Best RV Parks & Resorts near Holland, NY

Several RV parks operate in the Holland, New York vicinity with varied site layouts. Skyline RV Resort features big rig-friendly sites with full hookups including 30-amp and 50-amp electrical service, open from May through mid-October. "The sites are a little tight if you like to spread out," noted one camper, mentioning that some site maps may not accurately reflect sewer hookup availability. Jellystone Park of Western New York in North Java accommodates large motorhomes across its 229 sites, providing both 30-amp and 50-amp connections with water and sewer hookups. Maple Lane RV Park near Cuba offers spacious pull-through RV pads suitable for larger rigs, though only 50-amp service is available at this location operating from April through October.

Between Buffalo and Rochester, most RV parks require advance reservations during peak summer months and fall foliage season. Dump stations are provided at nearly all established RV parks, though Red Rock Ponds RV Resort and several others offer full sewer connections at individual sites. Cell service remains reliable throughout most of the region's developed campgrounds. According to one visitor, "the electric, water and sewer worked perfectly" even at more basic facilities. Pets are generally welcome at RV parks near Holland, though some implement breed restrictions or designated pet areas. Propane filling service is limited, with most parks requiring guests to seek refills in nearby towns. Winterization begins at most parks by late October, with few remaining open beyond Halloween.

    Evangola State Park Campground

Some Sites Have a View of Lake Erie

    Unfortunately, my site did not.

However, my site wasn't crowded and the electricity was reliable. This campground has three loops. One has 30 amp power, one has 50 amp power (with a 30 amp outlet on the same pedestal) and the third loop is for tent camping. There are several places to get water in the camp, so be sure to fill up your tanks before you park. There is a dump station. None of the sites are full hook up.

Each site has a picnic table and a grill.

There are two bath houses. The newer one - between loops one and three - also has laundry facilities.

Your payment for your campsite entitles you to admission to the beach, which is a hike or a drive away.

Four Mile Creek State Park Campground

    Simple campground on Lake Ontario

We stayed here because it was near Niagara Falls and had site availability. We stayed at a non-electric campsite (mid-June). There were 4 other campsites occupied in our area. We have a camper van with solar power and fresh water. There is a shower in the non-electric section but it's not heated water. Since it's June, the temperature was only mildly shocking to my senses. However, the rest of the showers in the campground are heated (we checked). There are at least two laundry facilities. I actually exchanged cash for quarters at the front office. The grounds are well maintained. Beware of the resident skunk that walks around. I didn't test the cell signal here but I was able to work remotely and video chat.

    Cinderella Motel & Campsite

Basic, Convenient, VFM (value for money)

This campground is very basic with very close campsites.  The bathhouse and laundry are old but clean.  The staff were very friendly and helpful.  It is very close to Niagara falls and for the money it is the best campground here.  KOA and Branches CGs are nicer but they are also triple the price which for us did not seem worth it.  We were in a back in gravel site that backed up to the motel which may not seem that nice but the electric, water and sewer worked perfectly.  Our 40 foot MH and Toad fit with room to spare.  There were sites that were on the outskirts of the property that backed to the woods which some people may prefer.  Those sites were just as close although there were several that would take big rigs bit don't expect to open your awnings in most sites.   There is a nice grassy area in the center with a small covered pavilion.   There are a few sites on the side/front of Motel.  We were here to visit Niagara Falls so location and a basic campground with full hookups was all we were looking for and this campground fit our needs perfectly.  We would stay here again.

    Niagaras Lazy Lakes Camping Resort

    Clean & Friendly

We have camped here several times. Bathrooms are very clean along with the showers. They are cleaned on a daily basis. Store on site has just the bare amenities. Big clubhouse, 2 heated pools and a pond to fish (catch & release). Sites are big. Pet friendly. Staff are very friendly. 10-15 minutes from Niagara Falls and close to stores. It does have 2 on site laundry facilities but the dryers take a while. Enjoy going there.

    Darien Lakes State Park Campground

    Clean/Quiet Campground

9/25-9/29/22- The park was nearly empty, perhaps 6 or 8 other campers widely spread out. It was immaculate and the sites well spaced apart. All site have a picnic table and fire pit. Ours had both 30A and 50A power, was pretty level left/right but about 6” high in front before we leveled our 34’ fifth wheel. The park has drinking water faucets at a variety of places throughout, but site#15 has a faucet directly next to it, so we had water available too. Both AT&T 4G and Verizon 5G had 3 bars reception. The dump station was clean and convenient. It looked like a great place for kids that included at least one (probably more) playground.

    AA Royal Motel & Campground

An old campsite that fits our needs

This is not a resort campground nor is it a campground built for escapism. It’s very close to Niagara Falls, the Rainbow Bridge (for driving into Canada), and Buffalo, NY.

Mike is very friendly; check in was easy. The sites are full hook up or w/e only. There are pull throughs and back-ins, 30amp and 50amp sites. Your site is assigned once you arrive. You pay a deposit when you book and pay the rest when you arrive.

They have Good Sam and weekly discounts and I was also given a cash/check discount. So our total was $51 a night for a week’s stay.

The sites toward the front are definitely more level and have better cell service, but the sites toward the back are better shaded. Cell service and wifi was enough for me to work during the week and stream at night.

The facilities could use some work. They are very old, and it’s hard to tell if they are clean or just old. Laundry is available - $2.50 a wash/$1.75 a dry.

Basically, don’t expect a beautiful vacation campground. I work full time remotely from the camper. I was able to work during the days and get to Niagara Falls, CAN, and Buffalo quickly after work. Even with the discount, which I’m thankful for, it is overpriced for what it is. But it served my needs, I felt safe, and the owner was friendly so 3 stars. With some TLC to the sites and the facilities, I’d give it 4.

    AA Royal Motel & Campground

    Good location

This campground is open year around which is really hard to find in this area. We needed to come here for personal reasons before any other campground was opened. So far this isn’t bad could be better/ cleaner.

It is 50 amp full hook up with free Wi-Fi that doesn’t suck.

The site are paved level back ins and pull throughs

The staff was nice enough. Haven’t had much interaction with him.

There is a great Italian store right across the street and Niagara Falls down the road. I would stay here in a pinch again

Guide to Holland

RV sites near Holland, New York provide camping options between Buffalo and Rochester in western New York's rural landscape. The camping season typically runs from May through October, with most facilities closing before winter weather arrives. Area campgrounds range from family-oriented resorts with extensive recreational amenities to basic overnight sites for travelers exploring the region.

What to do

Miniature golf courses: Several campgrounds offer on-site miniature golf, including Jellystone Park of Western New York where "put put was free" according to Sara H., making it a budget-friendly activity for families staying at the campground.

Water recreation options: Swimming opportunities range from pools to natural settings. At Red Rock Ponds RV Resort, the pond area provides a natural swimming spot, while Jellystone Park features "heated pools" and a "beach was clean" as noted by Sara H.

Seasonal activities and events: Campgrounds schedule special weekend events throughout the season. Amy T. mentions that Jellystone has "the best fireworks for July 4 and their Halloween weekends are full of fun and fright!" Matthew M. confirms: "We went on the 4th of July and they had amazing fireworks and activities galore for the kids."

What campers like

Clean facilities: Many reviewers specifically note cleanliness as a priority. Sydney W. reported that at Southwoods RV Resort, "Bathrooms were very clean. Quiet campground." Similarly, Bella S. appreciated that the "pond was great for the dogs" at Niagara Hartland RV Resort.

On-site repair services: Some campgrounds offer technical support for RV issues. Paul G. noted that Skyline RV Resort "have a repair shop on site," which can be crucial for travelers experiencing mechanical problems during their stay.

Proximity to regional attractions: Maple Lane RV Park receives praise for its location. Jan F. called it a "Great stopover close to Letchworth State Park" and noted it was "Very convenient to I-86 and also town of Cuba."

What you should know

Site spacing varies significantly: Some campgrounds feature more densely packed sites than others. Paul G. described Skyline RV Resort as "a little tight if you like to spread out," while Dan found that Niagara Hartland RV Park "Appears more for permanent campers" with a feel that "Looks more like a trailer park."

Seasonal vs. transient camping sections: Many parks separate long-term and overnight campers. Nancy W. explained that Southwoods RV Resort "has separate sections for seasonal and transient campers and has a variety of different campsites from back-ins to pull-thrus, 50 to 30-amps, and full hook-up to water and electric only."

Weekend vs. weekday experience: Crowd levels change dramatically on weekends. Nancy W. observed Southwoods RV Resort "going from half full and quiet to packed with lots of music, all-day fires, and big gatherings" during her stay.

Tips for camping with families

Dedicated children's play areas: Families appreciate campgrounds with multiple recreation options. Sydney W. noted that Southwoods RV Resort has "Lots of plays areas for kids," while Hope C. mentioned it has "2 well kept pools, playgrounds, laundry facilities, mini golf, soccer, basketball."

Activity schedules: Jellystone Park specializes in children's programming. Erin H. describes it as "like a water park, meets campground. Games areas, activities galore," though she cautions "Would not recommend to someone looking for silence or just passing through."

Noise considerations: Family-oriented parks can be bustling, especially on weekends. Robyn S. cautions that at Jellystone "your kids won't be bored while staying here. There is enough to keep them entertained for days. Down side is it is very busy if your looking to relax."

Tips from RVers

Site accuracy and hookups: When booking, verify your exact hookups. Paul G. reported that at Skyline RV Resort "The map was not correct and we did not have sewer hook up at the sight. The dumping station was free or included."

WiFi performance: Internet access can be unreliable during peak usage. Nancy W. noted at Southwoods RV Resort they "had free WiFi which worked well except during peak hours and over the weekend when the park was full."

Off-season access to amenities: Check which services remain available late or early in the season. Most RV parks near Holland close by late October, with full services limited as the season winds down. Rich L. shared that at Southwoods "we really enjoyed the setup and location of all the amenities this campground has."
