Best RV Parks & Resorts near Cedarville, OH

Several RV campgrounds surround Cedarville, Ohio, each with distinct amenities for motorhome travelers. Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort in South Charleston features 210 sites with electric, water, and sewer hookups, accommodating large vehicles with big-rig friendly spaces. Thousand Trails Wilmington offers full-hookup sites across its three loops, operating seasonally from April through October. Poor Farmer's Campground in Fletcher provides fifty-amp electrical service on level sites with water connections. Dayton KOA Holiday maintains 223 spacious sites with full hookups, catering to larger motorhomes with pull-through access. "The campground consists of 3 loops - A mostly full hookup, B loop Water and Electric and C loop is a mix. If you like wooded areas check out C loop."

Most area RV parks maintain clean restroom facilities and dump stations, though availability varies by location. Cell service quality fluctuates throughout the region, with T-Mobile reported as excellent at Thousand Trails when using signal boosters. During peak travel seasons, particularly fall, reservations become essential as sites fill quickly. Propane services are limited, with Love's RV Hookup being one of the few locations offering refills. Water and electric-only sites predominate in state parks like Caesar Creek and Buck Creek, which provide more natural settings but fewer amenities than private RV resorts. Pet policies are generally accommodating across most parks, though restrictions may apply in certain areas. A visitor commented that "The sites in the park are nice but small. There are no full hookup sites for those with bigger campers."

    Beechwood Acres Camping Resort

    Small, But Great Family Spot!

This is a great place to take the kids. We go here every year. They have an in-ground pool, a small store for camping needs, firewood delivery and propane refills. Cell service here is awful and there is no WiFi. The antenna will pick up several local channels. There is a Dollar General about 10 mins away for grocery needs. They have several pull-through and full hookup options as well. Sites are somewhat level. This park has beautiful landscaping that is always meticulously maintained. They also host events and if you check their event calendar on their website, you can see what’s going on during your stay. We were fortunate enough to see the band Timestamp and loved it! They even had a community bonfire!

    Kiser Lake State Park Campground

    Quiet Park

This park is know for the lake that is kayak and canoe friendly since it doesn’t allow any kind of boat with a motor. It also features a beach , 2 playgrounds and several hiking trails. Just be careful if you hike with dogs since some trails intersect with a nature preserve which doesn’t allow pets.

The campground itself has 20 electric sites , 56 primitive sites and 4 camper cabins. All the electric sites are pull through and all sites have a fire pit but only the electric sites come with picnic tables.

Due to off season and COVID the camp store is closed and there is no camper host or park office staff around.

We did notice lots of downed trees on the poorly marked hiking trails. Some trails just started but no maps were around and no trails were blazed. It was hard to tell where we were headed or how long a trail was. I tried using the new Detour app and it wasn’t very accurate for this park.

We did have good Verizon cell coverage.

    Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort

    Great Park

We decided to stay here last minute. Read the reviews and went for it. 45’ Prevost w/toad. Pull through we were assigned had very low hanging tree limbs. I called the office and asked if we could use space 41 instead. No problem! Everything is clean, well cared for, and really pretty. We did not use the showers, laundry, or pool. Cost was EXCELLENT for a pull through, full hookups, and 50 amp service. Yes, there are people staying full time, but each space is well taken care of with pride it seems.

    Sun Valley Campground

Beautiful campground with sites for RVs and tents.

This campground has a lot to offer with electric and water hookups for RVs with back-in and pull through sites. They have a dump station as well as an onsite bathroom/shower house. The owners are very friendly. I highly recommend.

    Buck Creek State Park Campground

    Great quiet site

A well manicured campground just outside Dayton, easy to get to, back in pavement site with 30A electric, picnic table and fire pit. Plenty of potable water spigots around, just not at the site. Dump station near the entrance of the campground. Walking trails along the lake well cared for. Plenty of activity with playground and an outdoor theater. Plenty of water-front pebble beach for enjoyment in the summer. Close to the campground is the marina with a restaurant , but won’t open til Memorial Day.

Addendum: July 2021 - was speaking with a number of people who have been here and they suggest not going during the summer. There is a large influx of rowdy locals who don't quite respect the peace and quiet many of us like.

    Pastime Campground

    Quiet and Convenient

There are 38 grass sites that are a bit snug, but mostly pleasant. New in June 2019 are 18 gravel padded sites, with lots of space. All sites are W/E. All the new gravel sites and half the grass ones have 50/30/20A electric, the rest are 30/20A. The park has a dump station. Two of the gravel sites have sewer hookup.
All sites are clean, with tables and fire rings. There is a very nice and clean restroom/shower facility. Walking path and playground are adjacent to the campground. There is a nice swimming pool at the south end of the village park. Campers get a discounted admission. Most all sites have lots of shade.

    Stonelick State Park Campground

    Awesome small State park

An older but updated Ohio State Park. Ran by a great volunteer staff! Nice canoe and kayaking lake, no motor lake. Fishing is good off shore or boat. Had a Bat house building event when we were there. Updated restrooms and shower house. Lots of shaded sites both 30 and 50 amps, no full hook ups, but easy to get too dump and water source for filling tank.

    Very clean and shady

The campsites are shaded and pretty level. I am using a pull through and it is long enough for my RV and 24’ trailer. There is a very nice cement slab with a nice fire pit and picnic table.
