RV parks surrounding Redwood Falls offer varying levels of hookups and amenities for motorhome travelers. Jackpot Junction Casino Campground in Morton provides full hookup sites with 50-amp electrical service, sewer, and water connections for larger RVs. Prairie View RV Park in Granite Falls features spacious pull-through sites with cement pads and complete hookups, operating seasonally from May through October. Fort Ridgely State Park Campground accommodates RVs with electric sites and 30-amp service, though the campground layout tends toward closely spaced sites. Plum Creek Park Campground offers 75 sites with both 30-amp and 50-amp electric hookups. "Very nice pull through cement pads. Easy full hook up's, and quite. Very clean and up to date facilities," noted one Prairie View visitor.

Several RV campgrounds in the region maintain modern facilities despite their rural location. Most parks offer sanitary dump stations, though availability of on-site sewer hookups varies significantly between locations. Cell service can be inconsistent, particularly at Fort Ridgely where reception is limited within the campground but available near the historical site. Advance reservations are recommended for weekend stays, especially during summer months and fall color season. The terrain throughout most parks is relatively level, with Prairie View and Jackpot Junction providing the most accessible big rig sites. Pets are generally allowed at all area campgrounds, though specific restrictions may apply. Water and electric hookups are standard, while full hookup sites with sewer connections are less common outside dedicated RV parks.

      Spirit of Ripley

      Small and family owned

Nice large grass pads, easily accessible for big rigs! Close to the lake(mom and I went for some bike rides around the lake) and public boat access. Each site had a picnic table and a fire ring provided. All sites have power, water, and sewer hook ups.

      Masonic West River Park

      Riverfront!!

Amazing campsite! Sites are large and grassy! We had a lakeview site right off the paved walking/biking trail with room for a large tent and the pop-up camper. Fire ring and picnic table provided. A man drives through the campsite close to dusk to sell firewood as there is no traditional office. Bathrooms and showers are located near the dump station and dumpster. Be on the lookout for the code for the doors during your reservation process. We had missed it and had to ask a neighbor if they knew the codes so we could shower.

      Great holiday campaite

Park is privately owned and operated but shares a park with the city. Big events during holidays. Sites are well spaced for campers and renters alike. Has 50 amp, 30 amp and 20 amp services as well as boondocks sites. Dump station at park with blue tote available from the office. Kids love the park and lake!

      Schreier's On Shetek Campground

      Great Park, Mostly Seasonals

We visited here before the fishing opener, so while most of the spots were occupied by long term RVs, very few people around. We were told from fishing opener until the fall the place is busy. Family owned and operated park. Amenities include playground, fish cleaning house, paddleboat and canoe rentals, hiking trails.

Hiking, biking, canoeing, disc golf, playground..... All sorts of fun stuff. Clean park and facilities. Must full hookup sites are occupied by seasonal renters. The park appears full but while we were here I saw 3 other people. The daily sites are 30 and 50 electric only. There is a fresh water fill spigot on the bathroom closest to the daily sites.. There's also a dump station onsite. 2.5 miles from Walnut Grove if you're visiting the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. T-Mobile 40mbps download and Verizon 5mbps download.

Similarly, smaller county parks like Oraas County Park offer seclusion. Jackie P. reported, "We happened to be the only one in the park all weekend, which was awesome."

Creek access: Fort Ridgely State Park Campground features sites along a creek that enhances the camping experience. Ken F. recommends "Campsite 37 is right on a bend in the river and has an amazing view! Most others along the river don't have the view but you can still sleep to the sound of running water." Another visitor mentioned that "the creek through the campground is beautiful and the sound of water over the rock is great for sleeping."

Wildlife viewing: Several campgrounds offer opportunities to observe local wildlife. Alison O. reported at Flandrau State Park: "Had tons of peaceful animal visitors including herds of white tail deer walking through our camp ground! Owls and coyotes singing in the distance."
