Best RV Parks & Resorts near Ava, MO

We stay here 3 or 4 times a year, they have lots to offer. Bike/hiking trails, horse shoe pits, basketball court, a very large picnic area a store with thing's if you forget something, very nice bathrooms with showers. They offer tent camping area that's pretty nice, and rv camp site with Full hook ups and some with just water and electric. It's a must see, also, some site are available year round

Nice clean RV park. Full hookups.. could use additional Washing machines and dryers for the number of people here. Reasonable rates for a pull through... We're just staying for two nights, but I would stay here again...

We stayed at this campground 1 night on our way between COVID-19 quarantine locations.  We found the park easy to navigate (no tight turns).  Large semi paved spaces (I say semi paved because the concrete pads were crumbling at least in our spot).  Good separation between sites with picnic tables, no shade but they do have a dog park.  Hookups were easy to reach and appeared to be in good repair.  Decent water pressure.  Many of the spaces were permanent campers or long term workers but it felt safe and appeared well maintained.

This is camping, not an RV park. Gravel roads and uneven RV spots with uneven picnic/fire pit areas. One or two trees between most campsites, but very open. My site had 30 amp electric, water, and sewer. It had cable tv, which I didn’t use. Ask about 50 amp electric. Bathrooms looked clean but they are located by the general store on the way to the river. River was completely wooded with a large dock and moorage. I did not notice laundry facilities. There is a general store, but nobody to help you park. Lots of space, so that wouldn’t be a problem. Do expecting level your rig as most spots are uneven.

While the resort is surrounded by River and trees it’s a short drive into civilization.

The state park is located on Table Rock Lake and offers 2 campgrounds. RV hookups and tent camping available. Each site has a picnic table, fire pit with grill cover and a paved area. Some of the spots are rocky so keep that in mind. There is also a bathhouse, fairly clean. While we were there we went to the Dewey Short Visitor Center which was really neat. There is also some hiking and a playground for the kids! Close to Branson, MO. I would highly recommend a tour of Dogwood Canyons while in the area!

We have been coming to this park for years.  We did not stay here last couple of years due to the amount of Longterm campers that had trashed the place.  The new Owners have really cleaned up the park and gotten rid of so many of the problems that were bringing this once loved park down.  

They have since cleaned up the park, gotten rid of the long term campers who were not friendly and were frankly scary.  They've implemented security and rules and hired a fantastic manager. 

They have brought in new facility, renovated the office and community room and are adding new pads.  Added a new community fire pit and bbq area and have cook outs with the guests on weekends.  The handful of long term guests who have stayed are extremely friendly and love the changes that have happened.

That is ultimately why we decided to give it another try and we are so glad we did!  

So happy to have this once amazing park coming back to life.

Very nice campground staff at check-in. Friendly environment. Great full hook up site and easy to get into. Big rig friendly.

Level sites, full hookups, right on the White River and fun trout fishing!

Have stayed here couple of times and only in full hook up. The sites are so very small we can't put out a rug or awning if someone is camping beside us. Have never been in shower house personally but father and brother both said not clean.

We stayed there with 4 campers total. Nice place to camp. We did not have full hook ups so short walk to shower house that was pretty clean. Nice laundry area as well. Awesome trails with in walking distance from camp. Very busy park but nice and quiet.

Loved, loved, loved staying here! Hosts were gracious and easy to work with. Location is great for all the outdoor activities and is close to the fun in Branson. Edgewater has all the amenities you could want; great views, a lake to fish, swim, or boat in, a pool and a playground. We stayed in our RV and found the sites to be level, clean, and private. They are nestled by the lake with a privacy fence separating the spacious sites. Each site is full hook-up (back-in) with no obstructions. Each site came with their own newly constructed fire pit and picnic table. Our stay was lengthy and the pricing fair. Our family will definitely be back!

My wife and I camped here for four nights. Overall it was nice, but there were some things that I wish we knew. The location is great in the sense that it’s easy to get to and it’s laid out well. Unfortunately, it’s directly under an overpass and it is loud- loud enough that I used ear plugs at night.

It’s located on the White river and has a very nice gravel boat ramp, which is a big positive. It also has fishing access during low water.

The WiFi is excellent and the staff are super helpful and friendly.

The biggest plus for us is the bathrooms were among the best that we have found. They’re clean and fairly new.

There is plenty of property to walk and they were very pet friendly. It looks like many of the guests are long term residents.

Was visiting my dad who stays in the park recently as a long term guest and have to say that they have done a lot the last few months under new management.  

My dad's neighbors were not the nicest people and they had two large dogs they allowed to crap everywhere and would never clean up their area.  

There were multiple complaints about the problem to the previous owners and nothing was done.  

The new owners came in, in December and quickly cleared out the problem guests made everyone clean everything up and made the place back to its former glory.  

They have also made it a point to personally know my elderly father and keep an eye on him for us so we know he is safe and being looked after while he enjoys the park with his dog.  

They have made sure that the spaces are clean.  Got rid of the unsafe guests who decided to take the place over and have made it a safe beautiful spot to stay once again!

So thankful they purchased the park and made it a safe and wonderful spot for the family to visit and a wonderful spot for my dad to enjoy his time.

Can't thank them enough!

When we booked this RV resort online months ago, we were able to reserve specific lots so that us and our friends could park our RV’s next to or close to one another for the duration of our trip. Based on the information online, we reserved, paid and confirmed for those specific lots. We drove 5 hours with two families and two RV’s to find out that we were not placed in the lots we reserved nor were we anywhere close to the family that we were traveling with. When we asked about the issue, all we were told is“im sorry” with a few shoulder shrugs… so since we drove all day and were there and tired, we set up anyways thinking it would be fine and we would just deal with it. They did tell us we could rent a golf cart for an additional$65/day, but why would we pay more for something that wasnt even our doing. No thanks. After setting up everything, we were very excited to head to the beautiful pool that we saw advertised online. Turns out, the pool pictured on their website is for“owners” only. As visitors, we were only allowed access to a smaller pool. We were disappointed to hear this and if I was at any other“resort” or hotel, I would have left. Its just not what we were lead to believe we were paying for. We decided to still give it a try and when we got to the small pool…. Ugh… it was absolutely disgusting! The walls of the pool were green, the water was cloudy and there were about 3 chairs available. I was afraid to even let my kids swim in it! Ew! To get out during the day, We rented a boat from a different marina(bc they do not offer a boat service like their website says) Go to Cricket Creek Marina! Way better!! We will not be going back to this resort. Although the grounds were pretty… any KOA blows this place away when it comes to being family friendly. We travel all over the country with our RV and this resort, by far, has been the most disappointing. 1 star overall, 2 stars just because the location is on the lake. Save your money.

We didn't stay for long only a few days.  But we have visited years ago and enjoyed the park.  

We came back a little over a year ago and drove right back out.  Recently were told it had been purchased and the new owners were cleaning the place out so we decided to give it a shot with the family for a short visit to decide if we'd come back for a longer visit later.

We had a great time!  The place has been fully overhauled.  

They are still doing some odds and ends but it wasn't bothersome.  

The new manager is fantastic. she was so nice and is constantly running around planting and making sure everyone is doing well. 

There's a hand full of long term guests that remained and we were told that the new owners really cleaned out all of the problem guests making it such an enjoyable place for them that they want to do cook outs with the guests and meet new friends again.  

They are really working hard on making this place a great place for families to to come and have a good time and the guests are really appreciating all they are doing.  

Everyone we talked with was so happy to sit and chat and just get to know each other around the community fire pit.  

So happy to not have to go back to the state park now that this place is on track to being the great place it once was.

This campground offers RV camping with full hookups or tent camping. The RV sites are a little small and close to each other, and you can tell some people are long time campers. That being said, it’s a very nice area by the river with lots of fishing, floating, and swimming opportunities. A few things to keep in mind-if it’s been raining a lot it does tend to get muddy, we don’t have 4WD and got stuck, luckily some others there did and helped us out. Once it dried up it was no problem. (It had been over for over a week, so it was out of the norm) The exit to get out is a hill with gravel so again not having 4WD that was a little tricky, the visibility is also not great because of curves so you just have to hope people aren’t going too fast. The last thing is this place is also a canoe rental so there are vans/buses with canoes going back and forth all day so it can be noisy.
