    Big Guys Campground

    Activities for all ages!

There is so much to do at this camp! They have a jump pillow, pool arcade, movie room, RC track, and bingo for everyone. They have live music at tavern on the property with great food! They have a disc golf field, fishing, and so many places to go on the golf carts! They also go in big on their themed weekends. Great place to go if you want the kids exhausted at the end of the day!!

    Niagara County Camping Resort

    Niagra County Camping Resort

Arrived late at night to this established site. This is a mixed accommodation campground with established long term residents & short term sites.

Some sites include a table, power access and tire rim for fire-ring. Showers & flushing toilets are near RV sites in back area. Small camp store, swimming pond & fishing pond. Manager, Christine very nice & helpful.

Campground is relatively close to scenic drives along Lake Ontario & Niagra State Park, Niagra Falls.

Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill

    Inexpensive, Peaceful.

I've stayed here on 3 separate occasions, twice in RV 12 and once in RV 6.

I used the 30 AMP hookup and had zero issues.

Beautiful playground for my son to enjoy and meet other kiddos. Deer, chipmunks and rabbits will say hi in the early and late hours.

    Large dumpsters near entrance.

Dump stations are present, but I haven't used them yet.

Potable water is present at a small spigot.

The washrooms facility is very close and speaking for the men's side, it had 2 stalls, 2 urinals, 2 showers, multiple sinks, and a sturdy baby changing station.

Hiking trails with gorgeous views of the valley within a 5 min walk of my campsite.

    Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground

    Kid friendly but Bee Problem

We had a lot of fun here and there’s a lot of activities for kids I would typically give this campsite 5 stars but our only problem was there were bees everywhere. I get some bees are apart of the camping experience and nature but we’ve never ran into this problem elsewhere. They were all over the campground it was very unpleasant and there was a nest under the playground we did advise management of.

    Hamlin Beach State Park Campground

    Relaxing 2 weeks

The camp store is closed along with no firewood and no laundry.

We stayed for 2 weeks and it was so relaxing. We loved biking through the loops and by the beach at the park. There was live music at the park during the week. The campground has an activity room full of things to do. As a state park, there are a lot of different people with different values, so be ready for the occasional obnoxious family. Our site was secluded and in the pines. We love it here and will definitely do this again!

    Stay Bristol Woodlands

    Well maintained and friendly Staff!

Campground is adorable, you can see a lot of other campers, but the spots are spaced out. Showers were nice, didn’t get to try the pool out as it was a quick stopover, but this seems like a fun place to spend some time

What to do

Hiking at Letchworth State Park: The park features numerous trails through the "Grand Canyon of the East" with three major waterfalls. "The canyon was incredible, and lots of look out spots. Golfing excursions: Combine camping with golf at select locations. One camper mentioned about Genesee Country Campground: "They have golfing here and tent areas back up to the 9th hole (but still separated so you don't feel like you are right on top of it) so you can easily knock around there and do a little golfing too!"

What campers like

Clean facilities: Well-maintained bathrooms and showers consistently receive praise. At Hamlin Beach State Park Campground, campers appreciate "Quality clean and well-run state park. Tons of campsites. Some shady areas. Hot showers & real toilets."

Spacious campsites: Site size varies significantly between campgrounds, with some offering exceptional spacing. "The sites in the loop we stayed in had about 75' between driveways, all with varying levels of trees/brush between them, very secluded," reports a Hamlin Beach visitor.

What you should know

Seasonal limitations: Most campgrounds operate only from May through October with specific opening dates. Hamlin Beach State Park operates from "May 13 to October 16" while Southwoods RV Resort runs from "May 1 to October 31."

Train noise: Several campgrounds have nearby train tracks that create periodic noise. At Six Flags Darien Lake Campground, one camper noted, "There was a train track close to camping" which can disrupt sleep for light sleepers.

Nearby attractions: The region offers family entertainment beyond campgrounds. One Conesus Lake camper shared, "Attractions close by is a drive-in with 4 different screens, many places to eat, parks (Vitale Park was really nice), a fun center with mini golf, go carts, batting cages, laser tag and arcade."

Playgrounds and activities: Look for campgrounds with structured recreation. At Southwoods RV Resort, "Family friendly park, lots of activities, park hosts/owners are hands on and awesome," making it suitable for children of various ages.

Tips from RVers

Site leveling: Many campgrounds feature varied terrain that may require leveling equipment. A Conesus Lake visitor mentioned the campground has "rough terrain" and noted the steep hill dividing sections: "You do have to go up a pretty steep hill to get to the 'transient' camping section, but there are many pull through, level, full hook up sites to choose from."

Hookup availability: Options range from primitive to full-service sites. Hamlin Beach offers electric-only, requiring water management: "Sites are electric only but with a 100' hose you can reach a spigot from most any spot to re-fill the camper."

Access considerations: Some campgrounds have challenging terrain or tight entrances. "Our particular site was a little snug getting into but opened up nicely behind the tree line at the road," noted a visitor to Hamlin Beach about navigating larger vehicles through the campground.
