Snake River RV Resort and Rivers Edge RV Park are major RV destinations near Homedale with full hookup sites including electric, water, and sewer connections. The Snake River RV Resort features spacious pull-through sites with level concrete pads that accommodate big rigs up to 40 feet, while most spots include picnic tables and metal fire rings. "Our site was flat and level and a snap to set up our fifth wheel," noted one visitor about Snake River RV Resort. Rivers Edge RV Park offers waterfront sites alongside the Snake River with 30/50 amp service, though some RVers report the sewer connections are positioned higher than standard, requiring drain hose risers for proper flow.

Within 30 miles of Homedale, additional RV accommodations include Ambassador RV Resort in Caldwell and Wine Region RV Resort, both offering dedicated big rig access. Most parks in the region remain open year-round with fall and summer being particularly busy seasons. Cellular service varies significantly by location, with several reviews mentioning poor reception at parks closer to highways where tower congestion affects signal strength. Snake River RV Resort provides dump stations and trash service, while most parks accommodate pets. Based on reviews from The Dyrt, dump station availability is limited at Canyon Springs RV Resort, where RVers should plan accordingly for longer stays. All parks require reservations during peak summer months, particularly for weekend arrivals.

    River Point RV Park

    Newer, Nice, Maintained, Friendly!

This is a nice place. Not too expensive, close to town, traffic noise isn't bad, great staff and host. It's clean, newer amenities include some limited food items, ice, BBQs, dog area, propane, pool table, tennis court (or whatever ball you want to use for this size net), 1/2-court basketball, volleyball. They even have the balls to use (don't know about tennis or other similar-size balls though).

Large, wide spaces, many pull throughs. I can fit my truck next to my travel trailer. Asphalt drives and stall sites. Showers/restrooms are clean, so is the laundry area, all with newer equipment. Each shower/water closet is its own small room, hooks, bench, ADA accessible, sink, just like your own restroom. Laundry is $2 wash, $2 dry, quarters.

Indian Creek Campground — Lake Owyhee State Park

    Wow!

We followed our RV GPS and it showed the campground (CG) as being at the dam, but we had about 5 miles more to go. There were reviews that the road to the CG areas was challenging. We had called the ranger station and asked if we could get a 39’ 5th wheel up the road and had asked on our FB owners group, both said yes just take it slow. The “fun” starts at the dam with the most challenging portion being after the turn-off for the first CG, McCormack CG, which has sites with 30 AMP and water. We added a video to this review showing the drive  to Indian Creek CG about a mile further up the road. We are seasoned 5th wheelers and went slow with no problem. While we were there a 42’ 5th wheel came in with no problem as well. If you decide to bring a big rig especially the first time, suggest arriving/departing on a non weekend day to try and avoid meeting up with a boater on the single lane road. The lake gets a lot of daily boat activity with most boaters in by 9:00 AM and out around 3:00 PM. When you enter the CG you are on the first level where the camp host resides. There are info boards on which one had the name of people coming in with reservations, but there was no formal check in. There was no problem getting to back-in site 62 with water and 50/30 AMP. Sites 62-67 are on the upper 3rd level. Water pressure was about 40 psi and no issues with the 50 AMP. There is no cell phone service here and we knew that coming in. You are about an hour away from amenities so plan accordingly. Near the dam, there’s a small hut that rents kayaks etc. and states WiFi is available, but we didn’t try it. We did set up our satellite and as there are no shade trees on the 3rd level there was a clear shot to the southern sky. The 2nd level has some trees plus two cute little cabins, and more trees on the 1st level. There are several vaulted restrooms in the CG and at the boat ramp. Sites in both CGs vary in size but seemed consistent with website size descriptions. The dump station is back up the road at the McCormack CG along with the shower houses. Have to say the drive was well worth the stunning mountain and lake views. We had mule deer and a covey of quail visit us mornings and evenings. Even in mid August, we pretty much had the CG to ourselves, Mon- Thurs.

    Ambassador RV Resort

    Absolutely Nicest!!!

We stayed at the Ambassador RV Resort in Caldwell, Idaho in July and September 2021. This is one of the nicest, cleanest, well-maintained parks we have stayed at. This RV resort is a short drive off I84 and when you pull through the front gate, you become immediately aware that you are in for a great stay. The park is impeccably maintained. Huge pull-thru sites on level river rock pads. Directly beside the rock pad is a wide concrete patio area followed by another wide grassy area. Tons of room to set-up and relax outside. The pool, hot tub, and steam room are centrally located and are clean and inviting. The office and maintenance staff are top notch. You can even drop your garbage bag at the back of your camper in the morning and they pick it up and dump it for you. If you need propane, they will pick up your tank and bring it back to you. The resort also has the nicest gated dog run area we have ever seen. The WiFi worked great and they have cable. It was an absolute joy to stay here and we went back a second time this summer because we enjoyed it so much! For videos of the resort, visit our YouTube channel: Jeff & Steff’s Excellent Adventure.

    Boise Riverside RV Park

The Perfect RV Park For Visitors to Boise, Idaho

This RV Camping Site is AWESOME! They do allow tent camping and have cabins. They have full hookups for RV's as well. There is a lower rate for "back-ins" to the Boise River Greenbelt. They also have a higher rate for Pull Through Sites for RVs. There is so much to do in the area. Biking, hiking, walking along the Boise River. There is also some great fishing on the Boise River. This location is centered for city goers, snow skiers, white water rafters and anglers. We visited some nice restaurants within a short drive of the campgrounds. We rode our bikes along the trails, upstream and downstream. The campgrounds also rent bikes for those that don't have their own :-) You will not be disappointed with this campground if you want to get to know Boise, Idaho.

    Sunny Ridge RV Park

    The new owners are trying

The owner said they have had the park for about a year, and have made lots of improvements, but it still needs some work. The sites are confusing. We had site 17, but the water was so far I needed 2 hoses. The electric hook up was too far for my power cord, and I couldn’t reach the sewer hookups either. The sites are mostly grass (mud) with a small concrete pad. Internet is good, but I had no cell phone service. The owner was pleasant and waited for us to arrive after 8:00. We made it work for 1 night. There are cattle on the hillside behind the park, and deer wondered around as I was setting up. It is in a nice setting. Hopefully they can keep making improvements. Many of the people look like long term.

Well maintained campground with a super friendly staff. Clean facility: showers (good water pressure) and bathrooms. Reasonably priced laundromat. We were escorted to our gravel pull through site # 6

    Clean but Wifi is Poor

The park is clean and the facilities are nice. Most sites are gravel pull through with a concrete pad. They tell you that there’s limited access to Wifi. We couldn’t even connect.

Guide to Homedale

RV parks near Homedale, Idaho sit along the Snake River at approximately 2,200 feet elevation. Most campgrounds in this agricultural area operate year-round, with summer temperatures reaching 90°F and winter lows near 20°F. Cellular reception can vary dramatically between locations, with weaker signals common at sites situated near the Snake River where terrain affects coverage.

What to do

Kayaking the Snake River: Access the water directly from Rivers Edge RV Park, where campers can paddle to Oregon within a short distance. "I enjoyed the fact that you can kayak from the camp area on the Snake River, and within just a couple miles, you officially kayaked to Oregon," reports Matt S.

Visit local wineries: Several vineyards operate within 15 minutes of Homedale campgrounds. "We found a local vineyard that is a pleasure to visit. Good food, good wine and a great view of the vineyard while eating," notes a Rivers Edge RV Park visitor.

Explore the Boise Greenbelt: Located 30 minutes from Homedale at Boise Riverside RV Park, this 19-mile paved path follows the river. "We rode bikes along the path, enjoyed the river, toured Boise state and downtown, and even ate dinner without ever getting in our car," writes Todd.

Basketball and recreation: Many RV parks maintain sports facilities. River Point RV Park offers "a pickle ball court and a basketball court," while Wine Region RV Resort has community gathering areas for evening activities.

What campers like

Clean, maintained shower facilities: Abundant Life RV Park receives high marks for bathroom cleanliness. "Wonderful facility, folks are great, everyone seems pleasant and helpful! Fun little area to play pool, air hockey, puzzles, do laundry, showers and restrooms (very clean and nice!)," notes Greg and Beth C.

Grassy, shaded tent sites: While most locations cater primarily to RVs, Caldwell Campground offers dedicated tent camping. "Approx, 10-12 Grassy Tent sites, with shady trees, on a small 6 acre lake with entertaining ducks that do not beg for food," explains Gary M.

Swimming opportunities: The Snake River provides cooling options during hot summer months. "The water was so warm I swam at midnight! That's 5 stars," reports Mary D. about Rivers Edge RV Park.

Fishing access: Multiple campgrounds offer direct fishing opportunities. At Snake River RV Resort, one camper noted, "When the weather warms up in the spring this is a great place to catch channel catfish in the shallows."

What you should know

Higher sewer connections at some parks: Beyond the issues noted at Rivers Edge, several campgrounds have unusual hookup configurations. Carry drain hose risers or extensions to ensure proper drainage.

Varied site types between parks: Snake River RV Resort features "beautiful green grass, next to the river" while Ambassador RV Resort has "huge pull-thru sites on level river rock pads."

Airport noise at certain locations: Snake River RV Resort sits near Homedale Airport. "It was a little loud next to the Homedale Airport and a lumber mill," reports Nicole A.

Bathroom quality varies significantly: While some parks maintain immaculate facilities, others struggle. "The bathrooms... horror movie material! Showers, I'm pretty sure have never been cleaned. There was large mice or rat feces everywhere," reported one camper at Rivers Edge.

Periodic sprinkler operation: At Rivers Edge, one camper noted "loud sprinklers on all night" that disrupted sleep. Check with management about watering schedules.

Tips for camping with families

Check for recreation options: Caldwell Campground and RV Park offers "the lakeside location and walking trails" that provide activities for children. "The bathrooms and showers are excellent! Clean, secure," notes Rachele B.

Consider cabin rentals: Alternative accommodation options exist at select parks. "In late September we tried the cabins along the river. Wonderful quiet location, good hosts and amazing sunsets on the Snake River," shares Jacqueline L. about Rivers Edge cabins, though she cautions, "This is a place where you need to bring your own bedding and kitchen items."

Ask about planned activities: Some parks organize events. "Checked in at 4:45 and met at the door with invite to movie, popcorn in the evening. Free breakfast in the morning," reports a River Point RV Park guest.

Playground availability: Abundant Life RV Park features "a small playground" that keeps younger children occupied, while several parks maintain green spaces for outdoor games.

Tips from RVers

Check electrical hookups carefully: Ambassador RV Resort receives praise for reliable utilities. "The park is impeccably maintained. Huge pull-thru sites on level river rock pads," notes an experienced RVer.

Pre-arrival communication: Multiple campers note the communication from staff. "I will add that they are very communicative about your upcoming visit. I received several messages from them ahead of my visit to provide additional info and welcome," writes Christopher N. about Abundant Life RV Park.

After-hours check-in procedures: Most parks accommodate late arrivals. "I purchased the site after hours, and everything was paid for; check-in and registration were all done from my smartphone," reports Kevin W. about River Point RV Park.

Trash service varies: At Ambassador RV Resort, "You can even drop your garbage bag at the back of your camper in the morning and they pick it up and dump it for you," notes one review, while other parks require campers to use centralized dumpsters.
