning hours. Temperatures typically range from 40-75°F throughout the year, with higher rainfall from November through March averaging 10-15 inches monthly.

What to do

Beach exploration: Waldport offers easy access to miles of uncrowded coastline. "Beautiful campground just across from the Ocean. We're listening to the surf right now. Heavily treed but able to get good Starlink reception with download speed around 200 Mbps," notes a visitor at Thousand Trails Whalers Rest.

Crabbing: Siletz River provides excellent crabbing opportunities with rental gear available at several locations. A camper at McKinley's Marina & RV Park shared, "Had a great time and went home with some crab as well! Great views and a very clean Park with full hookups."

Family activities: Mini golf and swimming pools are available at select campgrounds near Eddyville. "We love the Whaler's Rest. So many good areas for kids to play and the staff really does a great job planning activities for the whole family," writes one reviewer about Thousand Trails Whalers Rest.

Coastal hiking: Lincoln City area trails range from easy beach walks to moderate forest paths. "We were able to bike to town and the staff was fantastic," mentions a camper who stayed during rainy weather but still enjoyed outdoor activities.

What campers like

Concrete camping pads: Many campers appreciate the firm, level surfaces at higher-end RV sites near Eddyville. "The campground is divided into a north and south side. We stayed on the south side with concrete pads that were nestled in between trees. We were here during significant rainfall and appreciated not being in mud," reports a camper at Thousand Trails Whalers Rest.

Ocean views: Depoe Bay offers premium oceanfront camping spots. "Depoe Bay OR. First row on the ocean. Sunset spectacular. Staff all seem like they love it here as much as we do! Dedicated staff person available to help you park in challenging spots," explains a visitor at Sea and Sand RV Park.

Newport marina access: Campers enjoy watching boat activity and easy fishing access. "Nice park! Staff is friendly. Right next to the Rogue Brewery and Bar which overlooks the Port of Newport. They have an overflow lot which isn't that great and near the Motel 6, but the Park is nice," notes a guest at Port of Newport RV Park & Marina.

Landscaping quality: Several RV sites near Eddyville maintain well-manicured grounds. "Very well looked after place with a nice newspaper delivery in the morning. Staff was super dog loving and friendly. There were little dog fenced areas, which is super thoughtful. The RV park so beautiful planted," shares a visitor at Premier RV Resort in Lincoln City.

What you should know

Limited cell coverage: Signal strength varies significantly across the region. "Because of the Olympics, we went ahead and set up our satellite, which had a clear shot to the southern sky. On Verizon, we got 1 bar and often no internet. We put up our WeBoost and got 2 to 3 bars but sometimes the 3G network wouldn't produce internet," explains a visitor at Seal Rocks RV Cove.

Busy summer season: Most campgrounds require advance booking from June through September. "They allowed us to stay in overflow even though all the sites were reserved. They still charged us full price but we were just happy to land somewhere for the night and get hot showers!" notes a last-minute camper at Thousand Trails Whalers Rest.

Highway noise: Sites along Highway 101 experience traffic sounds. "As the campground is right off 101, you're going to get highway noise but it does tapper down at night through early morning," reports a camper at Seal Rocks RV Cove.

Overflow options: Several campgrounds maintain backup dry camping areas for peak periods. "This place offers a regular RV park for something around $80/night, or dry camping for about $40/night. The dry camping area is literally a parking lot, but you have a nice view of the marina," explains a visitor to Port of Newport RV Park & Marina.

Tips for camping with families

Activity planning: Rainy day alternatives should be part of your preparation when visiting RV sites near Eddyville. "We stayed during the rainiest five days I've ever camped....but still had a great time. We were able to bike to town and the staff was fantastic," shares a camper from Thousand Trails Whalers Rest.

Beach access safety: Highway crossing points require careful supervision with children. "You can access a nice beach area directly across the road, by a path then crossing busy 101," notes a visitor at Seal Rocks RV Cove, highlighting the need for caution with young family members.

Playground facilities: Look for campgrounds with dedicated play areas. "We've been here a few times. It's always very relaxing. The facility is clean, there is a nice workout room, two lodges with store, pool and hot tub and mini golf. Kids enjoyed playing on the playground and walking to beach from trail," reports a family that stayed at Thousand Trails Whalers Rest.

Pet accommodations: Most campgrounds welcome dogs but have specific rules. "They were pet friendly and all of the staff were extremely nice! There are multiple spots right on the river which we were lucky enough to snag even though it was last minute," shares a family that stayed at Coyote Rock RV Resort & Marina.

Tips from RVers

Site privacy considerations: Some RV sites near Eddyville offer more separation than others. "This RV park has a fantastic location oceanfront! The park itself has paved, concrete sites, each with a patch of grass. It is nearly all Class As and most sites look like they are lived at longer term," explains a visitor at Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort.

Backing assistance: Tight sites may require maneuvering help. "Many sites you will need to be skilled at leaving your trailer. Also be very skilled at backing in as they can be at less than ideal angles," warns a camper at Thousand Trails Whalers Rest.

Utility hookup locations: Sewer connections at some sites may be inconveniently placed. "We had a fantastic view of the ocean from our site and the beach is easy access. We appreciated the extra precautions that they are taking to protect us during this time of Covid-19," shares a visitor to Seal Rocks RV Cove.

RV size restrictions: Some parks maintain strict rules about acceptable RV types. "This place was exactly as advertised. Very clean, very organized and the best views of the ocean in the drive in sites. Not a single complaint or issue," reports a visitor to Pacific Shores Motorcoach Resort.
