Bandits Roost Campground is located on the south side of W. Kerr Scott Reservoir in western North Carolina. Constructed in the beautiful Yadkin River Valley, the lake offers extensive opportunities for outdoor recreational activities. Recreation The 1,475-acre reservoir offers excellent boating, canoeing, kayaking and swimming opportunities. Anglers will find channel catfish, large and smallmouth bass, bluegill, threadfin shad, spotted bass, striped bass, and hybrid striped bass. Miles of multi-use trails, that allow hiking and mountain biking, surround the lake, including the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail, which has a trailhead at the campground. An additional 25 miles of trails can be found at the Warrior Creek and Dark Mountain areas. Facilities The campground offers 102 campsites, including 17 tents sites and 85 standard sites with water and electric hookups. The popular group tent area offers a covered shelter with water and electricity, a grill, six tables and seven tent pads. Amenities include flush and pit toilets, showers, drinking water and a dump station. A boat ramp, swim beach, playground, basketball court and amphitheater offer additional recreation opportunities. ## Overview

Berry Mountain Park Shelter is located in Berry Mountain Park at W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir in northwestern North Carolina. 

#### Natural Features:

The gentle Yadkin River flows through its scenic namesake valley on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountain foothills. Forests of mixed hardwoods, including sycamore, poplar, oak and hickory, cover the region. Wildlife is abundant in the valley. White-tailed deer, black bear, eastern cottontails and more can be found among the hills. Birds in the area include wild turkey, woodpeckers, Carolina chickadees, red-eyed vireo, ovenbirds, mallards and wood ducks.

#### Recreation:

The 1,475-acre reservoir offers excellent boating, canoeing, kayaking and swimming opportunities. Anglers will find channel catfish, large and smallmouth bass, bluegill, threadfin shad, spotted bass, hybrid striped bass and tiger muskellunge. Roughly 30 miles of multi-purpose trails surround the lake, one of which can be accessed from the park. All of these trails are recognized as some of the best mountain biking trails in the country attracting riders from all corners of the world.

#### Facilities:

This ADA-accessible lakefront shelter offers six, 8-foot picnic tables. A water spigot can be found at the shelter but there is no electricity available. You can enjoy other park amenities which include a playground, grill, flush toilets, showers, swim beach and a basketball court.

Tellurian Family Campground offers conveniently located spacious travel trailer, camper, RV and tent camp sites with incredible views and access to a pristine mountain river. The property consists of 93 acres and 2780 feet (1⁄2 mile) of river frontage on the First Broad River. The First Broad River offers canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. Smallmouth and freshwater sunfishing is incredible on this stretch of the river and there are also opportunities for mountain river catfish.

Tellurian’s scenic location offers stunning vista views of the surrounding countryside, sprawling views of the South Mountain and Cherry Mountain ranges, as well as long range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The sunsets are amazing and the star lit skies are uninhibited by city lights. One of the few lights that can be seen at night lights up a steeple silhouetted against the mountain ridges. It’s truly a peaceful site.

Come enjoy a unique RV/Camper get away spot. Water, sewer and 30 amp hook-up now available! Come relax by the creek and experience nature. No need to check-in, pull right into the private driveway and set up camp.

**The space**

Social distancing at its finest! Now featuring 4g for AT&T customers, so come work from the woods! This campsite will only be shared with you and your guests! No need to check-in. Pull right onto the private drive from the dirt road. Water, sewer and power hook-ups are available. Winter stays are welcome and a heated hose is provided for those crisp winter nights. RV or campers required as restrooms are not available. Tents are certainly welcome with an accompanying camper with a restroom. Feel free to bring as many tents and additional guests as you would like! Just know they will have to share the camper restroom. A sanded campsite will comfortably fit a large camper or RV. Room for additional campers that don’t require hookups.

**Guest access**

You are free to roam the property and creek as you wish. If you wish to explore forest and hike the old logging roads, a map of the property lines is provided in the onsite guidebook.

**Other things to note**

WiFi is through satellite internet so during inclement weather or high traffic times, internet will be slow. WiFi is for basic web surfing, work tasks and communication only. Video streaming (Netflix, Tik-tok etc) is not permitted to preserve data for future guests. Who wants to watch Greys Anatomy while camping anyway? VOIP and video conferencing is prioritized over all other connections but the quality is not guaranteed.



Firewood from a local supplier is available for purchase, on site, by the honor system. The price is 20 dollars per wheel barrow filled to the height of your choosing.



Provided conveniences includes a bug light, outdoor table, heated hose, adapter to convert the camper plug to a traditional outlet, small drop cord, gold pans and cooking utensils.

Property entrance is the first mailbox on your right on Pilot Ridge road. Slow down because its a hairpin turn into the property.  Go down the road and carefully do a turn around when you reach the boat and park (see details below).  Sorry for the abandoned cabin, it is not ours, do not enter.

TRUST ME RECOVERY ISNT EASY

Centrally located on the property and off of the main trail you'll find our Tentrr campsite. The site has amazing views in the Fall and Winter.  An easy walk to get to the water falls, just be sure and don't trip over all the Quartz. You'll find plenty of hiking trails nearby to explore all within 20 minutes! The Blowing Rock tourist attraction is about 25 minutes from the site. Restaurants and shops are about a 20 minute drive into the town of Blowing Rock, you'll find a variety of great food options. 

Parking from site is about a less than 5 minute walk.

The Space:
Six acres of land to explore with waterfalls and beautiful views of Pisgah National Forest. Just 15 mins away from downtown Blowing Rock and 90 mins from Asheville, you'll find complete solitude here.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable).
